When the guy came out, he didn't use a camera or even a snake tool. Based off of no information other than what I gave over email, says it'll be $600-700 to use the snake tool to explore the drain. It ended up being $90+ for him to do nothing to solve the problem, and tell me essentially that my options were to ignore the problem or fill the drain with concrete to abandon it.

It took me awhile to find Roy, aka Matthew, but when I did I hit the jackpot. He helped me over the phone one afternoon while he was working, then again at night by text when I hadn't expected to hear back until the following day or who knows... perhaps never. With his help I bought a clamp but he was concerned about the photo I sent fearing with good reason the clamp would only be a temporary fix. So he came the next afternoon, put the clamp on and then crawled under the house to ascertain the extent of my problem. So I can't fault them for their work. They quoted me more than other bids that I had but went with them since they came recommended from my contractor. But then, when it came to do the final installation before my family is moving in (finishing installing the toilets, sinks, shower heads, etc), they inform me that wasn't part of the initial quote and they are going to charge me thousands more and if I didn't go with them, they would revoke their warranty (since other reputable companies were willing to do the same job for much less).
