Pretty average Hobby Lobby. Our daughter wanted blank Christmas ornaments to decorate and we found them here... 50% off! The negatives: they had a sign that said 40% off cake stuff. I found a small jar of meringue powder in the cake decorating section, brand was listed but apparently that item was NOT included in the sale. Lucky me. Not to be confused with Hobby Lobe, which is when your fave thing is caressing (or collecting) earlobes. Each to their own (their own earlobes?). It's a good location of Hobby Lobby in terms of getting what you need. It's a bad location in terms of the playing of lots of Christian music and having broken carts and indifferent service as others have said. The whole company are hyper-religious bad apples, but then a quarter of the country is (not half, not at all). read more

Four stars? From a guy? Please keep reading. When my wife asks me to go to HL with her, I normally roll my eyes. Because of this, she normally doesn't ask me to tag along. She loves this place. My wife is very crafty. She can make various things for our home from various odds and ends she finds at HL. For instance, every wreath that is on our front door is made by my wife by things she has purchased at HL. My wife would definitely give them 5-stars. From a guys perspective, I give them four stars. Look at my photos. If you are trying to find things for your man cave or signs for your garage, this is a good place to look. If you are into woodworking or if you are upgrading older pieces of furniture with a new look and need some cabinet knobs that are unique, this is a great place to shop. In addition, they have parts for model rockets, plastic car models, electric train layouts, and pinewood derby parts. I say these things because if you have a young children, please get them interested in some of these things at an early age. All of them will help get them out from in front of the TV playing video games. More importantly, some of it requires you to spend time with your kids which is really what the kids want from you. They want your time. So quit reading this review, get off Yelp and other social media, go to Hobby Lobby and get one of these items, and spend some time with your kid building or creating something. If you can do that, you'll see why a guy can give HL an easy 4-stars. Just make sure you don't try to go on Sunday because they are closed. Bottom line - Great place for crafts, home decor and man cave decorations. Also a great place to buy things to do with your kids that don't involve a TV. I recommend this this store for those reasons. They are closed on Sunday. read more

I always enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby. I was still in a search for some grosgrain ribbon and found just what I was looking for. They had a great selection of fabrics and ribbon that I originally came for! Regina was working very hard at the fabric counter. She even helped me find a lining fabric I was looking for. She was really hustling to keep up with the line of customers waiting to get fabric cut. There were several other HL employees in the area, milling around maybe stocking items but it would have been great if they took the initiative to clear off the other cutting table that had a few bolts of fabric on it and helped to get the line of 3-4 people waiting. When I had walked into the store there was a huge line of people waiting to check out. Luckily by the time I was ready, it was down to a few. It just seemed like there were plenty of employees to assist in both cutting fabric and checking out that perhaps the store manager could better allocate them instead of stocking, which can be done during slow times. Overall, I had a good experience and found what I needed. read more

Why oh why do i continue to come to Hobby Lobby? Every time I think this time will be different, they will listen to reviewers, but it never happens. Again I had to try out four different carts before I found one whose wheels turned. The one I chose had a basket that was barely hanging on. And again the hairballs on the wheels is truly disgusting. Come on. Use some of the dang money you spend on smuggling ancient artifacts from other countries to upgrade your store. I spent over an hour picking out decorations but waited in a line that never moved for a half hour so I had to bail. And PS playing Christian music is off-putting when you know your background. The manager Angela is rude and unprofessional. As she was price checking an item for me she was talking bad about customers who just left to another employee. then when I asked questions about the sale going on she explained very rudely treating me like I was dumb because their sale displays include items that aren't on sale. My dad wanted a Texas flag to hang out on his front porch (he lives in Kansas, but has Texas roots), but not just any flag....it needed to be on a stick and be a certain smaller size. I looked....and looked.....and looked for that flag. I knew places in Houston had them, but we had just gotten home from a 12 hour drive home from Kansas, so more driving didn't really sound appealing (although, for my dad, I would have!). So we were about to give up and just drive into Houston and decided to give this place a try for giggles and YES! They had the perfect flag and only $3.99! I'm happy, my dad will be happy so that's a lot of happy that was tied up in one little Texas flag on a stick! read more

I just went to this Hobby Lobby for the last time and that makes me a little sad because they had a good scrapbooking selection and it is easier for me to get to than the one farther north on the freeway. Over time, the employees here have gotten less friendly. That's okay, I can still get and pay for what I want but today I needed something specific and had to ask three different employees and each one seemed put out to have to answer me. The third man did go get it for me so for that one star. At least fifteen carts were waiting to check out with only two lanes open and one of those lanes was dealing with returns/exchanges therefore taking more time. I waited 26 minutes to check out. After 18 minutes someone opened another lane. My cashier did not say one word to me the entire time and I had a cart full of stuff. Again, I don't need you to love on me, but a "hello", or "how or you?" is just good customer service. It would be nice if the prices of their products were scanned in, I think that would make the line go faster, but the checkout people have no other choice but to key every single thing in and then consult the binder about what is on sale and for how much. You will have to let them know if something is for sale because it won't ring up that way. i haven't been to the other local one since this one opened but I hope they are still friendly and efficient over there. Lots of good stuff here wether you've got a hobby or would just like to decorate your house, Man Cave, or Garage. They have just about anything you need. I do think they could have a little more in the model train department! It's lacking a little. There is some stuff here in N gauge and H-O gauge. But not quite what a model railroad hobbyists needs. It would be nice to have a selection of track and scenery to help a guy out without having to make a trek into Rice Village in Houston or the west side in Bellaire! read more

Ok so it is Hobby Lobby and you know what to expect. This one has a good staff and is well stocked with all your hobby supplies. It is easy to get to and there are a lot of other good stores near by. The prices at hobby lobby are good. The selection is very large(almost too much stuff to take in at once). I love Hobby Lobby. It's one of my favorite things to do on the weekend. The staff is usually very helpful and friendly. The other day I received help from a younger lady with long brown hair. I asked her about some stickers I saw on the website. Though I am a little older she proceeded to speak loudly like I couldn't hear her in small sentences (as if I was a child). Hard to get help in the store. I went to the registers and said I needed help at the craft paint. Nobody came. 20 minutes later I called the store and complained. They said most help doesn't get her till after one. That sucks. Now two registers with each having 8 people in their line. read more

Yet again I have been treated poorly at this location. I love Hobby Lobby, but you need to get your system fixed and employees trained here. I stood in line on multiple occasions now only to be told that their system wasn't scanning the coupon code because I was using the Hobby Lobby app. That makes absolutely no sense. Now today I stand in line for 10 minutes only to have the checker let someone cut in front of me from another line (as I'm unloading my basket mind you) because he didn't see me. I'm 6 foot tall. Very hard to miss. I said "I've been standing here the whole time." He said "Well I already told her she could come." Ridiculous. Next time I'll consider going to Michael's. read more
