Absolute worst dentist office around. They still have pictures of the staff from 4 years ago. None of them are still there. If you see a dentist, that one won't be there in 6 months. They change staff faster than I change clothes. They quote you one price then charge you several hundred more. Replaced one crown and ruined the one above it. Had to then replace both and they are disasters!. Emergency call center is a joke! This is a big corporation owned office and nobody gives a crap! I asked for my dental records. Got the run around. Finally offered to give me a copy of my last x rays for a large fee! That's not my records! I would never recommend them even to my wotst enemy read more

Horrible since they change management. I got charged for something that i didn't even get done and after months of fighting with them i gave up and just paid it. a week later i got a call from them saying i never paid, and now they have debt collectors calling me, after i paid and i have shown proof. Every time the front desk people call and i explain what happened they say they will fix it on there end, just for me to get another call a week later. This company is just trying to scam you. They just want to get you in and out up charge services (which i didn't even know the dentist can do)! There staff is constantly changing too read more

Dr. Simpson is a great dentist, I followed him to this office from Westmont, he is that good. This office was remodeled, along with a new staff, who are strange and don't know about billing. Long story short, they kept sending me bills for $197, and my EOB was $147. I emailed Dr. Simpson directly, and he and Cari went over my statements and sent an email saying that I only owed $147. I sent a check for that amount. The know-nothings in charge of the billing kept sending statements for $53, saying I still owed that money. When asked why, they were stammering about prior balances but not what for. Dr. Simpson stopped answering me, obviously he has no control over office staff. When I went item by item down my bill I found five "adjustments" adding up to more than $400 had been added to my bill. I questioned that but was never answered. They have since sent the $53 they claim I owe to a collection agency. Check your statements, folks! They are dishonest. When you have the dentist saying he has one foot out the door because this is their usual MO and he's only there on Wednesdays, that should tell you a lot. read more

I highly recommend this group. Dr Zach and all of the staff are outstanding! They definitely go above and beyond. They understand what outstanding customer service is and work very hard to insure you are comfortable and well cared for. Dr Zach is the best. He never makes you feel rushed, explains very clearly what needs to be done, what the best course of treatment is , what your options are, and insures that you are as comfortable as possible. Be aware, they overcharged me and will not refund me. My younger son had a standard procedure performed in November, and the receptionist asked me to pay $321.60 at that time. Later, I was informed that I only owed $114.40, meaning that I was owed back $207.20. I have reached out to Hoffman Smiles multiple times by phone over the last few months, asking them to refund me the $207.20, and they continue to brush off the situation saying that they emailed the responsible party. Four months later, and Hoffman Smiles still owes me $207.20, and not only have they not taken action to refund this to me, but it seems they are unable to process a refund to a patient. No issues with the medical service received. read more

I've been coming to this location since I was a small child in the 80's back when it was a private practice. Sadly those days are long gone. When Dr. Woldman retired and sold the practice its been nothing but downhill. I've literally had about 5 different dentists in the last 5 years. So you can ignore any good past reviews about Dr. Simpson, Dr. Zach, Dr. Beti, etc...they are all long gone! I just received an email on Sept 9th 2024 that now there's yet another new dentist, a Dr. Wahba. Beti is now gone and I saw her ONCE! This location appears to now be just a training ground for dentists to establish themselves and leave for greener pastures. I was literally told by my hygienist on my last visit after I asked why there is so much turnover here, she literally said " Because its corporate owned the good ones leave after they realize they can make better money elsewhere". That really opened my eyes! So that's all you need to know about the quality dental care you will receive here. If the dentist you get is there longer than a year its likely they may not be a very good one. After 40+ years of going here I must sadly find a new place. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We've had ok dental treatment here, but the billing is a mess, and at this point it's downright theft. My wife has dual insurance, and in March she got a crown here. According to Cigna, their contracted price is $755, and they paid Hoffman Smiles $453. After all was done, she should have owed $302. Then the claim was sent to Delta Dental. Their contracted amount for a crown is $1,070. Even though all she owed was $302, they sent Hoffman smiles a fat check for $633. So why are we getting bills every month for $197? For a crown that shouldn't have cost more than $1,070 according to Delta Dental, they were already paid $1,086. (Not to mention that each insurance paid half of the allowed amount). Who is doing the books here???? Also, my daughter had work done in April. They wanted payment in advance, they estimated it would be $1,000 after insurance. I paid $300 in advance, and the actual balance turned out to be $700. Watch your wallets. read more

Run from this practice. In my opinion they are potentially dangerous. My mom went for a cleaning there and ended up with an infection so bad that it affected her pacemaker. I had an implant crown reattached, they used too much cement which caused my gum getting infected and diseased. It's been a long process recovering from the terrible dental work they did to me. And on top of it, they lost all of my dental records, or just refuse to give them to me. Run away!! read more

Since new management, this office has made a painful experience to the dentist excruciating ...that's just trying to weed through their useless call screening call center. I have used Hoffman and Dr. Darren Simpson for years. He's only at this office once in a great while to fill in. Since he left, many of the office staff has left as well. They were customer service oriented. The new people, no. You are a patient # with a dollar sign on your head. Well...this patient will not be having an all on 5 done through this office due to the changes. That's about 16 THOUSAND dollars in business from 1 patient. When I call the office in Hoffman now, the phone is answered in Florida by the rudest group of people ever to work a call center. (Thank GOD they don't work a suicide prevention hotline!) They cut you off mid sentence, then ask you questions that you already answered. Pardon the pun, but it is like pulling teeth to get through. It took 3 calls, and asking specifically for the office manager to get an appointment. Bad form, Hoffman office. You should change your name to Hoffman Frowns. I will be moving my dental care elsewhere. If it's an emergency, call a friend, drink a bottle of whiskey and have them pull the tooth with pliers. It will be less painful. read more

I had such a great experience at Hoffman Smiles. I am from Chicago and my mother lives in the area. Even though I live far from the location, this will be my primary dentist. I was so impressed with their customer service and the staff made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Zach was great and was very smart and explained everything in detail. The dental assistant was excellent too. She has such a warm personality and was so nice. Plus the office has a very modern feel and the front desk staff was nice. She's always sounds happy over the phone with the outmost respect if i ever need anything, smiling every time i walk in to get my teeth cleaned she's just phenomenal. I needed help with finding the right dental office to help with my nagging front tooth with calcium build up and i must say i definitely left with a smile that day. Dr.Darren was very funny and also made the visit upmost enjoyable with the jokes he provides while I'm getting my teeth cleaned. Don't believe their free consultation deal because they will pressure you to get $180 X-rays and then charge you for the consultation anyway. I was told on Thursday March 14th they would call my insurance and call me back with a quote for my procedure on Thursday March 21. They did not call me. I called them on Friday and someone told me they couldn't help me and to call back on monday. I called on Monday and asked the receptionist why she didn't call me back Thursday and she replied "That's not how insurance companies work.. Why didn't you call on friday?" Ibdid call and wasn't given any answers. Then they tell me it will be $600 and I have to pay it all up front.. they gave a 24yr old 3 days to get $600 together. I decided on laughing gas instead of iv sedation. Then they called me less than 4 hours before my surgery to tell me that the doctor will only work on me if I get IV sedation, then they even tried to get me to move up my appointment 2-3 hours... You aren't supposed to eay, drink or smoke 8-12 hours before getting sedated. You need more than 3.5 hours to prepare for a procedure like that. They were completely unprofessional and when I told them that how they handled this entire situation was wrong they canceled on me. I worked on my off day to get today off and opened up a new credit card just so I could afford this surgery that they are now declining to give me. read more
