Months of looking and then Anna showed me an ecletic table which I didn't notice, then the piece de resistance, a perfect chair too. Can't wait to get this table home, the seat of the chair is going to be recovered with a terrific material from England covered with adorable cows. And the Polish Pottery line has been expanded with various designs.

It took over the space vacated by the now bankrupt Steinmart. There is nothing fancy about this spot. It very much feels like a dumping site for furniture and is organized by type/room. It is a land of rejected, broken pieces. The signage attempts to excite you - 50% off or more - but then you flip the tag to find out it is still outrageously overpriced on top of being broken. The facility is large, and most workers were either at the front desk or helping people wedge items into their trucks. I appreciated watching the quiet nature of the staff today as a customer carried on a conversation with the customer service team via her cell phone. She was a lot to handle and you could tell they didn't want to escalate the situation. Apparently this spot has a following. Bring a large pocketbook ... and duct tape.

The surface of my dresser is stained from a liquid ring from a rock lamp that started to sweat. Stains and liquid rings are covered, but since my damage was so severe, it's no longer covered and they use every loophole not to replace the furniture. They want quick fixes only, not replacement. This warranty is a waste of money for the cheaply made furniture this place provides. Waste of money.

It strikes a good balance of having plenty to look at, but not becoming overwhelming. The items for Thanksgiving and Christmas were nicely included in the shop's current offerings and matched the rest of the decor perfectly. It sounds simple but I think stores that can do this really understand who they are, and have an eye to make it happen. In the back of the store is a small workshop. They will soon be decorating trays, teaching how to apply transfers and stamping holiday bags. If you enjoy these opportunities for creativity, follow their social media pages for updates. The coolest item that caught our eye was a vinyl rug. You can select from a variety of designs and it's easy to mop clean. We're intrigued - it would be great for our foyer where muddy shoes come through.

The minute I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly employee. She asked how she could help and I told her what my pricepoint was and that I was open to anything. She told me all the Christmas merchandise was 25% off. They have some really cute Christmas stuff (home decor, pajamas, etc.) I told her I wasn't picky. She asked me if I liked Volcano candles? I said YES. They had the three holiday candles to choose from. The green sparkle candle is alpine pine, the gold sparkly candle in pumpkin, and the red sparkle is the original Volcano scent. I love the original and red is my favorite color, so I was sold! With tax it came to $27. I have paid $40 for a Volcano candle at other local shops. This was a steal, and they had it gift wrapped and waiting for me at the checkout while I browsed around! Seriously wonderful customer service. I should note, this was not my first visit. My first visit I was exchanging a charm my friend got for my when my dog passed away. The staff was so encouraging and sympathetic that day. I just can't say enough about how great the service is! Oh, and they have an awesome selection of baby items. I was checking out the Jellycat stuffed animals and the Mudpie onesies. Good prices on those and great selection. Their inventory is always changing so if you don't see anything that catches your eye the first time you go, try again in a couple weeks.
