What a great company to work with! I called several other companies to find out about a mini split system installed in my little condo in a complex on the 2nd floor. I was only able to find one other company will install in a second floor condo. The other company wanted to sell me a more expensive unit because they thought the space required more power and it would have cost more money too. CM heating explained that they thought the smaller, less expensive unit was enough for my space. They also said if they were wrong and it didn't provide enough power they would replace it with a bigger unit. I called the other company back and they said they wouldn't do that. The installation went better than i expected! They were finished in about 4 or 5 hours, it was fast. Being in condo on the 2nd floor has it's compromises though. I don't have an attic or basement so I thought i would have some tracks to cover some electrical wires exposed in my living room. However, the very creative electrician figured out how to hide all the living room & kitchen tracks. YEAH! I have been really enjoying the amazing quiet unit and the cooling it has been providing for the past month. I do have one small complaint but it's not CM Heating it is the inspection you have to have afterwards. I was given all instructions and info from CM Heating on how to get the city to inspect. I work my own schedule and it changes almost daily. I called the City of Everett on a Monday and left a message that i MIGHT be home that upcoming Thursday morning for an inspection. I never heard back from the City of Everett inspectors. I get a knock on Thur morning while I'm getting dressed and the first of two inspectors comes in to inspect my new install. It passed. That inspector was very nice and said to expect another inspector later that day, no idea what time he would be there though. I called the City of Everett and got voice mail. i had since Monday made other business appointments and had to go. The inspector called me about 3:00 to tell me that i couldn't just not be there when he showed up. He proceeded to talk to me as if he were a idiot and should have known he would be there. Other than that little exception i would call CM Heating for all your heating and cooling needs. read more

Our install was a whole house install in Marysville WA. When we purchased this home it was wall heaters only, which the original owner had half installed (half removed from the wall) and the others were turned off at the circuit breaker panel. This was to save money on the electric bill. Prior to closing we had all of those heaters replaced and functional, about 11 of them. Our first winter month with only half of the wall heaters on to maintain a 69-70 range was pretty expensive. I had talked with another heating company and questions were slow to be answered and they really didn't seem very interested in what we had questions on. Costs with them seemed pretty high. I checked online and read up a little on CM Heating and the reviews seemed very good. I filled in the information online about what I was looking for and got a pretty fast reply by phone. That was a plus as when they reach out to you within a good timeframe it seems they want your business. I met Rusty not long after and we went through a few things and he was able to set up what we were needing for a full install and cost was very reasonable. The staff was very helpful with everything and the process was pretty seamless. We put down money on the total cost and financed the rest through the Energy Smart loan program with PUD and PSCCU. Lots of options and reasonable payment. The install was lengthy and took about 4 work days and a finishing day on Friday. The system was run for the weekend and the home felt different with consistent heat even down to the lower level laundry room. Before we had many cold spots and a big temperature difference between the levels (Tri-level). Our work crew was the best I have seen as far as knowledge and professionalism. Like others have said they were very respectful of the home and my Wife and I. The areas were clean after each day of work and the work itself was excellent. Our crew was Eron, Josh and Justin and our electrician was also Josh. My personal thanks to them for making the install as painless as possible. My personal thanks to them. We will eventually also need additional work done for installing a HE Water heater and possibly additional ducting, CM Heating will be who I call. Thanks CM Heating! CAN YOU CLONE THIS WONDERFUL TECHNICIAN!!!!!! JOSH should be in charge of the training of ALL of your installers! After TWO YEARS of difficulties, stress, time and money spent by CM Heating as well as for us, Josh was able to evaluate the installation and the subtle problems that were causing our grief all along! Your company has been so accommodating and helpful in trying to resolve our problems.....even to the extent of replacing head units, outside pumps EVERYTHING! All the while dealing with my desperation and discouragement regarding our purchase! I couldn't understand why OUR Mitsubishi unit couldn't handle PNW heat when I knew this system has been used in Sahara type weather as well as in the homes of my colleagues with no issues. Well, thanks to JOSH, he determined that the issue was not with the equipment, it was a small issue with the original installation.....the problem was that there was a slight UP-HILL angle regarding the drainage tube from the evacuation pump to the outside drain. That small problem caused our evacuation pump to overwork and shut off the cooling unit as it could not properly evacuate the drainage. The small pump finally just overworked itself and shut everything down. While all of your installers have done their very best and this installation issue was something seemingly so minor, it took the trained eye and experience of a true installation champion...JOSH, to decipher and make the necessary drainage adjustments; which he diagnosed and corrected on the spot. So far, our system is working wonderfully and I feel confident that JOSH has finally corrected and resolved our problem. I only wish for both CM heating and for us that he would have been assigned to our job years ago....or at least been a final inspector of the initial installation, it may have saved us both a lot of heartache. I look forward to our system working correctly now and wish for the best. Hello, We recently had our old electric furnace removed and replaced with a heat pump system from CM Heating. We interviewed five separate hvac companies before choosing. In our opinion, CM offered the best rated equipment (American Standard) and price. It is also a nice looking system aesthetically. Everyone there was completely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and capable in every way. General Manager John Giacomi is the captain of this outstanding team. He was involved in every aspect of the job from the first consultation with the sales rep all the way to completion. Due to other projects we had scheduled, our installation required quite a bit of planning and communication with the CM team. Anytime we had a question John responded promptly with the right answer and any concerns we had were expertly handled quickly and efficiently. Like John, our main office contact Debbie Bauers, is at the top of her game. She was especially helpful in coordinating with PUD and another service contractor for us on some particular aspects of our job and everything proceeded smoothly due to her fine efforts. The day before installation, technical expert Lyle came out to evaluate the best way to handle our project. He informed the install crew of what they needed to do so they would not have any surprises. Sales rep Rusty was there helping Lyle. It was good to see that Rusty's job went beyond selling and was involved in the project also. On installation day, electrician Josh arrived first and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. I've worked with many electricians over the years and I must say that Josh is among the very best. When installation team Michael, Josh and Si arrived, they got straight to it and did an outstanding job. They were able to handle some tricky aspects of this job with ease. Expert service technician Drew came the following day to charge the system and run performance tests to ensure everything was as it should be. Drew also came out after the duct work had been resealed and insulated to check the ducting for any leakage. The system and workmanship passed all inspections as expected. I had longed for a safer and more economical heating source than our electric wall heaters, but didn't think that wall-mounted ductless heat pumps fit well with our home's aesthetic. CM Heating offered a solution by installing a ducted ductless heat pump in our attic, which vents into the second floor rooms. And our downstairs is now comfortably heated and cooled by a ceiling cassette ductless heat pump, which appears far less obtrusive in our context than a wall-mounted unit might have been. 100% of our interactions with CM heating installers and technicians have been positive. From the beginning they assured us they would take care of us and make sure that we were satisfied customers. We have had some questions and concerns, and each time they sent a team of technicians to help resolve our concerns. Sometimes it took more than one attempt to resolve the matter, but they were persistent. CM Heating went the extra mile to bring a technician from the manufacturer in as well. And in the process I have had repeated communication with a co-owner of the company, John Giacomi, who has remained patient, friendly, and sincerely interested in resolving the concerns. In the end, the bothersome noise we were hearing from our ceiling cassette had to do with some plastic tabs that were only used for shipping. When the tabs were removed and some minor adjustments made, the sound became significantly less noticeable. The technician, Ian, was methodical in reviewing the situation, made minor adjustments, and was completely successful in getting the unit to function as it should. With each visit, Ian and other technicians have displayed professionalism, strong communication skills, and a desire to have us as satisfied customers. I have appreciated all of the CM staff who have visited our home and can affirm that CM heating employs a business model, training, and commitment to customer satisfaction which is very effective and we are amongst the ranks of their satisfied customers.  We appreciate them for going the extra mile to address concerns that many other companies would have dismissed right away. We appreciate all they have done and am deeply grateful. I had utilized CM Heating back in 2011 to install my gas fireplace. It was a great experience. I recently used them to install a new furnace and air conditioning. It too was a pleasant experience. They were prompt, extremely professional and willing to answer even the simplest question without being condescending. Their three bids were very competitive and since I had a previous experience with them I felt very comfortable with selecting them to install my equipment. The icing on the cake was my water heater installation. As fate would have it, three days after my A/C was installed my 7 year old hot water heater started to leak. It was under warranty so I contacted the company who installed it (Brennan). They sent out a technician and after charging for the visit, he let me know what I already knew; my hot water heater was toast. After he discussed the issue over the phone with his office, he informed me that the office would call me the following day regarding the warranty. Getting ready for work the following morning and it being day 2 of 54 degree showers I decided to call the original installers. The person answering the phone told me the individual who handles warranties wouldn't be in until 9:00. At this point I could have cared less about the warranty I just wanted a hot water heater. She insisted I wait until he calls. At 9:30 I received a call from the original company to be informed that the heater was under warranty but I would have to pay labor and additional parts. He also stated the soonest he could get someone out would be 06/02/2016. That would have been a 7 day wait. I told him to forget about it. Realizing that if I didn't act soon there would be no way to get a water heater that day. I called CM and gave them the model number of the heater I had. They had a replacement and were able to fit me in that afternoon. They actually arrived a little earlier than promised, installed the heater in record time and did an outstanding job and price to the 50 gal tank was extremely competitive. I really appreciate how they fitted me in, even with the three day weekend. CM has my business from now on. Outstanding local company! I would highly recommend CM! read more

I have been with CM heating for quite sometime and I am really disappointed with a recent experience. An absolute rip off and worst service I got with a fireplace issue recently. $315 for a initial visit when it that was clearly mentioned pilot is not staying on and please bring a $6 thermocouple to fit in "during the visit". Mysteriously the truck did not carry such a basic HVAC part so they have to order it and come back again. Now what am looking at is separate charges for visit that cannot be combined with another $350 for the thermocouple replacement ($6 material cost) and another $550 for a thermopile replacement ($25 material cost), I understand material cost has nothing to do with labor cost or custom part orders, but I would expect some reduction in price when you change parts that are like 1 inch away from each other and your total work time is reduced when you combine ala-carte jobs. Thermocouples and Thermopiles are interchangeable they are generic not brand specific, and all that needs to be clear is the milli-volt range and size that is again generic not brand specific. For a HVAC company its hard to believe they did not come with the part, and they want to project it as a tough to get part and come back again for replacing this part. Someone please explain why is this bloated to a $1200 job when I am asking few other folks they are saying we can do thermocouple/thermopile replacement under $500 if you send us the part numbers we can order it ahead and get it done in one visit. Lastly nothing great about the fireplace its a standard 15 year old fireplace and with standard thermocouple/thermopile parts from homedepot just fit in. I just don't get it whats up with CM heating with this latest episode. CM Heating used to be a really 5-star service I am worried they are really dropping the ball and becoming like any other business, kindly put your customer first and loyalty pays long run. I am happy to take my review down but you really lost me here CM heating unless I hear otherwise. read more

We got quotes from 4 different HVAC companies and spent hours with each trying to learn about the products and decipher bids. We chose CM because prices were fair and Lyle was so patient, helpful and took the time to set up the best system, putting our needs first. It was clear from the start, it was not just about throwing in a system to make a quick buck, but truly caring about doing good work for us. CM did a super job with both our furnace system and gas insert! What stood out most was their willingness to solve any problem that presented itself, bring in whoever it took to fix it quickly and correctly and to do it all (and extra) with a smile and genuine caring, that is hard to find these days! Because we had an extra small fireplace other companies had told us it was not possible to install a gas insert. But C.M worked with us to find the possibilities rather than the limitations. The probem arose when we ordered the wrong gas insert and the trim piece would not fit. C.M. brought in the forces and all (John, Lance, James, Debbie, etc) had a part in getting us a different style in a rush so we could still tile, etc before our deadline (son's wedding). Everything was a challenge, but we knew we were in the best of hands when John Lewis was out. Even though he was working late and squeezing us in, he was going to make it work one way or another. Talk about a "can do" attitude- we knew if anyone could make it happen, it was John! Not only did he do his job, when the appliances were coming and we were not quite ready he jumped in to lend us a hand with that too. John did an oustanding job! The entire CM team each had a piece to solving the puzzle and it was clear they had great teamwork. We highly, highly recommend this company and wish all could be this personable, capable, and willing to go out of their way to please the customer, despite the obstacles. UPDATE: there is no update!!! I gave the owner the address of my wife's aunts and they have not responded to me at all. This type of company gives the trades a bad name. A CM Heating technician went to my wite's aunts house to do a maintenance inspection/PM and told her that her furnace heat exchanger was cracked on her 80% Bryant furnace. My wife's Aunt, who is in her 70s, knew I was a tradeworker/electrician but did not know I am primarily a HVAC/R technician. I was over at her home about two weeks after they shut her furnace down by shutting off the gas, disconnecting the ignitor harness, and turning off the service switch. This was the cold snap that was in the low teens a few weeks ago, she was walking around in a coat and only had a space heater. It was less than 50° inside her home and she was slowly running the water at the taps to prevent pipes from freezing. I was over looking at an electrical issue and asked her about why she didn't have heat. She proceeded to tell me the story and showed me the picture the technician showed her... it wasn't even the same heat exchanger that's in her furnace. I informed her I'm primarily a HVAC technician and went up to the attic and did a thorough inspection completely accessing the heat exchanger and found no crack at all. I put everything back together and turned her heat on. Only thing wrong were the draft inducer (exhaust fan) motor bearings had a slight grind noise which is typical for Bryant furnaces of that age and is a replaceable part that doesn't present a safety issue at all. They even told her the furnace she had is a "crappy brand" and then tried to sell her a Goodman furnace (which is ironically a piece of crap brand) for an insane amount considering Goodman is garbage. Shame on CM heating for lying to an old woman to try and sell a furnace. These types of technicians give the trades a bad reputation. read more

Unbelievable customer service! It started with getting a new water heater installed by them in Sept 2018. They dealt with last minute changes when I decided to go from a tankless water heater to a standard gas tank water heater. Seth did a great job with that, and it works great. Then when my furnace went out on the weekend a month later in November, Krispin showed up and spent over an hour diagnosing and getting it back working, and because I was had their club membership (free of charge from the water heater purchase), it only cost me $50 for that service call. Then I decided just to get a new gas furnace and AC unit before the furnace went out for the winter, and after getting several bids, CM Heating matched the lowest bid (apples to apples). Shawn was very patient with me and was great to work with through the bidding process. Once I decided on CM Heating and moved forward, their crew that came to install my furnace and AC unit did a fantastic job especially with everything that happened. Nick and Jimmy spent the whole day (about 12 hours) getting both the furnace and AC installed. They were always positive even with me poking around and asking questions non-stop. The next day, William came by to update my thermostat and to upgrade the furnace appropriately so everything could communicate well with the thermostat which was needed due to complications with the equipment and they took care of everything and didn't charge me extra. I'm sure they actually lost money on my project because they treat customer service seriously. I don't think I'll ever switch to another HVAC company while I'm in the area. I've had five points of contact with CM Heating over the past month - First was the initial meeting/consultation with Michael (sales). Then Brian (technician) came out to inspect the property and answer questions and get all the info he needed for an efficient installation. Then Josh and another technician (forgot his name) came out to do the actual installation. Jerry came over today to do a duct test and answer any follow up questions I might have had (I had a lot) and then finally, this afternoon, after I screwed up the entire system, Krispin came out, spent about an hour with me at the very end of the day, and fixed everything. At every single point of contact CM Heating was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, patient with my questions, super friendly with my over-eager dog, efficient and just a pleasure to work with. Before anyone arrived for their scheduled appointment I received a phone call to let me know they were on their way and their anticipated arrival time as well as a text and email from their office with the name and photo of the person who would be arriving. As as single, female I really appreciated this gesture as I'm not always comfortable opening the door to strangers. The few times I've talked to customer service on the phone they're always so happy and funny and super helpful. I think the fact that every employee I've engaged with is so happy and fun and professional speaks volumes about what an amazing company CM Heating is to work with. I appreciate that they're a small, local company and their level of service, both customer service and technical/installation service, was above and beyond. CM Heating in Everett is above and beyond a "5 star" rating. They were neither the lowest or highest bidder, but they made the best impression on us. It helped that we already knew people who were satisfied with their heat pump & furnace equipment and installation. They were diligent and focused as they worked and left my garage looking neater than it was before they arrived. Their outdoor work was impecable. Their directions for us were crystal clear. Plus, these folks are just good people. The professional who gave our bid, De'Jhana Calloway, clearly defined the different types of systems we could use. She also gave us additional information we'd requested after the visit. The installers, Joey Irwin and Samir Dodic, and the electrician, Jeffrey Zellerhoff, worked tirelessly until they were completely satisfied with their final testings of the system. They, also, had great communication skills in explaining the system and instructing us in what we would need to do. It was a bonus that the electrician completed the City of Mill Creek's inspection report on the same day. After the job was finished, we needed some information we couldn't figure out how to get on line. Both Amy Legible and Hannah Ageage provided it for us and helped us avoid more computer-stress. We realize that this is a family run organization, and later noted to each other that these staff members seemed like a "family", too. They simply gave off "good vibes"...each and every one of them. We needed service for our instant hot water heater a year ago. We contacted CM for the service, and my husband was happy with their promptness, and courteous manner so he signed up for a service agreement (that never happens!). A year later our tank started up with an error message, and we called them out for this years service. He was able to make an appointment quickly, and they came out- they indicated the problems are often resolved with the maintenance and to let them know if it didn't. Error message came up again shortly after he left, and he returned quickly to check it out. Like anything mechanical, he was not able to recreate the issue and it was not an issue he had seen before. He checked around and researched it and found it is a rare problem these tanks can have. It required a special order part, and though the process to get the part was not speedy, we felt they made every effort to keep us in the loop and not feel they had forgotten our problem. When the part came in on a Friday, they squeezed us into the schedule for Saturday, since we had been waiting. They installed it at no charge. Honestly, my husband does most of our home repairs, as we are often left feeling overcharged and underwhelmed with service. CM provided excellent service and went above and beyond to fix our tank. It's not often that I am compelled to write reviews, but good service deserves a shout out. read more

CM Heating was incredibly responsive and did a tremendous amount of work in a very small amount of time. The creaftsmanship and pride in their work was readily apparent, which showed in the end quality of the work performed on our furnace/water heater replacement. We explored several other contractors prior to selecting CM Heating to do our conversion from electric to natural gas, ultimately selecting CM over others due to a multitude of factors. Other contaractors changed their bids and/or backed out completely after an agreement was reached. CM, however, honored their bid and did so with excellent attention to detail during the actual performance of the job. Also, CM offered a very competitive bid, was reliable and extremely responsive when meeting all our needs. There were things that had to be fixed after the initial installation was completed and CM never complained, but rather scheduled time for their technicians to come back to my home and fix the unexpected issues with absolutely no questions asked. I highly recommend CM Heating to anyone looking to have work done on their home - you certainly can't go wrong with this exceptional company. My wife and I recently completed an extensive rebuild of our heating, cooling and fireplace systems with CM Heating. We found our experience to be outstanding form the start with Rusty, who provided our bid information, to Kevin who completed our duct testing after the installation process had been completed. Our communication with Debbie, in the CM Offices, was always very positive and upbeat. Any questions or issues were handled cheerfully and efficiently. On the installation day, Kevin and Justin arrived to get started on the furnace/airconditioning equipment, Matt arrived to cover the gas fireplace inserts and Richard handled the electrical work. John came in later to cover the sheet metal work for one of the fireplaces that demanded some custom fabrication. All of them were courteous, clean and professional. They were also very informative as the day went on, answering our questions and making adjustments that were needed after they got input from us first. We couldn't be more happy with the equipment and workmanship. We have confidence, as a result of our experience so far, that we will be well taken care of during follow-up servicing and any warranty work, should it be needed. We absolutely cannot recommend CM Heating highly enough! They installed 5 "mini-split" air conditioning/heating units in our house, and the process could not have been smoother. Shawn from Sales came to our house and did a very thorough evaluation of our house, and gave us a quote that was lower than another company's (even when including a unit that the first company said couldn't be done!). Brenda in the main office was incredibly helpful with scheduling and payment, and answered all of our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. The team that came to install the units was absolutely top-notch. Scott, Jake, and Hunter were all really professional, polite, and worked incredibly hard in very hot weather! Reese, the electrician, came on the second day and was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating of our schedules (especially when working around electricity in a house full of people working from home!). The entire team was a true pleasure to work with! They made sure all our questions were answered, and even took extra steps to clean up afterwards to make sure the house was back to normal. The units are amazing - they cooled our entire house down very quickly, and are so quiet!
