I love hobby lobby in Burbank and Palmdale. I was near the Santa Clarita store and decided to go. I had never experienced so many rude employees and customers. I kept getting disgusting looks by employees. The fabric lady and store manager made a rude comment about my toddler. read more

On a Saturday afternoon, Hobby lobby was super busy. They had a lot of product although I wish they had more Christmas items. Most of it was on sale 50% off. Service was good. I highly recommend you going to Hobby lobby if you're looking for a holiday items, whether there be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc... Most of the time holiday items are at a discount. Parking is good just have to park further back. Wherever you park, is still not a far distance. Pictures soon to come. read more

I've been here when it's busy and when it's slow, to purchase things just about all the registered will be open to get the lines down as fast as they can. However you'll be waiting for about ten or more minutes if you need to return/exchange something as they only have one register for just that. I got stuck in line behind 2-3 people which I thought wasn't bad until the lady at counter had a whole cart of things she wanted to exchange with multiple receipts so it took longer than expected. Finally a normal register opened and she started to help take down the line as it was going through the home decor. I suggest to not return something in the middle of the day on a weekday. However if you're a crafter this place is for you. If you love the holidays they have rows and rows of it. And If you wanna add some new home decor to your house the whole front of the store is dedicated to just that. They have a little something for everyone here to find and take home and the prices are reasonable. Just note you can shop here everyday except Sundays, they are closed. read more

Doubtful anyone will read these reviews, let alone do anything about it. But the management in this store has got to be the biggest joke. I went in yesterday to buy a Christmas tree. The cashier called it in through their intercom. We literally waited 25 minutes for them to bring it out because the cashier asked another associate to get it for us. And she immediately went to the back to get it. Now back to their management. They had three, yes THREE supervisors or whatever you want to call these women literally just standing there and chatting up like it was tea time chat. Not one approached us asking what we were waiting for or checking on why it's taking so long to get a tree from the back. Or I don't know take initiative to do that or maybe get it yourself. They were all able bodies that could have done it. But I'm sure it was below them and expected their subordinates to do their hard work. It's called initiative and they obviously don't have the brainpower to properly utilize it. The girl that eventually got our tree was friendly. Those women who are so called managers or bots should be reconsidered as "management." Because honestly, it's a joke to even be called that when you can't even help. Do better Hobby Lobby and actually hire intelligent people to run your store. read more

I got in line to check out. The girl said no, I needed to go in the other line and wait to be called. There was only one line for multiple registers she said. So I moved to that line. Then when I got to the front, the register in front of me put up a sign that said "closed" - and in the original line she was suddenly taking people that just walked up to her. So I walked over and asked why she wasn't calling me, she never even looked at my face to acknowledge I was talking to her. And the customers just smiled because they knew they cut in front and nobody cared. So I didn't care either and I left my merchandise and walked out. What a place. Never again. read more

Just didn't feel welcomed. The employees seemed so annoyed with my 2 year old (typical toddler that wants to touch things.) People standing at the door didn't say hello or goodbye. Checkout took forever because the cashier was just staring at my daughter. We had already put our 3 items on the counter to scan. I stood in line that was about 15 people deep to be rung up and then told that they do not take tapping of cards as a form of payment. Which is completely fine. I told the lady at the cash register named Charli to please hold my items until I come back. She canceled my transaction to take the next person which again is completely understandable. I came back within two minutes with my credit card to be told that I have to stand in the long line again from the beginning. Again, she could be following protocol. I'm not really sure, but there was no signs that said that they don't accept any type of tapping transaction. So I asked the manager Payton, why they would not allow me to just pay for my items since they were already in a shopping bag at the cash register and I already did my time in the 15 person line, she double down that supposedly there was signage at the window stating what kind of credit cards they take. She had me stand in line again, instead of trying to make the situation better. I quietly stood in line again, and as I was passing the window to see what sign she was referring to there was nothing on the window. I came back to just informed her that she basically lied to my face where then Payton agreed that there was nothing on the window, but that there was a form of credit cards that they take noted on the window. And she realized she got caught in. Her lie is when she came back in her words. I feel as a customer I should be able to have her hold my stuff while I quickly grab my card and come back. In the meantime, she can definitely take more people. But I feel that allowing me to pay when I do get back is common courtesy. Even the person that they allowed in front of me while I was asking if I can pay told Charli the cashier that I could go ahead of her because it was fair. But Charli the cashier still insisted that I go in the back of the line again even though I've already done that. Kindness in common courtesy, go along way with customers, and I think that they should consider those when dealing with their every day customers. It has plenty of decoration for families and peeps who have a few years left. Furniture and stuff to put in walls mainly. It is vibrant and the music is classical. BEWARE of this location if you are black or person of color it is a RACIST LOCATION. You may be followed around the store and PROFILED. I use to enjoy shopping here all the time. As someone who enjoys arts and crafts I would frequently shop here for years. I always properly payed for the items I got. One day I came in to look around. I was followed around the store multiple times and felt very uncomfortable. Eventually, I didn't see anything I liked so I decided to leave. When I was trying to exit I was stopped by a group of multiple white employees, who had a very rude smug of their faces, and asked to look inside my bag. I was the only black customer in there at the moment. When they looked there was nothing in there because of course I never steal from these stores. None of them cared to apologize for their mishap and biases. I was very stunned and just left. As a POC I felt improperly judged. I am very hurt and will never shop at this location again. Wanted to let everyone know how HORRIBLE my experience was thanks to ROBIN (5'3-5-'6 pale skin, long dark hair that ends mid way down her sheet, medium sized women). First off they had been lacking in inventory for a while so they were finally restocking. One of the boxes there had an open box of vinyl which no one was putting up and we're not displayed yet. So carefully my mom held the ones we did not want and I made a pile of the ones I was purchasing (we purchased around 10). While this was occurring ROBIN came up manically and rudely yelling at us that we weren't allowed to touch. As I tried explaining she got hostile and I pulled my phone out to record her behavior and what she was saying. At that point she speed walked away and I carried on my shopping. With my phone still in my hand I made the unfortunate mistake of walking in her isle and she ran up to me and rudely shouted 'DO YOU WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF MY FACE' so I was like yes actually (so I could post with the review). Then literally ran away to tell her boss on me after she initiated the interaction. So the assistant manager comes up to us later to tell us how we aren't allowed to take pictures of the employees. First of does she not know the law??? Their is no expectation of privacy in a public store especially when they have cameras AND it wouldn't matter either way when her employee came up to me and offered her consent by asking if I wanted a photo of her. So the lack of overall accountability and knowledge even after I explained her employee initiated it was horrible even told the supervisor to check cameras to see how she came up to me. No action was taken against this worker and she will be protected by them as the supervisor made it clear by her intent to shift blame to us the entire conversation when the cameras literally will show it. I own a clothing business and network with other seamstresses, embroiderers, and crafters--so I will be sharing my experience and telling everyone to shop elsewhere. Will be posting on all Review and social media platforms. If you are going to go out of your way to be rude. Then come up to me and try to start drama by asking me if I'd like your picture then running off to the manager cause it happened. Grow up or quit because this is a customer service job and if you can't do your job and try to start drama on purpose with customers to make your manager look uneducated on the topic--they should all be embarrassed. This store has everything a more. I go here whenever I need holiday decorations, party supplies, crafting supplies etc. There are so many options. They usually have really good deals as well. Their lines at time are usually long and take a while but it's not a big deal. The workers are usually friendly too. Parking can be crazy depending on the time that you go. read more

Wow! Better than Michael's and Jo-Ann's... I wish I would've known about this store earlier. They have everything... arts and craft items, fabric, artificial flowers, frames, candy, home decor items (a huge, almost endless selection of wall art, lamps, etc.), art kits for kids, and even a few furniture items. The store was clean, well-stocked, and well-organized. Best of all, the store had a lot of U.S.A. pride, as evidenced by the U.S. Flag home decor items. Service was friendly. Cashier Katherine and Manager Susana were extremely rude and unprofessional to my family this past Saturday 09-07-24. I asked for a copy of my receipt since gift receipts were not an option. I was given dirty looks by Katherine initially and when I asked if Susana was a manager who witnessed the entire situation she rudely responded with "well YEAH, she is ONE of them..." highly recommend staying far away from this location in Santa Clarita. Visit Burbank or go online. Tip: treat people with kindness and work on leveling up customer service skills. I love Hobby Lobby. They have great prices, great sales and home decor galore. Some of my craft supplies sell out fast so I need to figure out their arrival dates. The supplies they carry seem to be current and trending, unlike Michaels or JoAnns, where I see the same craft supplies year after year. I'm glad Hobby Lobby is able to stay open during the pandemic and in an era where things are so accessible online. There has Never been a trip to Hobby Lobby that hasn't been wonderful! The staff are all very helpful. Even with the pressure of Holiday shoppers & the huge crowds, they are always curtious. Unlike reviews from others who are HATERS, accusing of racial profiling...get a grip people & knock that chip off your shoulder. These people are doing the best they can dealing with people like you who seem to carry their agenda with them everywhere. That aside, I find the store packed with pretty much all I need, & watch for sales it makes it affordable to be creative. I went into the store just to get a few very basic glass vases for some teacher appreciation gifts that I'm making and when being rang up, 3 out of 5 were not 50% off like the sign stated. The associate asked another lady of whom which loudly stated that they were only 40% off. I informed the lady helping me that they all came from the same shelf and the other lady again loudly said their only 40% off while holding an ad stating that I got them from a wedding isle which I never went to. When all of this was happening another employee at the register in front of us named Brook or Brookie kept shaking her head and rolling her eyes so much to purposely get my attention or someone else's, I asked her if she had something to say and she said she had something in her eye- VERY INTERESTING! When exiting I did see an employee with a badge saying assistant manager and informed her of the situation and hopefully she brings it to someone's attention because I will be calling the store tomorrow to speak to the manager. I can see if I was trying to get a big discount but my whole order for 5 little cases was under $10 so I might of saved another $1-its the failed customer service and how rude I was treated while checking out with other customers present that upset me. Treat your customers with respect instead of allowing another employee to shake their head and make faces to customers that ask questions pertaining to discounts. read more

Found so many great items, we were happy with Hobby Lobby until this rude lady named JOAN snatched an item from my daughter's hand and was like "are you gonna buy that!" and put it back on the display. This store is huge and the first time I've ever been into any hobby lobby. I typically stay away from stores with religious agendas on personal principal. For a specific item and convenience I took a chance and hoped lighting bolts wouldn't strike me as I entered. It would be hard to deny I was in a Christian driven, Jesus loving store as I walked along the aisles of what's a hobby store meets Home Goods. There are Christian themed accessories everywhere... sayings, books, wall plaques, crosses, etc., yet the store is devoid of any items from any other religions. And thus, the crux of my problem with any organized belief that ignores others as if they don't exist or worse, sends those that don't believe to hell. But I digress.... I didnt burst into flames, I found what I came for and purchased it without issue. And to be honest, I liked a lot of Hobby Lobby's inventory, I found the prices to be reasonable and the store well organized. But I doubt I'll be back since I prefer to support all-encompassing, tolerance for others, non agenda pushing stores. read more
