This store has a good amount of vintage toys, clothes, board games etc... Upon entering we were greeted right away and felt welcomed. My older boys have in the past found great collectible items here. Whenever we do come down to Niles we make sure we stop by this store and buy some things. They sell fake Labubus here. I don't know whether these were authenticated by the owners or if the owners knowingly purchased these from the suppliers but the boxes are reglued and sealed with clear tape. I opened one of the boxes my partner bought and the quality of the plush is awful: cheap plastic, thread coming off the seams, body parts are backwards... We were not given a receipt and now the product is open, we're stuck with these Lafufus. Buyer beware. read more

Talk about a nostalgic trip! Knowing about this from a recent Toy Expo, we stopped by this location not knowing what to expect. It was a exactly what you would expect from those that love toys as much as us. There was so much to see and you had to move items to make sure you didn't miss a thing. There were folks in the store, laughing, hanging out and it made it seem so much more welcoming. There are cases of items as well as items just on shelves and we definitely got lost in time. When it came time to pay - they hooked it up with great prices and we really look forward to coming back to see what else we may have missed. read more

Bald guy with long sideburns, if he is in the store, I wouldn't buy or sell anything to him. This store has 4 owners, and they make decisions based on (sales and purchases) from an emotional standpoint, meaning if they are having an issue with one of their owners and one of them buys a collection or sells something at a discount price, by the next time you come in, your next visit, the owner with the sideburns will Judge you on whatever transaction you did on a prior visit. And if he didn't like what transaction the other owner made with you on your last visit, he will tell you "because you shouldn't have gotten that last deal, I'm not gonna even come close to that on this transaction ". This guy is REALLY weird and emotionally unstable when it comes to deals he doesn't like that HIS coworker made with you. One of the owners (young, tall, slim guy with locks) has left, and I can only imagine why because the bald guy with the sideburns is a prick and his type of emotion doesn't belong in this type of business. He even tried to tell me that I'm not welcome to come back to the store because I called him out on his emotions. Just for one of the other owners to turn around and tell me that the bald guy with the sideburns doesn't have the power to tell me I can't come to the store any longer. So, really, he's in the way of real business . Sickening that these types of people exist, taking up oxygen. The fact that a grown man can have such a petty attitude over collectibles is disturbing. It's like a 50 year old man with the sense of a pouting 15 year old. You'll see when you walk in and the guy just sits hunched back behind the counter. His knowledge of figures is zero. Walked in with my boys and see three guys behind the counter chatting and not a single greeting. Came in because a worker replied to my message saying to come take a look at some figures I was inquiring about and see what else they had. This is the type of place you could easily get lost in and spend hours just wandering through your childhood. So much nostalgia here. I'll be honest, I'm really impressed with how much they're able to squeeze in to this tiny shop, but this place is a must visit anytime I'm in the area. Great place to stop in Niles to check out not only collectible toys & games, but "playable" ones as well. For example, Ninja Turtles are a big deal in my household. We were able to pick up a couple old school turtle toys loose at a fraction of the cost of what the new series, in box toys would be at Target. Toy Trauma is that toy shop back in the day that had everything. It's a little intense when you first walk in but the more you dig the bigger the treasure. A mix of old and new stuff so that Rat Fink fan and designer toy fan both have a cool underground shop to claim as theirs. read more

This store was actually recommended by another customer that I was browsing with at another toy store as there was something specific I was looking for. Sadly I didn't find it here, however, what I did find was another trip down nostalgia lane. This place was well organized and it was also very reasonably priced. Great location and easy to find. Store itself is tiny which is ok. They a lot of toys to look through. We go here once in a while to see if there's any unique collectible toys that show up. My sons likes to go there to check out if there's any new Predator or Alien toys. So far we haven't seen no more than 2 or 3, which we could've bought at Toys r us or EBay. read more

My family has resided in Niles since 1951 , I've seen Toy stores come and go in our little town as well as having a very limited amount of toy store in the area period. I can honestly say that Toy Trauma is my place to stop . It's not just the variety that the owner Mike manages to come across , but it's refreshing to come across genuinely nice people that are not trying to get over on you by over pricing and that doesn't act like their doing you a favor by talking to you.Toy Trauma gives you a warm greeting as soon as you walk through the door. Customer service has always been very important to me knowing the importance of good customer service to make your customers feel welcome , but also to engage suspicious person since I've been in asset protection for years and always look for the engagement of employees or their lack of effort. Toy trauma isn't very big as far as the size of the store ,but the saying big things come in small packages is true here because their small store is busting out of the seems with all kinds of great stuff. The best little toy store around. Jammed packed with toys that will bring you back to your childhood. From old Barbies to the Hulk and beyond and from ceiling to floor. Allow time to browse because it's hard to see it all with a walk thru the store. Michael is very knowledgeable on his toys and super friendly and helpful.
