My girlfriend and I had a terrible experience at this establishment. She tried to use the bathroom, but there was a sign indicating that it was being cleaned. She knocked on the door and saw three workers exiting. When she asked if she could use the bathroom, one of the workers rudely replied, "No, we're cleaning it." After that, the three workers left, and no one was cleaning the bathroom. Another customer approached us and shared that they had experienced the same situation with their child. Apparently, the workers use this tactic before closing the store to prevent customers from using the bathroom before they close and avoid having to clean it. To make matters worse, at the checkout counter, the cashier girl was extremely rude. She threw our bags and had a nasty expression on her face. Overall, this location is terrible. read more

I stopped in to this location while in the area because I saw spring went to 90% off! This store was mostly picked over by 5pm, but I was able to score a few things! I love how big of sales they offer on clearance items! Staff were friendly. read more

Came here for a basic school craft, and they didn't have small acrylic paints (that weren't in sets of 6) or red spray paint. There were also three registers open with people waiting 5 or 6 deep. The Store Manager, Shawn, at the 71st and Mingo location, provided exceptional customer service. I was frustrated with the price of the item I wanted to purchase, and I ended up putting that frustration and upset towards Shawn. Even though I was upset, Shawn apologized for the minor error and reassured me the math and price were correct. He was very polite and well-composed. I hope The Hobby Lobby Corporate Office in Oklahoma City recognizes him for his outstanding performance. Again, Shawn handled himself very professionally. I hope he reads this. If you shop at the Hobby Lobby at 71st & Mingo make sure and check your receipt before you leave and if you make a return make sure and do it separate from anything you are buying. I was going to return 2 items today there and it ran about $11 and was going to buy 2 items that ran about $12 and the cashier told me that I needed to pay $8,34 difference, I told her no that the math was wrong, She then called an assistant manager over who said I just did not understand, I'm sorry why do you not just call me stupid. So then they called a manager over and the assistant told her that I just did not understand, because I had bought from 2 different stores and the total could not be combined, And as I told them I had never had that problem making returns before at a Hobby Lobby and to just give me back my money and things and I would be gone, At this point I was so frustrated I wanted to scream with the way everyone kept saying she just does not understand. I totally understood that they were trying to rip me off. They put one of the items back in a bag gave me a receipt for one of the returns , which was the wrong receipt kept my other receipt so that now I can not return the item in the bag they gave back to me. Which is ok I do not plan to ever go back there after the way I was talked to and the way I was treated. But I could not believe that they only had done one return, did not attach a credit to my receipt and expected me to pay a much larger difference in the mean time. And did not understand why I was frustrated, Beware, do not let them do a return and subtract the difference from the things you are then buying, Make the return and then buy what you wanted, And the funny thing on all of this I had spent a ton of money there in the last year, buying mirrors, art work and decorative items, Not any more I will go else where or order it online. read more

Huge store with some of all kinds of craft, sewing, painting, models, art supplies. All kinds of decor, glass, mirrors, ceramics, frames, framing, posters, yarn, scrap booking. They have some furniture items. They have a big section of seasonal items at each holiday. Most employees are nice. They always have a group of items half off, wait till your thing is on sale. Check all items for damage, they deal in large volume and things can be damaged. read more

If you're in the mood to browse, this is the place to be. They're sale prices aren't special (usually only 5-15% off when you compare the same item elsewhere) but you can find a gem every now and then. Lor-ann oil selections are quite pitiful. There are so many more flavors but they stick to the basics here. The prices? Watch carefully and you can find a bargain or two. They're prices and selection of "usable" crafting items is second-to-none with Michael's maybe being a bit more useful. read more

When I came in the other day I found an item on the 50% off table decor display. When I was checking out, the girl (i don't remember her name) called over a CSM, her name was Kayla I believe, because she was unsure of the discount on the item. The CSM was very rude to the cashier, and me as well, for not understanding that the discount didn't apply to the journal. I don't even freaking work here, so how am I supposed to know?? All i'm saying is the CSM had bad customer service and I don't think I'll be returning to this store. read more

Hobby Lobby is the place to go if you're looking for deals on crafting supplies and home decor and a reasonable price. Everything is usually well organized, although on my latest trip, they seemed to be restocking in several of the aisles and it was hard to get around. I love that there is always at least one section of the store that is 50% off and that you can almost always find a 40% off coupon on their website. They have a good selection of home décor and party supplies, but the real selling point is their crafting section. read more

Hobby lobby on 71st in tulsa used to be my favorite place to buy yarn as they carry my favorite brand. Went to exchange 4 skeins and pick up a few others. Dropped the skeins to be exchanged at the customer service desk, went off to find my replacements and returned to the customer service desk. Explained to the saleslady what I was doing, since it appears they changed sales staff in my absence or in preparation for my return, the new gruff lady says yes unfortunately due to the rich odor of cigarettes we cannot exchange it, before I can respond she calls help over. Now mind you I totally get what she was saying, its the way she said it to me, her tone and affect, as if she was expecting me to be combative. Help comes, starts calling I guess management on his walkie...until I say I will take the yarn I wasn't trying to be difficult, if I'd been allowed to respond to her statement help wouldn't have had to be called. I could have finished my transaction and been on my way. She made me feel like I went in the store with bad intentions, when the truth of the matter is I wasn't aware. I buy my art suppllies at hobby lobby. I love the big selection and the reasonable prices. But I don't like the lawsuit hobby lobby has initiated to avoid including birth control coverage in their employee insurance policies. Hobby lobby has no right to impose their religious preferences on employees. They also claim the morning after pill (Plan B) causes abortions which is absolutely untrue. Until Hobby lobby withdraws its lawsuit, I'll buy my art supplies elsewhere. read more
