TLDR: Associates will attempt to steal valuables from your car. Full story: Brought my car to the wash yesterday. Thought I lost my AirPods but was alerted by my phone that someone took it and turned it on at the car wash the next morning. Went back to the carwash and told them that someone turned it on 10 mins ago (based on "Find my" app) and at first the lead associate was about to turn me away till I told him some crazy story. Then he called the team and after telling them what I said, one associate basically led us back to my car and said he found something hidden in between the seat in my car (I guess it fell out of my belongings) and instead of leaving it in my car, took it out of my car and kept it in their workstation. Luckily I was able to claim back my tech but I'm ashamed that these people would not leave others belongings where they belong. Beware because these people may take your stuff in your car. Also, terrible job vacuuming, there's still cat fur everywhere in my car... maybe focus on your actual tasks instead of vacuuming someone else's valuables. read more

After 2 roundtrip road trips to Michigan and back, our car was a highway bug graveyard. We were in a desperate need of a car wash. Our usual spot closed about a year ago, and the one we were going to wasn't doing as good of a job getting the deep dirt out, so we decided to try out Hoboken Car Wash. I think we paid for the 2nd most expensive option, and it took about an hour from drop off to finish. There's benches to wait, so that was good. They did a very good job, very thorough. I am very particular about my car and car wash. This is the best one in the Hoboken/Jersey City area by far. Great spot and the owner Brian is a really nice guy. Drives me nuts when you get a fresh wash and a place doesn't properly dry. Halfway down the street your car looks worse than when it when in. Never the case here! I've never gotten a car wash in Hoboken before and there aren't that many, just because Hoboken is so small. I wasn't willing to drive outside of Hoboken, so we decided to give this one a shot. We were in desperate need of a car wash because our car had gotten egged, and that egg had frozen overnight so there was no way we were going to spend our time scraping egg off the windows. We did the Deluxe Wash for $25.99, which includes an exterior wash, interior vacuum, windows, dashboard, triple coat polish wax, sealer wax, undercarriage, and tire shine. It was $25 well spent. For the most part, everything seemed very clean. We also went on a Friday at 8 am (opens at 8), so I feel like they had more time to actually clean things, since it wasn't busy. Stay far away. Took my car there, and left with a chunk of my wheel missing and severe damage to my tire, which both had to be replaced. I went back to speak with the owner who told me he didn't do it, and if there was any way I could show his metal tracks could have done it he would have paid (as he says in every review left here claiming damage to a vehicle). So I went and got opinions from Midas and the dealership and brought them to him showing it was of their opinion that the damage could not have been caused by a pothole and could have been caused by a metal object like the one at the car wash, the owner became extremely defensive, tried giving me a website to contact him that doesn't even exist. I tried to resolve the issue amicably and now had to take him to court. Bottom line: If your car gets damages (which happens), the owner will tell you to prove it. Then when you prove it, he will tell you too bad. As a business owner, they should probably do better! read more

Please save your money and don't go to this car wash. The quality is extremely low and the workers are disrespectful. I spent $35 to get my vehicle washed and when I asked if they had a rag/spray to get something off my hood, they told me I needed to pay for a detail. I asked if I could take a rag and rub it and he told me again to pay for a detail. When I looked at the inside of the car, it looked like they hadn't even vacuumed. At this point, I will be rewashing my vehicle inside/out. I shouldn't have to pay $ 250+ to get a decent vacuum and sap off my hood. Brother, this car wash SUCKS. Everyone who works here is just super rude and unhelpful. The cashier is nice and kind, but doesn't seem to be allowed to know the prices or services, she also gets yelled at by the drunk workers for no reason. Also extremely high unfair prices, and unwillingness to negotiate. If you only need one or two services, a wash, and a vacuum, for example, they will still force you to get a 5 service package and spend double what you wanted. 0/5 stars, I will never go again and will not recommend it to anyone. This was my first visit and as far as the cleanliness of the car, I'm satisfied. I chose "The Works" package. The entire interior was vacuumed and waxed. Same with the exterior; however, the exterior could have been done a little better. There are a few black streaks of lines on the car; not too sure as to why that may be. Overall, I was happy that the car was clean. As far as the customer service component, they aren't interpersonal savvy. Essentially from the time you pull up to get it washed to paying for the service, you won't be received with a smile. That's the only thing that kept me from giving five stars. I stopped by the Hoboken car wash after passing it every time I come to Hoboken and from seeing the good reviews online. The entrance is a little confusing since the building is on a major highway. I did a spin around the block before I was going in the correct direction to make a right turn in. Overall, the workers were all very friendly and truly took the job seriously. I appreciated that they vacuumed the Inside of my car along with the car wash. The cheapest wash is $21 which I found a bit steep compared to other car washes I have been to. They did a great job. I left four stars because there were some spots of bird poop on my windshield that needed extra work to get off but it was still on there when I got in my car to leave. There were a couple of dirt spots on the back of my car as well. All in all, I would recommend! You are better off doing the unlimited monthly car washes for $44 if you plan on going frequently. We came here for a car wash and the "manager" told us that we could not get our mats cleaned because he didn't have enough people working. There were four employees visibly working, by the way. When we went inside to talk to the lady behind the counter, we asked for the owners information so we could let the owner know that the manager was making decisions for the company that is not in its best interest. She told us that she lost her phone and all her contacts and that the owner cannot be reached. The car was washed, but I wasn't amazed. I still had white marks on the car, after the wash, from the most recent snow. I would have thought this experience would have been more satisfactory, however I am left feeling like I was led on by false advertising. If your sign says you offer a service, that service is not conditional based upon the number of employees you may or may not have. If you are looking for a car wash where you pay money for them not to thoroughly clean you car, then this is your place! They rush through the wash. They don't clean everything. I asked the manager to clean the wheel base which was filthy and he refused to clean it. He said it was already clean. Was rude. All he had to do was take the hose and hose it off which would have taken a total of 5 minutes. Also, it says they take credit cards on the door but every time I go there their credit card machine is "not working." Parked my car under a tree in Hoboken and had some kind of brownish-red (berry?) stains ALL over it. Didn't think too much of it, got it washed a few days later and the stains were still there (this was at a different car wash). Instead of anyone telling me my car needed a special treatment they just let me leave. Shame on them. After trying to buy a wax remover and get the stains out myself which was taking forever I asked Hoboken Car Wash about it and Miguel promised me it would be spotless with their $45 wax special. The place was pretty busy but after about an hour I come back and it looked great. My car was shiny, the wheels were clean, and the interior was vacuumed. I'm shocked the average rating is not higher. This place is fantastic! My car looks like new after a wash and wax there. My only complaint is that it takes a long time because they are so detailed. Fun at the carrrrr wasshhhh. This place is VERY confusing to get into. I think I almost died 3 times trying to pull in. The entrance is on Observer...but so is the exit. It's all very scary. One you figure out how to get in though, everything gets a little easier. There are multiple options to make you feel like your precious vehicle is at the salon. From regular wash, to Silver, to Gold, to VIP, yada yada yada I mean really, whats the difference? I wanted RainX so I went with the Gold option (fancy, eh?) which came out to about $26 including tax. A basic wash is about $12. When you check in on Yelp, a discount pops up for 15% off "Detail Packages." When I went to the cash register to check out, she had no idea if what I was getting was considered a "detail package." Instead of finding out, she told me go get "the guy" and ask him. I do a full spin around, and there's no "guy..." At that point I just said forget it, I'll apply the discount next time, if it's appropriate. Wasn't in the mood to deal with chasing people around and begging for their measly 15% off discount. You just sit there on your stool, wouldn't want you to exert yourself. They do a nice, thorough job, but give yourself at least 15 minutes, depending on what package you get. You can hang out inside, or on some benches outside, which is a nice spot to sit and read a book. Yes, I sat and read a book. Next to a hot man, who was too cool to speak to me. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this place. My car desperately needed some attention after being sprayed all over with dirt following the snowstorm last week. After looking at my car, they told me the damage was bad and would require an external detail. Pros: Thankfully, they offered to do it for $50, which was a great deal considering the effort it took to clean my car. The person who detailed my car took his time and really made sure to focus on all areas of the car. Also, they accept credit card payments. Cons: I was initially told it would only take 30-35 minutes and ended up there 2 hours and late for work (with no updates on progress). There was only one person working on my car for the majority of the time because it was so busy. I had arrived at 9AM on a Thursday when there was one other car there but apparently 9-11 is a mini rush time because cars kept coming one by one right after me. At the end, I was told that I would have to come back to detail the entire driver side of the car which would cost me $75. So like I said, I'm a little torn with this place. While they did an amazing job on the work they did on my car and gave me a great price initially, they were very inaccurate with how long it would take and didn't even finish. read more

In preparation for a road trip, I brought my car in for a full detail here after my doorman recommended it. Just to make things clear, it's under new management. For no fee, the manager actually drove me home to drop me off while they worked on the car, cleaned it inside and out, and brought it back to me immaculate (I lived on the waterfront). The best part of the detailing job was the interior roof shampoo (I was never able to do that on my own), the leather cleaning that took out 5 or so year old dirt stains, and took off all the scratches off my car. I'm not sure if they use a special rock or what, you can call them up and ask, but all the minor and moderate scratches I had all over my car (03), were erased. 5 Months now after the cleaning, the scratches still are gone and the exterior looks nearly brand new. The owner called me the next day and asked if there was anything that they missed, and if so that they would be happy to re-touch anything that wasn't up to my standards. The detailing is pricey (~180 for a full detail, but very worth it - ESPECIALLY if you're selling your car). But if you're getting a regular interior cleaning, it's dirt cheap. The towels they use are cleaner than the ones I've got at home and the Hyatt, and not sure about the other reviewer re recycled water, but the guys and gals in my building and I have been impressed and happy with results of the new management's strive for perfection. read more

Not only that the car wash wasn't able to remove the hard dirt (When I mean hard, I mean that it requires minimal force with a wet cloth to remove. No more than that) - but there were parts with dust. DUST!! AFTER A CAR WASH?! WTF?! The thing most worth mentioning was that he had his manager spend considerable time buffing some blemishes that another car's paint left on the side of my door.
