The store is always very organized and clean. This is good place to find unique gifts as well. You find more things on their website. Every time I visits they always have sales. I had 12 pails (4 blue, 4 pink, 4 white) . At the register the cashier noticed that some were $1.49 and some $1.99. One in each color was $1.99 but all were the same dice shape and style. The cashier called the manager and she first said due to different colors are priced differently. When I attempted to explain each color has the differing price tags, she then blamed it on tariffs. Fraudulent. They should not have stacked them together. She refused to ring up the 4 that had the higher price for the price if the majority. I opted to void my purchase. Hobby Lobby is awesome! I have been shopping here for years and they always have great deals, amazing sales and lots of choices for each hobby you are into. Huge selection of seasonal décor and obscure hobby tools and accessories. Their sales are almost too good though, because there are plenty of times when I would randomly go to Hobby Lobby, see something I want to get but because its not on sale I would just wait for the 40% or 50% off they constantly do. The employees have always known where I can find what I am looking for, and I have some very odd requests sometimes, or at least can point me in the right direction. The only problem with Hobby Lobby is their check out lines. They manually type out the costs and discounts, so things can get missed. Always check your receipts! I enjoy stopping in to this location because I know where everything is. I frequent this location for my coin collection cases and or packets that I need. Everything in here I say would be a dream for anyone getting into some type of craft and or trying to tighten up the way your collection is. I mean if you do something on the side as far as decor and or putting a little flare on your projects. Then this is your place. I mean you cant beat the deals that they have. Recent visit to find craft jewelry/ leather accessories. Huge building with just about anything you need. Home style goodies, crafts, decorations,art supplies all you can build or complete to take home today items and much more. Well organized, department areas. I found the craft supplies yet the selection was above my expectations and Customer service was great! I was led to the items I needed, before you know it I'm quickly through the check out with ease. That was amazing due to the size of business I expected delays but Not today, although with the amount of cashiers and shear size I can see their prepared for the crowds especially a Great place to shop for the holidays. This Hobby lobby is a rather large location. Hobby lobby is a place you can walk in and wander around for over an hour and not buy anything. At least that is what my wife does. She is definitely more a fan than I am. They do have some cool stuff though. Prices are hit and miss. This location needs to do a better job of not having clutter in there aisle ways. read more

Like most Christian-owned companies run with their Christian values in mind it is chock full of crap made by slaves in China. What one would expect. We can't tacky up our homes and the lives of others without this stuff. I only come here because sometimes I'm too lazy to go to Bardstown Road and it is always a mistake because they don't have a good selection of origami paper. I do miniature origami and other paper craft and they have some, but not all, the supplies I need. This is a well organized, clean and we'll run Hobby Lobby. All the employees have always been polite and have always been able to answer any questions I might have. Such as, where is a particular item located. When I've ordered items from here I've always gotten the phone call when the item came in for me to pick up. Also,, in the heat of the summer the AC is always going strong which makes it enjoyable for the shopping experience. The parking lot is large while easy to get in and out as well. read more

I've found some neat stuff here. A string art kit that was a Christmas gift. Crafts when I'm feeling crafty. I've even had a painting framed (and it was done in about 30 minutes). I wish all the craft stuff was in the same area though. The scrapbooking stuff is on one side while the embroidery stuff is clear across the store. I don't really browse Hobby Lobby. I pretty much have an idea of what I want and try to get in and out. The layout kind of prevents that. However, the staff is always friendly and willing to answer questions - which goes far in my book. read more

This place has everything! It's not just an arts and crafts supply store- they have everything from wall decor to furniture. So many cool design specific items for themed rooms such as Nautical, French Country-Side, Paris, London and many more. I am a bit obsessed with Eiffel Towers and I have found plenty at Hobby Lobby. On my most recent visit, I needed 16 x 20 black frames with white matte. Even though they didn't have the specific ones I needed in stock, they were able to custom make them for me within an hour or two. My only issue is some things a over-priced. In the Okolona or central Louisville area, this is THE place to go for practically any hobby or craft you can think of. This is a chain, so if you've experienced one, you've experienced them all, in a sense. Greenery, floral, framing, painting, models, fabric, woodworking, posters, scrap booking are just a few that stand out. What is surprising is the large, large, LARGE amount of home decor items in this store.... all nearly arranged in styles, colors and categories... very well organized. Today I made a trip to the place that never fails to put a crafty, DIY idea in my head, Hobby Lobby. How could you not be inspired by this place. Aisle after aisle of arts, crafts, home decor material. It sucks you in as soon as you go through the door. It's hard decide what to look at first. That's why I try to go in with a plan, and the reason for my trip today was to scope out fabric choices for a DIY tufted headboard I've been dying to make. I'm a crafty girl with big dreams and HGTV says anyone can do it! I walked in and headed straight to the fabric section. There were about five aisles browse with materials of different styles, colors and textures. I found two that really grabbed me, but I couldn't make my decision on the spot. I'm a little indecisive when it comes to stuff like this. I've found many uses for Hobby Lobby fabrics in the past. Skirts, jackets, covers for journals I gave as Christmas gifts one year. I took a sewing class back in high school, and every now and then I break out the machine to test my skills. What's great about Hobby Lobby is that something is always 50 percent off. You just have to watch the ad in the paper to know what it's going to be. I had time for a quick loop around the store and mirrors, wall clocks and frames were on sale. I saw some gorgeous mirrors that would great in my house! For me, a trip to Hobby Lobby is never a wasted trip, even when I leave empty handed. read more

I really want to like this place... but my last four trips have been full of avoidable issues and not much of an apology by the staff. The store has a lot to offer, prices range from very good to very expensive. There's a little bit for all your decorating and craft making needs. But, so many many issues every time! Here's a few examples: - tried to return an unused art supply. It took 30 minutes and I even had the receipt. They said they couldn't find a record of the purchase.... - ordered a custom frame for a print. After many weeks, no one called to tell me it was done. So I just stopped in to check. It was in....but....they put it in the wrong frame. Here's to waiting another 3 weeks. - went to purchase a pre-made photo frame that was next to a sign that said "all photo frames 50% off". You'd think that would be "all"... nope. And only this response to my question about the price being 50% off..... "no". I really want to like you Hobby Lobby, but you make it so difficult. read more

I prefer to find local craft shops and avoid Hobby lobby, but I was in need of specific colors of floss for cross stitching and some hoops. The local shop near me, I had been told, would not have what I was looking for. As far as selection goes, Hobby Lobby has the widest selection so that is where I had to go.
