They offer several steak variations that are pretty similar, so I'd recommend asking staff to clarify. I personally liked going double meat especially after a gym session. Well it is hard to say anything more about Super Subs than they are just awesome all around. This family owned establishment has been serving the South Florida community on Bird Road and 64th Avenue for a very long time, roughly 48 years. Are they fancy.... No, Is parking a pain.... Yes, are the staff extremely friendly and helpful.... you better believe it, and are the subs and salads amazing.... ABSOLUTELY!!! I love coming here anytime I am in the area and getting a real sub or one of their great salads. Never disappoint as the portions are excellent and the food is extremely fresh all the time. Their Italian subs are off the charts and I especially like their Egg and Tuna salad as well. Don't want to deal with parking, not a problem if you call ahead they will come and bring your order to the car if you prefer take out. This is a no frills sub shop that provides great value to their customers. Dining area is a little small but hey what a great opportunity to strike up a conversation and make some friends. This will forever be my cheese steak sub craving. My first visit was many years ago when I lived in the area and now that I have moved further I consider this place worth the drive back. An ideal valentine's date would get me this sub instead of flowers. It's a family owned business with the nicest staff, limited parking but if it's full usually you can go in and out quickly with a pick up order. Food here is great portions, always delicious, and the only time I have ever been disappointed is when they close! I do recommend calling ahead if it's close to a holiday break, sometimes they close up shop to celebrate with their families. Within 15 mins we had ordered and left with subs in hand. The subs are huge and filling. Prices aren't bad either, I think the most expensive sandwich is the "five meats" at $14. I've been going here since moving to the Gables back in the summer of 24... discovered it when I wanted to go to Fierro and their entire strip center was being demolished... boy am I glad that happened because I discovered a wonderful Mom n Pop sub shop with the best cheesesteaks in S Miami. Forget the marginal reviews, their cheesesteaks are amazing. They will customize to your specifications, so if you whine about "seasoning" live a little and ask for stuff on your cheesesteak.. like hot cherry peppers, banana peppers, or jalapenos.. or BBQ sauce which they will cook right into the meat on the flat top. As was mentioned, the woman owner who works the register is A DOLL!! Wonderful folks and great subs. Oh, the parking does suck.. so my advice is don't bother with the lot, park on the street next to or behind the strip center. I'm relatively new to the area (purchased my home in 2019) and driven past Super Subs countless times since. I've been curious but never ventured in. I recently received a neighborhood newsletter and Super Subs was featured. I decided to order the Cholesterol killer sandwich for lunch on a day I had no leftovers. The location is small but CLEAN!! Which I instantly noticed as I walked in. Customer service is amazing - the person at the front taking orders was greeting everyone that walked in a friendly manner - this stands out because it's so unusual at most locations. Please read this whole review. This is based off of my expectations before I visited which continues to let me know that people in Miami think the most mediocre things are AMAZING. Did I have an ok sandwich? Sure. Did I have a good cheesesteak? No. Ordered a cheesesteak double meat with grilled onions, American, and provolone. Firstly, this meat is roast beef. Completely unseasoned roast beef. Salt was not in the room. If you are supposed to ask for a cheesesteak to be seasoned then my bad, but I've never experienced that before. Maybe only 2 total slices of cheese. The bread was good for a hot sandwich, but seemed like the bread was a little too cold for the Italian I had a bite of. With that said the Italian was a good bite and I really like the mayo they use. I don't want to dog this place because it's a family run spot that's been here forever. I just want people that might be coming for the cheesesteak to have a better idea of what they will be getting. Small place so seating is limited and by design it's hot in there. Counter service and overall customer service 10/10. If they offered some aus jus and sold a "French dip" with the meat they use I could see it being something I'd want to order again. You would think that the onions, peppers & mushrooms would have added flavour but it was bland, bland, bland.
