Amazing The Food Was On Point My Server Was So Sweet I Been Craving This Place Ever Since 10/10

This place is a great hole-in-the-wall joint that's attached to a gas station! You wouldn't think it by the looks on the outside, but head over to the walk-up counter with the outdoor seating. It's amazing!! The indoor seating can be a little slow and the wait staff aren't very good, but the cooks are phenomenal! We keep getting the cubano (Cuban sandwich to us gringos) and the beef soft tacos. Fresh ingredients with excellent taste! We live in Homestead and have tried everything around here. This is the one consistent spot that'll taste like good Cuban/Mexican food without that chain restaurant cardboard taste. A lot of the other places around here just can't cut it...but if you can look past the service here (or order ahead of time to go), you'll definitely come back for more! If I could, 1-star for the wait staff, 5-star for the outside counter staff, and 6-star for the cooks! I highly recommend it!! read more

The worst experience in dining I've ever had. Went there on a Sunday afternoon only had 4 tables and the service was horrible. A table that was dining there got up to to let us know we could sit anywhere. One waitress doing everything, we should have left like so many others did but we were hungry. Food sucked, sodas tasted like carbonated crap, service was horrible. Please do everyone the favor and close the doors to your establishment and stop pretending that you are a restaurant. Where do I begin? If I could rate it a -10 I would! First time here ok for the quality and price. 2nd time was a disaster waited 45 minutes for cold food and nobody in this "hole in the wall " stupid me let's my husband con me into a 3rd time around let's just say NEVER AGAIN! From the outside you would never stop to eat here because this great restaurant is attached to a Shell gas station. Once inside your met with calming music very up to date furniture a few plasmas and a very inviting bar. The food is great! They have a Latin American menu. The food was excellent along with the service. Very clean and inviting. Definitely recommend. read more

The food is whatever and that would be fine for a quick bite but it takes forever to get served. There is like three people in the kitchen. I think they hired just some random people and all the servers are at the bar talking about who knows what. The concept of a restaurant in the middle of no where and integrated with a gas station is pretty near so I'll give them that but other then that nothing special. Another thing is the hours for the cafe are a bit pit of wack sometimes it's open and sometimes it's not. read more

UPDATE: This place has definitely improved! The food is really good, price is right, and portions are even better. The staff is now curtious. Food is good, but service is slow. First time I've ever ordered food from this restaurant. I ordered the country fried steak. For $10 bucks I got a small piece of steak with some brown gravy (prefer white), plain steamed broccoli and instant mashed potatoes (very salty). No bread of any kind. The meal would have been more fit for a school cafeteria. Typically at most restaurants that charge this kind of pricing, have real mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, texas toast or some type of bread, country white gravy.... . Not impressed. First time eating here. No need to wait to be seated - find you place in the large restaurant the waitress will find you. Since it was lunch time I had a sprite with a steak sandwich and sweet plantains on the side. It's not a fast food joint so you do have to wait a few for your food - not more then 15 minutes. I'm giving it two stars tonight because of the girl's service. But if it would have been because of the food , I wouldn't give any... We come here every now and then ( we live in the area) but tonight is being awful, the prime rib was cold, the black beans also cold and the rice just ok. Also they decided to have only one waitress per night and the girls can't keep up with the tables, we didn't even got to have the bread tonight. We came on Sunday and the rest had like two or three tables occupied and three more completely dirty with all the food left on them. We had to wait for the table to be picked up in order to seat. The girl that night was a little rude, maybe annoyed that she was by herself, when the food was fought we had no silverware and when brought to the table, she told us, we have only forks right now, everything else was dirty because she had no time I guess... My go-to breakfast spot on weekends. Usually fast service but there's only one person working the window in the mornings. I've noticed more people eating here so service has slowed down. No matter, we aren't rushed on weekends. Simple breakfast options done well. There's a tie off for leashes so I am assuming the place is dog friendly as well. read more

Redland / Homestead hidden secret. It's not on the menu, but go in and ask for Walter's NY Strip Steak. The taste is amazing, sometimes we get a bit of a fatty piece, but you won't find another steak in Homestead that can compare. Yes, it's attached to the gas station, but its a hidden gem. I have to go to Homestead about 3x a year, and when I'm there, I go to mango cafe. Well this last time Mango was closed, so I had to find somewhere else to eat lunch, so I tried Redland Grill. Well, I won't be going back. The bathroom was a mess, the waitstaff was unfriendly, the service was slow and the food (I had the dolphin wrap) was mediocre. We live close by and ordered delivery. The food had zero seasoning and was overcooked. Just ordering the food was a mess, the woman was unfriendly and unhelpful. Then, the delivery took twice as long as they stated it would. No one bothered to call and tell us they were running late. Even if the service was excellent, I will never order from here again.
