Oh my God. this sub was so bad. I ordered a chicken bomb. Someone decided to add a beef favor to it. I wasn't sure when I took a bite if it was chicken or beef. There was a chicken leg joint in the (yes, bones) inside the sub. Almost chocked on that, chicken was the worst it was pulled chicken, microwaved to heat it up, cause the chicken was so tough that you couldn't even eat it. I threw it away. I gave up after the bones. And whatever else was on that sub has cause me to have the diarrhea for 2 days now. My stomach hurts so much. So, eat here at your own risk. This place should be shut down. They are located next door to the Law Office I work at. I've been there twice for lunch. Menu is large and they serve the usual cold and hot subs ranging from cold cut subs to steak bombs( green peppers,onion, and mushrooms) to triple meat subs. They have the regular veggie toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. They have a variety of cheese toppings as well. They do charge extra for additional toppings like bacon, jalapenos, black olives, wheat bread, etc (only sucky part in my opinion). Great customer service, ac blasting and if you come at 11, the crowd is much smaller. The owners are wonderful and the portions are just so huge, you can share it with 2 people. I love Hoagie bear Subs but I ordered through Postmates for the first time and ordered the chicken bacon ranch but with no bacon. I checked it and the meat looks undercooked and when I tried a piece it tasted like rubber. I'm not sure what happened but it's never like this when I order in person. Hoagie bear makes a great Philly cheese steak! The restaurant is not on my normal travels so I often forget to go there when hungry. Okay, so this place is slowly making it's way back to being in my good graces (based on my back to back check-in). After leaving work in the Keys I continued on US-1 trying to figure out what I'd eat for dinner. Finally arriving home I said a prayer and unrolled my wrapped sub which was still hot, the aroma of the well seasoned sub filling the air. Now for the test. Would it be fresh? Juicy? Seasoned just right? I take a bite and I am surprised! That bite took me back to a time when they were my number 1 sub shop. When no other place could compare. Kind of hard place to find. Its tucked in the corner of a strip mall. From the outside looking in it looks closed. An open sign woukd help. No work hours posted on the door either. Upon walking in the place is packed. So im in for a treat i guess. As im listening to what people order i realize everything is footlong only. Kinda bummed since it being my first time i wanted to try 2 subs. Oh well. I ordered the chicken and steak double play with jerk. Also a chicken bacon ranch. Total price was $30. Yes thirty dollars. Two subs. A bag of chips. A $.99 can of Arizona. Two cakes. The subs were 8ish. So I got charged 14 for two slices of double layer cake. A dollar bag of chips. A can of arizona. That's 99 cents. And a surcharge for potato sticks. They dont even let you know its extra. Ok. Well... On to the subs. The whole wheat bread was soft. Nice change. Somewhat pressed down though so it all overflows. They do pack meat in the sandwhiches. But the bread being how it is doesn't help. Good heat on the jerk. No other seasoning used besides the jerk while cooking. Onions grilled well. I'd give it a B. Chicken bacon ranch was flavorful but cold. Bacon chopped together with the chicken so it loses its crispiness. And the ranch added on the grill makes the sandwhich no longer hot. The cheese wasnt even melted through which killed it. Always melt the cheese. The cakes were stupendous. Oreo and red velvet. Both were moist. Big slices. Flavorful. Best thing here. Worth coming back for it. Now id give it a 3 star rating. Solid subs. Good not great. Meat seems pre-cooked. Pulling out of what seemed to be a fryer. Not hot hot but Somewhat hot. Can tell by cheese not being thoroughly melted. Prices on the higher range of the spectrum. Surcharges for jalapeños, banana peppers and olives. Potato sticks too. Not everyone wears gloves either. The sandwich taste phenomenal every time however this place is the definition of "lacks organizational skills" when you come into this hostile environment for your sammi there's multiple signs telling customers that they can not be in their phones while in the building. It's next to impossible to keep track what sandwich is yours when the employees skip from one sandwich to another indicating a lack of organization or a faulty system... there's an urge to raise your voice so the employees don't run customers over and the workers are fast to blame the customers for any issues at all... it shouldn't be this big of a deal or this stressful to get a sandwich. But after you jump through all of the hoops and get your sandwiching tastes phenomenal! read more

I've ordered two times from Hoagie Bear. The sandwiches (Philly both times) were tasty, but both times my order was incorrect and twice I was charged for extra ingredients that I did not receive on my sandwich. Even calling to confirm the additional ingredients the second time, I paid $3.00 extra both times and did not receive what I had paid for. I used delivery services for both of my orders, which I don't believe is in house (I used Eat24) either way the delivery driver was extremely friendly and service oriented. Will not be eating here again unfortunately, as I do not like paying for that which I do not receive. read more

I had the steak bomb. The wheat bun was a little stale and some of the meat had gristle. My wife had the chicken bomb and it was awesome. They were very friendly and made us feel at home on our first visit. The bombs were very filling and they were priced very reasonably. We ate inside. Usually they are pretty good but lately the service sucks!!!! They have got my order wrong the last few times I have ordered food from there.I'm a single mom and I was on the run so usually I called in my order. The last three times they've messed up my order nobody else's but mine.
