This store has amazing things for crafts as well as the home. However, they are notorious for extremely long check out lines. There are usually a lot of employees in the store, yet one person at the check outs. That is very frustrating and gives cause for me to shop elsewhere. read more

I never new Hobby Lobby has so much merchandise to take in. We came here looking for a particular present for my niece 10th birthday party. The employees went above customer service in helping us find something at the last minute. We came across a Manga Artist Coloring Book: Girl Power that stood out from everything else. I was really impressed with this Hobby Lobby locations. From the outside, they don't look as big as the one in Hoover, but man do they pack stuff into this store. Aisles were full of everything ... um, well hobby related. If you're looking to start amateur fake floor arrangements ... and/or needing to get ready for the upcoming season (in this case fall) they have you set up as far as what you need to make that happen. In addition to that they have a pretty large area dedicated to fabric, so you can be making your own custom specialty clothes and such. Large selection of decorative home goods geared towards the kitchen, dining room, living room, etc. Also, they have a large selection of candles, stuff for DIY projects (models, painting, knobs and pulls, cricket ... the list goes on and on). They also have a large space dedicated to home decor that is for the upcoming season/holidays. It is now late July and they have a large assortment of fall/Thanksgiving/Christmas stuff starting to make it's way onto the shelves. Pay attention and shop the sales. If the item you want isn't currently on sale, they will probably be putting it on sale in the near future. Typically sales are min 20% and upwards of 50% off. read more

I guess that I'm now convinced that these craft stores just don't have enough cashiers to handle their stores. It doesn't matter which hobby lobby location, even out of state, all of them have literally have 1 cashier and their line could be 10 people deep. For this specific location, I've visited twice. The last time was a year ago and I had the same experience. The store is well stocked and prices are very reasonable. I spent less than 10 minutes looking for the item I had found online. An employee walking around the store guided me in the direction. I went to check out, 1 customer had 2 carts full of things, easily 100 items. 2 cashiers were working together to ring her up. 2 more customers were in line and myself following. We spent 20 minutes in line. Overall, I've decided that I will spend more money and just shop at Amazon for my craft needs to avoid the ridiculousness of craft stores. read more

Y'all. I was literally just profiled at Hobby Lobby in Trussville. I have never seen a greater instance of blatant disrespect in my life. I am livid right now!!! Like to the point of shaking. Jenny Johnson and her team could have found someone else to follow around the store! Then the other "assistant manager" literally walks to the window to see where I was going. When I asked her name she asked me why would I need her name. Never in my life have u been treated like that. I was WISHING they actually said something to me. Now I have to go SPEND my hard earned money with Michaels Stores because I will NOT BE treated that way. Don't let the workout clothes fool you, I'm a working, SUCCESSFUL professional. This was my first time coming to this location. They have great parking there, isn't a shortage for that. When I went inside the store, cashiers are smiling. There is a stand showing me how I can save 40% off an item. If your not too familiar with this store you can get very overwhelmed. They have a lot of beautiful stuff in this store. I was walking around for almost 5 minutes before I wanted to give up and just order the stuff I need online. I saw an employee and she asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for. Not only did she tell me what aisle I needed to go to. She walked me directly down the aisle. Showed me what I was looking for. She explained to me that the 40% coupon didn't apply to certain items. She went above and beyond. I would definitely visit this location again. 50% off my paper was great, I spent over $60 bucks in the store just like that lol read more

I am a crafter ,so I am in love with hobby lobby, this one here in Trussville is to me the best one around, the staff is always nice , and I always with out a doubt find everything and more of what I need. I have just spent hours in here just listing to the music while I was shopping and getting different ideas on things for my home.
