The first weekend on June I took my girl in for a cough that has been bothering her for a little bit too long and the process from start to finish was so efficient and more importantly, compassionate and down to earth. The staff here are so so sweet that I had to ask to have everyones names written down so I can give a SHOUT-OUT. First and foremost, thank you to our PA-C who saw us Flo, she had such good energy start and end and was very thorough with the process and does not add anything unnecessary like some providers do to run up the bill (and trust me...we've had our fair share), but gets to the point and I LOVE THAT! The M.A. who helped us Minnie, so sweet and my daughter typically gets uncomfy when triaging, but with Minnie's bright aura, she was at ease! And Dominique! I think that was her favorite person at the end of the visit because she surprised her with the toy she wanted from the toy machine (which is so nice they have that to begin with) from the clinic's trade box as well as some fun sticker sheets too, and like the last two lovely ladies, amazing energy as well. Congrats to Cali Quick Urgent Care for having a great team and I am so glad we have found this place. **Just FYI to parents or other patients, I could hear other parents getting out of the room to ask when they are getting seen, I've waited over 2 hours at another urgent care before so people need to have a little more courtesy and patience as I think there is only 1 provider. My partner was supposed to be referred to another office, but we have been going back and forth for MONTHS because the referral either wasn't sent correctly or wasn't sent at all. We were repeatedly told to wait a week, only to find out the other office still hadn't received what they needed.This should not take months to resolve. To make matters worse, my partner has dealt with Lily throughout this process, and she has been extremely rude and dismissive every time he has spoken with her. I have personally heard the way she speaks to him, and it is incredibly unprofessional. We called again today, and thankfully, whoever answered the phone was the ONLY person throughout this entire experience who deserves 5 stars.She was kind, helpful, and actually gave us all the information we needed so we could figure it out ourselves. After months of being given the runaround, it's ridiculous that we ultimately had to take matters into our own hands. At least someone finally took the time to actually help us. UPDATE: Dr. Lauren Davis personally reached and apologized, she had no clue this was going on. Thank you for the accountability and the apology. We are very relieved to finally be moving forward. Usually, I walk right in to the treatment room after signing in at the front desk. The front desk secretary who checks you in is very pleasant and sweet. Maz, the nurse is really cool and laid-back and makes you feel comfortable and totally makes you feel at ease. Then next comes the provider, PA Richard LICON. He's every provider should be at an urgent care or a doctors office or a hospital. Great bedside manner, knowledgeable, reliable and makes your experience as comfortable as possible. I have been there on the days that PA Richard is not there and it is a severe contrast you will experience to say the least. I believe it is the owner that is there on all of the other days, which is every day, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday to the best of my knowledge. I do not recommend this urgent care. Unless you go on the days that PA Richard is there which is Friday Saturday and Sunday because the provider who is I believe the owner is a condescending, rude, arrogant and overall unpleasant human being and I will never see him again that's for sure. I looked at the reviews and condescending. I think I've seen four times to describe in four different reviews of this urgent care. Thanks to PA Richard. This place is still in business, I'm pretty darn sure. So thank you to everyone there except for the owner/provider who you will unfortunately be seen by if you're there all days except Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile the lobby area is filled they have about 8-10 clipboards untouched and stacked and after 20 minutes of waiting for them to help me while I'm standing their directly in front of them listening about their weekend for them to ask me my name, ID, medical information. Nothing finally they help and I fill out the first form of paperwork because I had been there before. The new girl can't find my name proceeds to have me fill out 3 pages of paperwork and ask for my ID and medical information after 40 minutes of waiting all the paperwork they finally announce to the entire waiting room my medical info + that I can't be seen unless I pay $100 due to my insurance not being accepted. If they had asked me for my info from the get go I would have been in another urgent care getting treated but instead I sat there in agonizing pain for 40 minutes before being told my insurance wasn't accepted. Also I did call prior to going to ensure they accepted my insurance. Instead of gossiping and chit chatting in front of all the people who are waiting for medical care do your job! Considering you signed up to be in the medical field we all could have been helped in a timely manner instead of sitting around waiting for these two women finish their conversations about their weekend plans.

The office moved locations, and the address I had saved was the old one. When I realized the mistake, Google Maps wasn't giving me the correct directions. Instead of being able to call the office directly, I was routed to Hoag Member Services, where I spent 5-10 minutes on hold just trying to get directions. The reminder texts also have no office addresses. I had already driven 40 minutes, arranged childcare early that morning, and was doing everything I could to make it to my appointment. I arrived 18 minutes late and was turned away because the grace period is 15 minutes. Missing an appointment over three minutes after spending so much time simply trying to reach someone for directions was incredibly frustrating. I also called Patient Relations and left a voicemail but never received a call back. Hoag really needs to make it easier for patients to contact their doctor's office directly. I understand the need for office policies, but there also needs to be some common sense and flexibility when the delay is caused by Hoag's own communication system. Again, Dr. Ramsey is wonderful, and I'll continue seeing her. I just hope Hoag improves the patient experience because this was completely avoidable.
