We had two Lemon Scented Gum Eucalyptus that were 95 feet tall. 3 Liquid ambers 3 Avocados Huge ficus and other sucker trees growing into the Redlwoods. This was all cleaned up to Hunting Garden standards and the place was left clean. This was one days work, incredible price in my mind for the skill required to do this place and you couldn't ask for nicer owners who were here to observe and guide the awesome guys climbing the trees. I was having an issue with a neighbor wanting to cut my tree that was 85 feet tall. I had concerns the tree would die if the neighbor cut it the way he had planned, Heath helped me prove my tree was healthy and how to properly cut it so that it would not die. The crew that came out to remove a huge Mulberry tree, massive Aloe Vera that toppled over and clean up several palm trees were second to none. They arrived promptly and worked professionally to remove everything while making sure sprinklers or anything else in the ground was not getting damaged. We were involved in a wild fire. I called S & H ( Dement landscaping recommended them) Heith was very accommodating. He arranged his schedule to come out the very next day. Heith and his amazing group of men always do an incredible job on trimming our Crepe Myrtle trees and our large Sycamore. Today we also had them take out a dozen 30-year-old Ligustrum bushes and grind the very large and deep root system. Heath came out and gave me a quote for trimming 3 trees and removing 2. This was on May 24th. He advised me that I would be receiving a text confirming the price. Never Received. Then we agreed on a time that he would be here in the morning. He didn't show up, but 2 guys wearing another tree company name showed up an hour and 20 minutes late. The one guy indicated that he has worked With Heath for a long time. Heath claimed that the guy works for him. After about 20 minutes of the two guys whacking the tops off two of the trees I had them stop and called Heath. After some of the worst tree trimming the guys finished with what they thought was a good job. Heath ended up coming out after I requested that he take a look at the job that was done. I listened to some of his sorry excuses and stated that if you want to get paid that you need to try and fix what was done. After he got ugly and stated that he wanted to just discount the job and leave we finally agreed that he needed to finish what he started. Today July 3rd after repeated calls, the same guy who messed up the trees came out to fix only one tree. Heath indicated that he personally would be coming out to supervise the correction. Another No Show. Now the guy was requesting that I pay him or Heath personally and not the company. Sorry but I hired the company. Bottom line the trees look like a neighbor kid would have done them and Not a tree arborist. What a bad choice I made in choosing S & H Tree Dis-Service. read more

My palms were in desperate need of trimming from the years of neglect from the previous owner of the house who never took care of them. Called several Places to get a quote on my 11 palms that i have on my property. Of the 6 i called and 3 that actually showed up in person to see the work i went with S&H. Heath was professional and courteous to my Husband and i and was local to our city. Not only are my palms looking good but they look healthy as i think they should. I was told they would be here today Friday July 19th at 9am. I was called letting me know the team was on the way and they arrived on time. The manager of the crew was a super nice guy and very easy to deal with. They did all I was quoted for and did an excellent job. I contacted S & H for a consultation regarding a neighbor's troublesome African Sumac that was on the vey edge of the shared property line. This tree had not only invaded my air space by 15' but also had a massive root system that had encroached on my side of the property. Given current California laws regarding the trimming trees of and removing root systems of trees not on one's property, I wanted to make sure that I had an expert's opinion before taking any action. I recently had 4 trees trimmed and was very impressed. Two trees are next to electrical lines, and some licensed companies don't want to deal with them. S&H Tree and Arborist did an awesome job on all 4 trees, including those two trees. His crew also was able to identify the types of trees they were, unlike several other companies I've called, and passed on, when they mis-identified the trees.
