Rachel walked me through different options, offered helpful suggestions, and paid close attention to the details that mattered most to me. I was worried because it was not going to come when it was supposed to. I went to CVS to have one done but it turned out awful. My daughter said go to Michael's to the framing department so I did. OMG! I poked my head in the room where Rachel was putting a frame on a photo for a customer. She looked up at me and with the sweetest voice said Hello, can I help you? And help me she did. She helped me make a tough decision on what frame to use. She had the patience of a Saint. Other customers would come up while she was helping me and they were treated with so much care and respect. After she finished framing it she wrapped it really well and it was beautiful. My friend cried because she liked it so much. Oh and afterward the tile I had ordered showed up the next day. Every time I go into Michaels someone is there to help me find something, give me ideas, or show me how to do a project. I love Michaels. I never went to the framing department here before but I will from now on. It was a good experience!

You can literally find yourself in there forever perusing all the displays in this tiny shop in Stevenson Ranch. Also, it fosters community, hosting monthly art exhibits which local artists can submit to. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are helpful and kind. Each month's exhibit has a theme, and there's always an opening reception. Unlike many art shows, Carter Sexton's shows don't ask for money just to submit your work. Only if your work is accepted and you choose to participate do you pay a modest fee ($15) which is a great deal, because the shop clearly spends a lot of time making placards for each piece with the artist's name and mini-bio, and then hanging the work. You can sell your exhibited work and/or sell prints of it. I'm so grateful for the community this place fosters!

When I saw the work, I was shocked by how sloppy, rushed, and low quality it looked. This was not professional work and not something any business should hand to a customer. I explained that I was unhappy with the quality and asked for my money back because I could not use this canvas for my client. Instead of trying to fix the problem, they refused and kept saying, "This is how we do it," and that they already spent time, labor, and materials on it. They acted like there was nothing wrong with the work at all. What made the experience even worse was the attitude and disrespect. Instead of helping or apologizing, I was told to leave the store. I also took photos of the canvas so people can judge the quality for themselves. I would not recommend this place if you expect professionalism, quality workmanship, or respectful customer service.
