Recently bought a ton of things for a tablescape for thanksgiving but you know, families are weird and someone else wanted to do their own thing. I had removed the tags on a couple things but still had the receipt, so I came in to see if I could return everything. They Al were happy to help and Katie, my cashier was beyond nice. Joking with me about the situation and just saying they're I'll always find a solution for returns. She was just so positive and peppy and during the Christmas season especially, I couldn't be more grateful for such sweet people. Customer service was above and beyond! read more

This was maybe one of the worst experiences in retail I've ever had. The one-star review is specifically because of an employee named Magdalena. I came in today to exchange some items I had bought for my wife's birthday. Because I lost the receipt, I had to take 60% in credit of the sales price. No problem-- it's not their fault I lost the receipt, it's mine. But what was so glaringly one-star worthy was how painful the entire exchange was because of Magdalena's demeanor. From the sighing, to the glaring-- not only was she not friendly, she was rude! Consider saying please or thank you if you work in retail. Or if you're that unhappy working there: quit! I can't believe this is a Christian-owned business. It's quite baffling! Furthermore, they told me they couldn't take an item back because they didn't sell it anymore (meaning: it wasn't populating on their iPad). Instead of doing some due diligence or giving a consumer the benefit of the doubt, they'd made their decision: we're not taking this back! I literally had to walk all the way to the back of the store and grab the item which they still sell (pic attached) in order for them to even consider they were wrong. Oops! No "sorry about that", no "oh you're right, our fault!" Just a dull look on her face obviously disgruntled because I'm making her do "extra work." Really-- either be happy at your job OR just quit. Don't suffer others because of your lack of happiness. I had $5 left on my gift card which I gave to the customer behind me because I'm never coming back here again, I'll go out my way to go to Michael's. Awful job, Hobby Lobby. read more

Let me start by saying: this was my first time ever stepping into a Hobby Lobby. I had always heard it was a Christian-based retail store full of creativity, kindness, and good energy. I thought, what a perfect way to spend my birthday--getting a few craft supplies and treating myself to a peaceful, fun little outing. What I got instead? Humiliation, rudeness, and a total lack of basic human decency. I politely asked a staff member--a young white man with blondish-ginger hair and black glasses--where the googly eyes were. Seems simple enough. But instead of helping me, he literally laughed and said, "It's in the craft section," like I was stupid or something. Then he turned and walked away with another employee (an Asian boy with a bowl cut), both giggling like children. And if that wasn't bad enough? As they walked into the back room, the ginger one turned to his friend and said, "As you can tell, I don't like her." Excuse me? I stood there shocked. I came in with a smile, asked a simple question, and that's how I was treated. I couldn't believe it. I felt completely disrespected, dehumanized, and yes--I started crying. I left the store in tears on my birthday. A place that claims to be built on Christian values should be ashamed to have employees who mock customers, especially first-timers. I was excited to be there. I was kind. And I was made to feel small and unwanted. I will never be back. Ever. Not to this location, not to any Hobby Lobby. You've lost a customer for life. I came here to buy black paint, matte liquid topcoat, (I painted a layer using bleach on just the top, so the topcoat was used to preserve it) as well as cute gold knobs, to help makeover this coffee table, (in the attached picture) and I love how it turned out! After waiting in a very long line with only one cashier working, another cashier arrived to help out and what seemed to be a manger opened a line. People started redistributing to the newly opened lines when the older manager shouted at me that the new checker wasn't open. Her tone insinuated that I should have known this and was deserving of a lecture. This was in a very busy area and drew the attention of many people in the area, leaving me feeling humiliated. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but how she spoke to me really put a damper on mine. read more

They suck at being at communicating to their team, I have never this situation happen to me. I had a cart full of little things and pushing a stroller so I asked if I can put my cart aside and grab a large item at the end. I put my cart aside and went to pick up my item and checkout. By the time I was at checkout almost half my items were put away. It was more irritating to me than anything since I spent more than an hour putting my things together through the store and within 5 minutes that was all gone. Won't be coming back here..... it might not seem a big deal and really isn't but every hobby lobby I've gone to they all offer to hold onto my cart while I continue shopping and I basically wasted my time shopping today read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. I've never had an issue here but tonight I was going to run inside quickly for something. It was 7:40 and they closed at 8, I didn't see an issue with that. I was walking to the door and one of the workers told me they were closing due to the weather..... The weather is not bad and I understand employees safety but plows have been out all day and it stopped snowing hours ago. Like 20 minutes before close??? There's no excuses because there is not inclement weather and they closed at 8. Very disappointing. read more

I came into the store tonight. Honestly, I really am not a fan of Hobby Lobby because no matter which store I go to, it takes forever to get checked out. I was waiting in line for what seemed like forever and then Stephanie V opened up a line. She walked over to us (instead of shouting) to let us know her line was opened up. She rang us out quickly and efficiently. I got out of there much quicker than I anticipated and will likely return more frequently. read more

I usually LOVE Hobby Lobby.... but I was just over charged for a couple of items that were supposed to be 50% off that week and I didn't notice until I got home and looked at my receipt. I took one of the items back in and they had to return it at full price and then charge me again at the 50% off price in order to correct the mistake. However, I had already used the other item that I was overcharged for and I no longer had the original packaging and she said she could not correct that transaction for me. So be careful and watch the cashier as you are purchasing items, because they have to manually go in and give you the discount for the items that are on sale each week, so the cashier really needs to be paying attention and could easily make a mistake and overcharge you! read more

I went to this Hobby Lobby after work on April 17th to find a frame for a print I had. I was having a hard time finding what I wanted, and an employee in the framing department, Kevin, came over and helped me find one. It was a $6.99 frame, discounted to $3.99, and he personally put my print in the frame for me to see how it looked. I wasn't spending a lot of money, but he treated me like I was spending hundreds.
