We chatted about favorite books and despite only being here for 11 months, I hope they become a dub-c staple. The owners are a couple, one who went to school for culinary and the other for poetry. Truly a story from a Hallmark movie! Supporting independent bookstores and small POC-owned businesses is a priority for me, and I'm happy to welcome this location to the area. I found some obscure tabletop RPGs including a Goblin Slayer RPG and an OSR adventure called The Seven Deadly Skills of Sir Amoral the Misbegotten. My favorite finds are cheap weird stuff from publishers I've never heard of. It looks like 2nd and Charles is adding clearance sections to many areas -- I found them in horror, mystery and science fiction -- and this is a welcome improvement.
