I hired HLS Tree Service to trim my three queen palm trees. They came out when promised and did what I thought was a good job. They trimmed the trees, cleaned up nicely after themselves and left the yard looking nice. But.....during the night one go the trees broke in half where they had trimmed it. I took pictures and texted them to Hector who send his crew out the next day to look at the damage. Right away they took responsibility for it and agreed to replace the tree. It was delivered the next day and although it took them a couple of days to come back to replant it, they did a very professional job. I wish that I could remember the foreman's name as he was awesome and he deserves most of the credit as far as I am concerned. The only complaint that my wife has is that I agreed for them to replace a twenty year old tree with one that is much smaller. For me, it wasn't a big deal. I thought (and still do) that it might look nice to have trees that are different ages next to each other. Personally, I am very happy with the outcome and I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs tree service. read more

Just getting off the phone with son Anthony Araiza, did not keep their promises of what was agreed. Mowing the lawn doesn't mean leaving the grass almost a foot high where your foot sinks in it. Even if you weren't satisfied, they argue with you saying they sent people already and the job is done when clearly it isn't. Granted we left our backyard go due to our life schedule but as discussed the job wasn't done. We have 4 cypress trees and as agreed they were to cut and trim and shape. I guess they only heard the word CUT. Then instead of fixing, they will deny what was agreed and bargain for more money on what was already agreed. If you want a person to do what they say and if your unsatisfied, they would come back and fix because their website says "Satisfaction guaranteed" then DO NOT HIRE these people. CHOOSE A PROFESSIONAL who sticks to their own wording on their website. Original amount they wanted to charge was over $2200. They came down to $1500. For the work that was done and cleanup and follow what was promised, I wouldn't have even paid 1/3rd. I still paid cause my word was honest, too bad wasn't both ways. read more

When I was looking for someone to trim our queen palms I wanted a company that had a contractors license, bonded, and close proximity to my home. I had not heard of HLS Tree Trimming but found them via the Internet. Hector came to my house, saw what I wanted done, gave me a reasonable price, and after my wife and I completed our vacation that had been planned, the scheduled date for the work to be done was scheduled. Tony (one of the workers) came to my door, introduced himself in a professional manner, and the work began. The workers that did the job were very careful with my many plants around the trees taking care not to damage while dropping the fronds. What was of particular interest to me was when the two branches of new seeds had to be cut. The worker tied a rope around the branch, lowered the branch down to another worker, and the branch was placed into a dumpster. This is not the way other tree companies have done in the past. When the job was completed, there was no mess for me to take care. All of the trimmings, including the branches of seeds were taken away from my property.
