My partner took our miniature dachshund here yesterday for a New Client appointment and he only had great things to say! I thought I should share. :) She is 10 weeks old and they did her very best with her, he said they treated her like family and this helped make her feel safe throughout the entire visit. Dr. Brown and her staff were also kind enough to send us home with a Welcome Bag full of incredible information and additional puppy food and toys! We're so grateful. The cost of her initial visit which includes her 2nd dose of vaccinations was $140 with the New Client discount that they were offering. He said the routine physical was extremely thorough and Dr. Brown gave her vaccination without her noticing... so awesome! Shout out to the cheesy lick mat too! They were also kind enough to give us her flea & tick medication as a chewable, first one free - courtesy of the clinic They gave great & insightful recommendations to her feeding regimen as we had questions about starting Raw Diet, well as general hygiene with product recommendations that were pocket-friendly too. They said another puppy just came in with salmonella from Raw Diet so advised us to keep the kibble with some added supplements for the extra nutrition.. great idea! We were recently seen here for our dog and referred for a surgery. The veterinarians themselves who have provided care have been great. This review is related to support staff, Missy. We needed the x-rays before we could schedule a surgery for our dog or even a consultation. We needed to follow up numerous times to receive all x-ray images. We understand that technical issues may arise and impact their ability to send all issues in one message. I had advised MISSY on my previous call that we were only receiving one at a time and would give her a call back if we had an outstanding photo. However, when we called to ensure we had all images MISSY responded with a rude condescending tone advising that she had sent them three times. MISSY was not kind, sympathetic or understanding that we were trying to have our dog receive the care she needed in a prompt manner. I told MISSY again we did not receive them and only received 2 of the 3. I asked MISSY not to be abrasive with me because I was just trying to obtain the images to send to the surgeon vet so a consult can be scheduled. MISSY agreed to send them again and hung up the phone. This call left me in tears as I was just trying to get the x-ray images to schedule my dogs surgery. It is an amazing animal hospital run by a team of people who actually love animals and want to make sure humans have what they need to take good care of them. Dr Hoffman helped me make the choice when it was time to say goodbye to my cat Niban. She treated him like her own. There is no one else I would have trusted. The fees are reasonable for a full service hospital and while there are less expensive options, I would only want to use them. The staff is nice enough but they are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and really seem to want to suck the money out of you. For example... our adult cat developed aural hematoma out of nowhere. Indoor cat, usually has no problems. Hoffman drained the ear several times refusing to listen to me when I knew what had to be done (we experienced this in another cat and were educated on the problem) and then said the operation was going to be an excess of $500. RIDICULOUS! So we went to Bay Hills Animal Hospital in Arnold instead. MUCH better. Friendly staff that seemed to be more knowledgeable about animals than Hoffman. Operation cost? $55 read more

I cannot say enough good things about Hoffman Animal Hospital and the staff that work there! I've been a pet owner my entire life and have never seen the same quality of care, customer service, or genuine passion from any other veterinary office that I've been to. I trust all of the advise they give me and am very pleased with all aspects of the facility (it is by far the cleanest vet office in the world). I have been taking my older dog and my cat here for over 3 years and they both are in better health now than they were then. Recently my fiancé and I adopted another dog - a rescue named Ollie. Ollie has several medical issues (understatement) but Dr. Hoffman and Dr. Davis have been so proactive in helping me to get him back to a healthy state (including physically, behaviorally, and mentally). They show genuine concern for him and his improvement and have gone above and beyond several times (even offering to drive him home to my house after a procedure if I couldn't pick him up!) In reference to the complaint of price in one of the other reviews that I read - Hoffman Animal Hospital is not the cheapest vet around. That said, they are not unreasonable and honestly, you get what you pay for. My pets are my family and I'd never bargain hunt for their medical care. I highly recommend this clinic to any pet-parents out there who want the best for their animals. read more

Dr. Wheeler is why we drive 30 mins to get to HAH. She listens thoughtfully to concerns, informs thoroughly, and goes out of her way for the care of your pet and your family. She's everything a vet should be - intelligent / a thoughtful problem solver and advocate / caring. The staff is wonderful as well and the daycare program is our Scottie's home away from home. We took our two cats there for a few years. They are very healthy and never required any additional care besides keeping their shots updated. About a month and a half ago we adopted a kitten from a shelter that needed more care than anticipated due to upper respiratory infection, lack of appetite, and a few other concerns. The kitten was seen at Hoffman over three visits in about five days due to the upper respiratory infection - she had already become a frequent visitor there. During her fourth appointment a few weeks after those first three, which was supposed to be a routine exam and vaccinations, we told them about our concerns - an itchy/flaky rash/spot on the back of her head, and ear contamination. They gave us medicine for an ear infection and noted the flaky spot behind her ear, but did not do any further testing of it - this rash ended up being a highly contagious ringworm infection that got me and seems to have infected our other two cats. I feel that this could have been avoided to some degree if patient zero - our new kitten - had been diagnosed and treated earlier. The worst part about it is how we were trying to set up yet another appointment to have this rash fully diagnosed and there was just a series of miscommunications and lack of coordination in trying to do so. I felt like they didn't want own up to their oversight, and were trying to somehow blame me for everything when my cat had four appointments with them already and yet they did not take the time to diagnose this in the first place. I recommend taking your pets somewhere else for care. read more

Dr. Hoffman & staff truly deserve a huge thank you for responding to our pet Dallas when he fell ill. They were tremendous fitting him into their schedule, patiently explained our diagnoses, and the outcome. Dr. Hoffman brought her little dog in to comfort us knowing we were having to say "goodbye" to our sweet Dallas. They prepped the room w/ lavender to keep him calm, very gentle in treatment as well. I firmly believe people show their best when things are at their worst. Our dog was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and eventually euthanized at Hoffman. As difficult as that was emotionally, I couldn't be happier with the way the entire staff handled our dog's treatment, care and eventual departure from this world.
