I have never written a negative review before but I felt as though this experience warranted it. I went to pick up 2 embroidered sweatshirts, one of which the name was slightly crooked. Modesto had been so kind and accommodating until I asked if there was anything that could be done about it. He told me that he wouldn't charge me but then proceeded to tell me that if he had known that I was so picky he would never have done them and that he would never take my business again. I was nothing but kind in my inquiry and the shift in his demeanor was shocking. He pointed to a sign on the wall that says that his work is not perfect and that things can come out crooked and he is not responsible. I wish he had shown me the sign before I agreed to having the work done. I don't know if he was having a bad day but I have never been treated like that by a business before. I have placed 10 orders in the last 7 months with Modesto- His work and pricing are nice but his communication is awful! My last order was placed just about 4 weeks ago, he told me the graphic is easy and would be ready in one week- From my past experience I know that means two weeks- after two weeks went by I asked for an update and he said this week for sure! (See my screenshots) At the end of the week I asked for an update - dead silence - another week goes by and still dead silence when I ask for an update. I have put a 50% deposit down on these shirts- I have spent over 3000.00 on shirts orders in the last 8 months at this business and I have so many more orders to do. But to ignore a repeat customer and not give him any updates is unacceptable. I have disputed the charge for my deposit since no goods and services were delivered as promised. I had a hat embroidered with a last name. I originally wanted the name to be embroidered on the right side of the hat so that it wasn't right next to the Fanatics logo. The owner of the store advised not to embroider it on that side because that's where the hat's size is adjusted. By embroidering there it would no longer be adjustable. I never considered that. Seriously, their turn around time for being a small shop is super impressive! If I could give zero stars I would. Please please please don't waste your time or money here. I came to this shop because it was close to home and the reviews were great. I called and the owner Modesto was very nice. He was helpful, gave me a due date, was transparent with the price, and even gave me his personal number to call/text anytime. I thought "WOW this place is awesome", HA! Big mistake. It came time to pick up our long sleeves and he said they were going to take more time. I was understanding, I'm sure he was busy. A couple days go by and no updates, so I call and he says they should be done in the next few days. I wait and no call and finally make my way over to the shop again and he has them ready. I get them back and maybe 10 long sleeves came out crooked and the plastic was in between the letters of the majority of the long sleeves. I had to go in with tweezers to take them out one by one. I was bothered by the lack of communication and the attention to detail this shop had but my husband wanted to give them another try. We call to get about 5 hats embroidered. Once again, he was nice at first but when you call and ask for an update (since they were passed the promised delivery date) he SNAPS and is so rude. He goes off and tells me "he doesn't have time to 5 hats. He has big clients like WB and Universal waiting on him." Sir, if this is an issue you shouldn't accept new clients or small projects. This seems like a personal problem. I finally pick them up and he is so rude. I will never come back or recommend this place. Don't bother coming here. We needed a design done on a decent amount of hoodies; the owner told my brother and I he will be able to do them, to not worry that his team can handle the job. We asked various questions to make sure he'd be able to do the work, we didnt mind if he said NO, that way we waste no ones time. Two weeks pass by and still blows us off. Tells us the screens are being done by this "french" guy and his work is one of a kind. Mind you theres lots of work to be done to the hoodie and the sleeves, he couldve got started on the sleeves but decides to wait and leaves us in the air. Time passes by, he tells us it will be done a certain date, we call him on the DATE he gave us and tells us " I find it annoying when people call me for their stuff" ? We were left confused as he gave us a date. Then he presses us for not paying yet he said he wanted us to see the sample FIRST BEFORE PAYMENT. We cut ties. Went to go pick up the hoodies. Workers there helped us put them in the car, but they had the nastiest attitude. Goes to show they didnt want to work on our stuff. Over 500+ items to be printed and he acted as if we were not going to pay half first. He is very unprofessional, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The service was so amazing and personal, not rushed into our order. The owner took the time very patiently to explain everything and help us design what we needed for our order of over 40 specialty football logo t-shirts to wear for family weekend at my sons College Football Game.
