I came here for the squish-mellows and slime for Christmas presents but found these cool trays for eating/crafts. Upon check-out the clerk (her name was Paige), asked me if I wanted to customize the trays. Whaaatt? Yes please! I appreciate Paige suggesting this as I had no idea this was offered. Not only do the trays look awesome, but how wonderful that Paige offered to do this, even though it was 5-minutes to closing. To the owner of the store, Paige and the other person working stayed an additional 15-'minutes, and did it with a smile on their faces. Im coming back this week to customize more items for the children in my family. This is going to make Christmas gifts easy and special. The products were great and met my expectations, which is the only reason this review isn't lower. Unfortunately, the customer service was incredibly rude and unprofessional. What was most disappointing was witnessing behavior from the service desk that appeared discriminatory and inappropriate. Staff members were criticizing two older women who appeared to be a couple and then seemed to have security guards keep an eye on them for no apparent reason. Watching customers be treated that way was uncomfortable and unacceptable. Good products can only go so far when the customer experience is this poor. I hope management addresses the behavior of their staff and creates a more respectful environment for everyone. read more

I love this toy store! They have so many cool things that you won't find at Target or Walmart! They've got interesting and educational toys, jewelry, crafts, science experiments, and lots of other inventive toys and puzzles. It's also a cool place to register your child for birthday presents. Your child can fill up a tub with things he/she likes and then your guests can come in and buy a gift from the tub. What an awesome idea! Best part... They gift wrap for free!!! read more

"Man alive I want to be a kid again!" I had no idea what to expect when I walked into this store, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's much larger than I thought, and is jam-packed with every kind of toy you could possibly imagine. Toys for boys, toys for girls, and toys for big boys who never quite grew up. There is one long wall display of all kinds of active games like Slime ball and Rocket Games and things like that. Awesome slime ball really brings back the memories. Do you remember the Battling Robots? They have a toy set called Rock'em sock'em robots. I'm pretty sure that's the original game. I think it used to be made by Wham-O. They have a section towards the back just called science. This is where you can teach your kids about biology, physics, forensic science, or even gardening. Next to the science section is the build section. Perhaps this is my favorite section in the whole store. You can build cars, Treasure boxes airplanes, log cabins, whatever you want. Really interesting selection of creative toys. I noticed that today they are running a $30 off discount on some of the more expensive Build toys. Don't forget to look at the Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. The employees were nice enough to take out a demo for me and show me how it works. It actually glows with sparkles in the dark. It's called Thinking Putty, because your kid will become a genius after you use it. They will even become smarter than you! Just in case your kids need more sugar, they have a nice selection of candy in the candy shop. All kinds of nutritious things like strawberry laces, Harry Potter jelly beans, all kinds of sugary sweets. Your kids will love you for buying them these things. And maybe they will be really calm after they have some of these? After you fill your kids up with sugar, they will be ready for the really fun pillows called squashhmallows. They come in three different sizes all four media to little tiny squashmallows. I suspect that you could probably get her a better price at Walmart or Target, but this is a much more calm place to shop. So it's probably a good option if you don't want to fight any crowds. So all in all a fun store to visit and walk around, and see what kind of new games they have. Or you can buy one of the original Rock'em sock'em robots. read more

We've loved this local toy shop since they opened. But we're especially appreciating having them nearby during Covid times! They've done a wonderful job making their ship as safe as possible: barrier at the door to stop costumers and have them sanitize/mask check/hear rules before shopping, multiple bins in easy reach for kids to place things they touched, shared sample toys put away, and plexiglass barrier at register. They're also limiting number of people in the store and offer appointments if you don't want to have to wait. The selection here is also a great combination of purely fun items and educational activities/books/puzzles/board games. We've enjoyed a number of their outdoor activities, and most recently, bought 2 African Dwarf frogs here as a first, low maintenance pet. read more

My daughter bought a collection of squishy, slime, slinky and other fidget toys. A couple of the squishy toys have broken open and filler inside is spilling. My daughter only owned the squishy for less than 24 hours. She did not try to do anything out of the ordinary other than gently squeezing them as intended. One had a hole after her first playing session and the second one experience a similar problem after the second playing session. The slime seems OK, but, the quantity did not seem that much. Like for the equivalent amount of money we could've bought a kit elsewhere and made 5 times as much slime of similar quality. I felt like the slinky they sold us should've partially been made of out some precious metal for the price it costs. Again, we could've gotten something better for less elsewhere. The toys are very expensive and quality is questionable. Although some of the squishy toys have broken, I'm not certain I want spend the time and gas to drive over there for a return or exchange. I'm going to sound harsh but I don't feel ripped off and scammed. If your children get brainwashed by social media to give this location keep in mind many of those reviews are paid for. read more

The website is a bit clunky but it works. I put in my order, was called an hour later to give my credit card info and asked if I needed gift wrapping. I was buying workbooks for my six year old to prevent summer slide, she would not have been happy getting this as a gift. I bought enough to have free delivery but I wanted OUT OF MY HOUSE so I drove there. I called the number posted outside, popped my trunk, and a masked employee delivered the goods. Would give zero stars, if I could. Husband drops a lot of money here for our kids gifts, etc. Had to pick up a birthday party gift this morning and he suggested I come here since he's always raving about this place. Walked in and not one person greeted me or asked if I needed help. The guy working there- I am assuming the manager looked at me several times but said nothing. Neither did any of the girls- the only person who seemed nice was Rachel who wrapped my gifts. Guess when the manager lacks being a good example, why would he train the girls working there any different. I have 3 kids and we are always going to birthdays and buying lots of gifts. So not only will I happily go spend my money elsewhere- I also told my husband to stop shopping here as well. I love supporting small businesses- just read my reviews. However, I will not support a business who lacks common courtesy and so blatantly rude. If I had more time this morning, I would've left the things I was buying and gone to Target. I love coming to this store to grab a quick fidget toy. They have a huge selection of fidgets from small little pea poppers to big pop-it's. The staff are always nice and super helpful. We were in need of some basic toys for a Piaget Kit. They had what we needed, and wow their inventory is expansive - they have quite a lot of toys! It also seems like they have some sort of birthday boxes, as in the back there are a lot of pre planned "toy registery" bins with names on them. I enjoyed their lava lamps and how there are toys for many ages of kids here. Prices seem reasonable, and a little of an extra premium is worth their assistance and selection available. read more

It's located in a small shopping center thingy and thus the parking is practically unlimited, The gym next door can hog up the right up front parking, but no worries there will always be spaces available. This is a small to medium size store and it won't take too long to run through the whole thing. It is logically separated by developmental ability with all age specific items in the same section, so that's handy. There is also a strong focus on educational toys. You will not find one thousand barbie dolls here, but they will have a small selection of american girl dolls, and can order anything they don't have in stock. Pricing ranges from 3-5 dollars for smaller items all the way up to several hundred for large construction sets/remote control aircraft. Good place to shop for more thoughtful/better quality toys. read more

We find the toy selection to be excellent at this store and the toys are up to date and trendy with kids of all ages. Prices are very comparable to Target, Toys R Us and sometimes Amazon. They have great sales on Melissa & Doug also. This store provides free gift wrap and personalization too! Be sure to sign up for their emails for coupons. Today I received $7 off of $35. The have Lego products including Star Wars. duplo, advent Calendars, Minecraft, super hero's, juniors, Disney and Lego Friends. On event days the store can be packed but fun of vendors and crafts. Came here looking for educational toys for my niece and nephews and they did not disappoint! I felt like a kid in here again and spent longer than expected looking at the variety of toys and gadgets they had. Went up and was asked if I had been there before (first timer!) and was given their small catalog in which had a coupon that she used so I got $7 off! Now that wasn't the icing on the cake...they also do COMPLIMENTARY GIFT WRAPPING!!!! Now I can go home and not have to worry about wrapping the gifts. My son got a gift card this Xmas and he really wanted to get a marble maze. We went into the store and he liked a maze that was pricey. I was not sure because of the price since I had not compared prices elsewhere but we ended up buying it because the helper assured me that I could return it with original packing if I wanted to. We did find the maze cheaper elsewhere, so I went to return the unopened box with the original receipt. The lady behind the counter (seemed she was the owner) asked me the reason for return and I said I found a better price elsewhere. She remarked back while issuing the return - "Well! I hope they gift wrap too!" How ridiculous! I had not had this maze gift wrapped when I bought it and only took it because I was told they had a no-hassle return policy. They lost a very loyal customer with that remark - I did a lot of Xmas shopping from here. The 2 stars are only because of the past experience with them. Used to really like this store. read more

Shopping at big box stores can be a frustrating experience. While prices may be lower, quality is also low. Buying a toy based on price is a waste of time if the toy falls apart or a child gets bored with the toy almost immediately. I know I'm in trouble when the kids give me the obligatory thank you and kiss after opening their gifts. LET allows a discerning aunt to thoughtfully shop for toys that are educational, develop fine motor skills and/or improve problem solving proficiency. For the kids, the toys are just plain fun. With young nephews and a niece, I see many years of toy shopping here. read more

It saddens me to have to write this review as there are not many toy stores around these days. A few weeks ago my children bought two very different items, similar to items they bought the week before. My daughter bought slime which of course was sealed, same brand and product but when she opened it, it was not slime but butter. She would never have know this because there are no samples in the store and it doesnt say so on the packaging. She did not play with the product and took it back to exchange for what she thought she was buying. Since it was opened even though she did not play with it- she could not return it. Ok I could accept this although I thought it was an unfair response for $15 SLIME . My son, however, bought a pretty expensive box of pokemon cards. When he opened the box it was obvious that it was opened previously. The cards were bent and not of collectible quality. The cards were immediately placed back into the box and sat in the car until we were able to return. We explained the situation to the worker who didnt see the big deal. For those who are collectors of cards- you know if the cards are damaged the value is not there. Also when she counted the cards 3 were missing. I suppose it probably said that somewhere on the box- but a 12 year old would never know this. He didnt count or play with the cards. We already said that what was damaged and used- but the manager argued with us and refused to return sending us back to Pokemon. I was never so disappointed in the way something was handled. Lesson learned for my children for sure. And lesson to me, never assume that a store will think of the customer first. Take responsibility for the products that you sell and always take care of the customer. We will never go back there. read more

This store is wonderful - one of my favorite stores in Sam Ramon. They are our go-to for kid's birthday presents and holiday shopping. They have been out in front of the whole rainbow loom phenomenon and offer a great selection of supplies and classes. I do wish they carried a larger Lego selection but we have a Lego store nearby so that will do. Overall I have been very happy with this store and their staff. Will definitely be back!! read more

I go out of my way to come here. I could get toys at Target or Walmart but I like the mom and pop feel of this place. They have a good selection of Melissa and Doug, Legos, learning toys, sports toys and even those European animal action figures I loved as a kid but my dad would never buy for me. They wrap your gifts and even allow you to pick out a cubby to "suggest" gifts for your little one. I showed up about 40 minutes before opening for a last minute gift and the store was closed. As I was driving away the owner arrived and opened up early for me. 10 minutes later I had a wrapped gift. That's more than I would expect these days. They also have regular sales that they advise you of via email. They do not go crazy with the emails either. This is one store that I have not had to cancel my email from their mailing list. Took my kid here to get some Rainbow Loom refill bands. Honestly, the employees seemed lost and customers annoyed - very weird vibe going on here (in a TOY store?!) Very cute store. We buy all our toys and kid gifts here to support them instead of Toys r Us. They have a cool hands-on gift registry for kids.... Just let them run through the store and grab what they want, and put into a bin. That is their registry! Also sign up for their VIP club so you will get a punch card. Ask them how it works. I think they record all your pretax dollars spent there, and when you fill it up, you get a certain amount back as store credit. Free gift wrapping here too!!! Unique, interesting, and playful toys. Not the typical "girl aisle" and "boy aisle" selections that you might find at a big chain. Not the hyper-expensive, boring but eco-friendly toys I have seen at specialty stores on the peninsula. These are things kids really LIKE! Many of the toys are educational, and they are also fun. My child loves to go there just to play with everything on display. The staff have always been nice, and I like the birthday box possibility. Tip: even if your child is going to someone else's birthday, you could look through one of the boxes to get ideas of things selected by another child that age. I guess I'll subtract one star for the price, but if "cheap" in the sense of generic/plastic/chintz is what you want, they don't have it here anyway! read more

I liked this store but will not be shopping here again. I spent $350 over three trips. Last weekend when I was in I purchased a CD that could be personalized with my son's name. The clerk said that she was sure his name was a part of the list even though it's unique because her son's name was. I wish she told me that we could have checked before purchasing. While there a bought a $80 toy in addition to the $9.95 CD. Took it all home and later found out that we couldn't personalize it with his name. I had thrown out the receipt not thinking that I should have checked first. Went to return it one week later and they would only issue a store credit. Too bad they lost a good customer for $10. read more
