Very bad experience in the framing department here! I brought 3 paintings in to be framed. The first one had black stuff all over the Matt that had peeled off the frame. The second one I used my own frame and bought a Matt from them, and 3rd one I ordered a custom frame, and explained I needed it on 8 days. They assured me it would be ready. They left me a message 5 minutes before closing on the day before I was supposed to pick it up saying it didn't make it on the truck but it was no big deal, they would have it ready for me in another week. (I think it didn't make it on the truck because they forgot to order it. )Obviously, this is so unprofessional it's laughable. I needed the painting framed this weekend and now I'm going to have to find another frame store. I know that sometimes these things happen but I really didn't appreciate that they didn't even have the courtesy to let me know until 7:55pm the night before. read more

This is a small store that basically sells home decor, rather than hobby supplies (as their names implies). The customer service is terrible. There are very few workers & those there basically are too busy talking amongst themselves. I just had a quick question & the worker I approached told me she was on break. What great customer service. I wouldn't waste my time going here. Michaels & JoAnn Fabrics are much better for craft supplies. Unfortunately since JoAnn Fabrics is going out of business (thanks in part to Hobby Lobby), I guess Michaels is going to be the go to store from now on. Hobby Lobby's prices are ridiculously high & then they try to scam you by saying that items are 40% off. Why not price the items what they are really worth instead of playing these games? Also, as others have stated, the management here is racist, which is incredulous & totally unaceptable. Especially considering where it is located & who their customer base is & that they are a "Christian owned" business. In particular there is a tall white female manager who stalks you throughout the store. It is not a welcoming shopping environment for anyone of color. The framing department has the worst workmanship I've ever seen! They screwed up 6 out of 9 items I had framed! They were very expensive, and were done VERY POORLY!!!! I would never under any circumstances use their framing department again! Just a horrific experience!!! read more

My normal Hobby Lobby is the Oak Creek location, closer to where I live- but running errands around this area, we popped in and this Hobby Lobby is very nice, with all that Hobby Lobby has to offer. I'd never been in a Hobby Lobby store prior to this visit, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. When I walked in I felt like I was in that scene from ET, where all the scientists and such tented Elliot's house in an effort to study ET. Clear plastic sheeting everywhere!! I don't know whether to say they were thorough about Coronavirus sanitation or just plain nuts! Anyhow, I ended up at Hobby Lobby because I was looking for a very specific product and, after searching online, they were the only place in the area I could find it AND was open to customers. I was surprised, to a point, because I expected HL to be more like some of their competitors. A bunch of old people picking out yarn and fabrics for some odd, crafty projects. This may just be because of sanitation procedures and social distancing but I found the store hard to navigate. Things were in locations that made no sense. I.e.: I was looking for Ranger Alcohol Ink for a project on copper. Guess where it was... in the aisle with PLASTIC model cars... that's a bit of a stretch! The aisles were marked with "traffic patterns" throughout the store. One arrow pointed this way, the next was the opposite way and the third was a big 'X' which, I guess, was a closed aisle. Of course, my needs were in a closed space. My stuff was in that area, so I went and got it anyway! I'm not really letting Coronavirus control my life but I do take precautions because my health can often be a bit precarious. I was disappointed to see that about 1/2 the other customers were prancing around without masks, etc. It was clearly marked in a giant sign, at the entrance, explaining their requirements. However, nobody was enforcing it... so, why have it?!! Hobby Lobby is not a store I will ever patronize often. My art isn't craft, no fake roses attached to burlap here. They had some of the name brands I like but the prices were ridiculous even compared to ordering online from an art supply and paying for shipping. It's a good place if I find myself in a bind (and the professional art supply stores are still closed). So, make your own call on this one!! read more

This location is smaller then other stores in the area Price is rather high even with the sale price and coupons All seasonal merchandise are displayed year round so it's no fun to see things as each holiday comes up Hopefully this location stays clean because every business that's been in this location doesn't seem to last very long read more

The cashier provided the total and I placed the amount due in his hands and get placed the remaining change on the counter and the receipt in the bag. This is an ultimate customer no no. I'm not sure if he treated me poorly because I am African American or if he simply has bad manners, bc either way it's unacceptable behavior. read more

I'm an artist and just happened to be in the neighborhood and I saw the store was new with Grand Opening on the front. The store was laid out well and neat and tidy. Their was a 50% off sale going on and the reasonable prices were bumped up to great prices on a lot of things I needed . Why the one star then? Well I am a 55 year old Black male and I couldn't shake the feeling that the store employees were suspicious of me being there. After being asked did I need help finding something not only by the first employee I made eye contact with at the front door but it was repeated 3 more times as I walked around. As I checked out with my purchases I was asked was there anything else in my cart. I said no but the cashier couldn't help but look over the counter to make sure my cart was empty. As I was loading my car a gentleman who exited the store asked me did I notice how security was following us around. He was Black as well. read more
