Went there for emergency tooth pain and was told "if you have a large lump of money to spend" go get 8 of my teeth pulled by a surgeon and have a good day. They did not go over my X-rays, did not go over which teeth needed to be pulled or WHY. They will not do anything but make you feel terrible about your mouth. I went to another office after this terrible experience and was told how we can actually save teeth instead of just ripping them all out. The billing department is horrible! Nothing but problems for a couple years. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I'm done. Appointment at the end of June and paid $90 towards a cavity waiting to pay the rest after it was submitted to insurance. First week in November I was sent to collections for an unpaid bill! Never even receiving a bill in the first place. Of course they claimed they sent bills and had nothing else to say. Extremely upsetting coming from a place you've been going to for years and also spent a few thousand on their orthodontist side. Never missing payment before. Very sad. ABC Dentistry is not a bad place. They have a huge waiting area filled with different activities for the kids to do. My boys love playing there. Aside from one of the dentists, who I feel is always in a hurry and not very attentive to her patients, the rest of the staff is very nice. The problem is with how they bill you. They recommend procedures like it's no big deal, yet they fail to tell you that these procedures come with hidden costs and you have to pay out of pocket for all that "insurance hasn't covered." Their billing department also does not budge on the amount owed. They are relentless. I have had this problem with them for a few years now, with two different insurance companies. I'd be very careful and double check before agreeing to any kind of dental work with them. read more

When I go to service places like dentists, doctors, allergists, I usually focus in on those that are able to (1) perform their duty well in terms of finding cavities, fixing problems, etc. (2) customer service, and (3) the ability to communicate well. ABC Dentistry gets high marks on all levels! They are a dentist practice that is focused on all age groups (great for the kids and great for adults). I came here in February after just moving up to the area and got myself a chipped tooth. On a whim, I gave this place a shot and Dr. Kordell was able to fix my chipped tooth and explain to me the problem very clearly (what area had chipped, the challenge it presented, etc.) I LOVE my dentist hygienist Pam! Not only do I think she does a good job at cleaning and doing the normal 6 month cleaning checkup, but she's awesome at communicating potential problems (ie: areas to improve on flossing, what tooth brush to use and why to use it, areas that have problems that may develop, and even how improve dryness in the mouth while asleep). It's not just the solutions she gives, but the ability to communicate it well that I love! ABC Dentistry is very transparent in terms of cost. They'll give you a quote and let you know what it is. They communicate well with your insurance as well and help you to find the right solutions for your place in life (ie: braces or not, timeline of when to get it, etc.). They have fairly up-to-date technology. They use a lot of digital images now and computers to record patient history. I'm a big fan of it. I even brought in some x-rays from a past dentist and they took it by email which I thought was super awesome! In terms of cost, they might not be the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for. They are very customer-service oriented which I appreciate. If you're looking for a dentist in the area, I'd definitely give it a try! read more

Amazing. We took my 2 year old to see the testing for a checkup and cleaning. Our two year old fights us when we brush her teeth and it usually ends in tears. On top of that her 2 year check up at the doctors office was filled with crying to the point where we couldn't even weigh her. We expected more of the same for a dental check up. But there is something about ABC Dentistry that made our child feel easier. The dentist (Dr. Hill-Cordell) and her assistant were very friendly and very patient. My daughter relaxed in my wifes arms as they checked and cleaned her teeth. Done in 10 minutes. No tears. The building looks very new and has lots of fun things for our child to do while she is waiting. They even designed the rooms very well and made them very open (which probably helped my daughter feel NOT trapped. All in all a great experience. read more

Let me start out by saying that the front desk staff is so extremely rude and unhelpful. They are all like robots and don't listen to what you say. This is not my first time being treated rudely by them - its like the 3rd or 4th. I have spoken to the front office manager once about their rudeness but nothing has changed. Then when its time to make the next appointment the only times they have are like 2 months out and only during school hours as they don't work any nights or weekends!! When it comes to ortho visits their visits should be only be 4-6 weeks apart! My child doesn't want to wait months to get their braces off and be fitted for a retainer!! They clearly have too much business and do not care about their customers as they cannot even offer appointments in the correct timeframe to fit their ortho clients. read more

We all go to here for our dentistry. The adult dentists are great-very thorough and knowledgeable in their practice. My kids see the peds dentists and they are every bit as wonderful. The entire staff-from scheduling to billing to the clinical team are all friendly and kind. They just added a therapy dog who literally turned my daughter's experience around in about five seconds once they brought the dog out. Best dentistry place for kids! My six year old son loves Dr. B and her staff. He feels very comfortable in the colorful, funny looking office. Recently he didn't even mind having cavity filled. Ok, so I am willing to admit that I am not always adamant about keeping up with dental visits, but In my defense I have moved to different parts of the country 3 times in the last several years. With that being said, don't be like me and blow it off. If you do, you may wind up having to go through what I did. This included a series of 4 different dental visits spanning about 2 months for scaling and root planning for my gums (which they call "deep cleaning" which sounds less threatening) and to get fillings for a couple of cavities I had. I decided upon ABC based upon the recommendation of a coworker, and all things considered I think it turned out to be a good choice. I dealt with a dental hygienist named Juan for my "deep cleaning" procedures. This guy cracked me up. He had a really upbeat and enjoyable personality, but that did not detract one iota from his attention to detail while doing his job. What it did accomplish was to make me less fixated on the fact that he was thrusting needles and dental instruments into my mouth. The procedure was done in two visits with each lasting about an hour. It was honestly not nearly as bad as I was expecting. They numb up your gums with this gel substance before using the needles full of happy juice to numb you. You can honestly hardly feel the needle at all after this, but you can always just close your eyes if need be. My mouth was numb for a solid 3 hours or so afterwards. I had to hop on a conference call at work later one afternoon after leaving ABC and I am sure I probably sounded like I had Down Syndrome trying to talk buiz when half my face was numb. My last and most recent appointment was to have the fillings done and this was handled by Dr. Hainds. She was also quite delightful to deal with and explained the entire process beforehand and put me at ease. I have never had a cavity before, so I did not know what to expect, but the fillings were honestly a cake walk. I was out of there within 45 min. Here again, they use the gel to numb the area first and then come in with the dope laced needle which numbs the hell out of you Tony Montana style. I made sure to have them add email and snail mail reminders every 6 months for cleanings so I do not have to go through a similar process again, but my experience at ABC was great so I plan to continue to use them in the future. read more

Here is what my experience was: We had gone to fill my child's tooth cavities and the total cost was well over $2300, out of I was asked to pay $750+ out of pocket. Unfortunately, I did research after the fact and realized I could have got the exact same procedures done for less than half the cost. The doctor had conveniently suggested that we split it up over 3 sessions and the total cost ended up being much higher (only realized this once we got the final bill) We had given our insurance and were told that they accept it -- later realized that we would be charged out of network rates. Tried talking to the office manager (Maranda Rice) about this and she was not ready to budge at all. Very unprofessional and out to fleece people. read more

If you're looking for a Dr. with a great personality and an excellent bedside manner, keep looking. Dr. John Cordell is not it. His unfortunate demeanor sends a direct message to his patients that he is merely doing them a favor by seeing them. I have some previous dental experience that the Dr. is not aware of. After posing a question about the procedure that my young daughter was having, he impatiently gave us a five minute ultimatum to discuss it and then stormed out of the room like a pediatric patient throwing a tantrum. He's the poster example for reasons why people don't like going to the dentist. On the plus side the pedidontists in this practice are wonderful. read more

Dr Hill was thoughtful and compassionate, giving great advice while we were figuring out what to do with our mini crisis during a Covid 19 shelter in place order. When a full course of antibiotics failed to completely resolve some terrible pain for my son, Dr Hill had us come in for an extraction. Dr Hill and her daughter worked as a team- decked out in quarantine gear- and they led the whole process smoothly and efficiently. My 6yr old had been to several different dentists but never could get any work done because he has yet to out grow his big nerves. When he once again started to have a meltdown, Dr Hill stayed calm and focused. She allowed me to come near and help mitigate his nerves and swiftly completed the extraction. This was the first time my son lost a tooth and he was quite pleased after it was all done. He is now home, just a few hours after the extraction, dancing to PJ Mask soundtrack via one of his best buddies, Alexa. I highly recommend Dr Hill. read more

My kids LOVE going to the dentist. They certainly don't get that from me. We moved and it now takes us about 40 minutes to get to the dentist but we do it because these gals and guys here are AWESOME!! My kids always get excited when I tell them their appointments are coming up. My son (5) barely gets out of the chair before his sister (2) is climbing up for her turn. I highly recommend Dr. B. From the super cool office decor and amenities to the amazingly friendly staff, this place is the best hands down. My children have been patients here for probably a decade but we will not be returning again. Today they kept me waiting 45 minutes for an appointment for my 3 year old special needs child. Six months ago, they kept me waiting 30 minutes for an appointment for the same child. I only went back today to give them one more chance but I will not make the same mistake again. They are obviously overbooking their appointments and not being considerate of their clients' time. I did get an apology from a couple of the staff members but did not appreciate getting very condescending "advice" from the dentist about how I should really make early morning appointments for young children. Rather than giving unsolicited advice and trying to pass blame onto your patients, maybe your office should be respectful of people's time and not make them wait 45 minutes for a 10 minute office visit? Orthodontics service is abysmal, rude , unprofessional and ill-trained staff (a technician struggle to assemble a 3 piece plastic mouth piece then placed into my child's mouth incorrectly assembled - dangerous, ignorance and apathy only to be corrected by another staff member when she could not get equipment to work properly. They use cheapest low quality appliances for orthodontic treatment barely attached them to your child's teeth flash them with a heat light 2-3 seconds only to have them loosen a few days later while eating pasta then when you return to the office for repair they want to chastise your child for eating the wrong foods. Do yourself a favor an go elsewhere for Orthodontic care. read more

My family just started going to ABC Dentistry, but so far both my husband and almost 3 year old son have had great experiences! My husband absolutely hates going to the dentist and I was hopeful that by trying a new place it would get him to stick to regular appointments. When he came home from his first visit he had nothing but good things to say and he really enjoyed Dr. Cordell! I just took my son in this morning for his first dentist appointment ever! From walking in & out it was a great experience! Dr. B & Barb did great asking me questions and if I had any concerns about how my son would do. I also loved how they explained each step of what would happen to my son. He did such an amazing job and I attribute that to the time they took to make him comfortable. He got a new tooth brush, stickers and a toy which of course he loved! Dr. B even complimented me on how healthy his teeth and gums look which was nice as I always feel like dentists are always trying to get you to do a better job and there is never a compliment in there so that was nice to hear :) I go in for a cleaning next week so I'm excited to experience the "adult" side as well! Also when I first made our appointments the staff did a great job at explaining insurance coverage as they are considered out of network for us. They had no problem giving me all of the billing codes to double check with my insurance for coverage so there would be no surprise charges! They are so sneaky and misleading to get the patients into the door, they mislead me that they take my insurance in spite of me asking many times and they said was ok, then I discovered they were not in network but they were lying to get me in. When I raised the issue to the office manager she handled the issue very poorly and was answering in a very unprofessional way. If you choose this office make sure you check with the insurance exact benefits before you go to their office since they are not honest up front. I have three kids: 11, 9 and 7. They love to go to this place. This is a well oiled machine that takes care of every aspect of child's experience. Doctors and nurses are good, fast, professional and I am very happy as a parent. The environment and child experiences are where I think this practice excels. Decorations, colors, prizes, process of choosing toothpaste and brush, patience they show towards the kids. They are truly first class.
