They have a huge variety of options and flavors of ice-cream, as well as homemade truffles and candies and all sorts of treats. I love coming here for ice-cream to support a small business as opposed to a chain option. Everything is always delicious, and the staff are always really friendly. For over forty years this chocolate empire has been slinging hand-crafted treats and providing those chocolate covered strawberry gift baskets to customers throughout the South Florida region including an array of ice cream flavors. Hoffman's direct local competitor (a few doors down) is definitely Kilwins which provides an unmatched inviting fresh chocolate bakery demonstration view from the outside window. The strong scent of chocolate as we walked by the wedged opened front door would excite any chocolate enthusiast including me. Those small chocolate egg nog balls layered with sprinkles really satisfied my sweet tooth for about an hour. I was staying at the Riverside Hotel across the street (Las Olas Blvd) before getting on a cruise around the Caribbean and wandered into this small chocolate shop. Whoa, the truffles looked divine. I ended up getting a waffle cone with two scoops of Jamoca Almond Fudge ($10) on my first visit and two boxes of truffles ($50) on a subsequent visit. My only issue was the place didn't open on time on the 2nd visit so I had to keep coming back. Also, there seemed to be constant turnover in staff; the person that helped me on Dec. 17 left the store and a new person helped me on Jan. 7. I'll definitely stop by when I return to Ft. I'm so happy there's a great spot to satisfy my sweet tooth craving in this area because I feel like there weren't too many options for desserts in Fort Lauderdale. In an ideal location, Hof's House of Sweets is right on the corner with a paid lot behind the strip it's located on. The shop itself is so fun with decor and the menu is easy to navigate, although it is so hard to choose what you could be in the mood for. I love their boozy shakes but they pretty sweet, so it's ideal for sharing. Their ice cream flavors have a wide variety so there is something to truly please everyone. They also have a good selection of chocolates. I know they used to carry my absolute favorite- chocolate covered gummy bears, although I didn't see it last visit. I loved having this new(ish) option on Las Olas. Well, new to me! Located right by The Cheesecake Factory, it's situated perfectly. They have a fun, whimsical environment with couches and games that make it inviting. The games were definitely nostalgic and brought me back to childhood. When you walked in, they offered samples of a few treats, which was nice to get a little taste. I just wanted ice cream on this visit, but they have everything from chocolate to pretzels, caramel apples, boozy treats, and waffles. I decided to go with the waffle sundae since it was apparently waffle week. I got the peanut butter cup and butterscotch ice cream, both of which were creamy and delicious. For $15 and change, it was enough to share for 2 people. It came with a waffle, 2 scoops of ice cream, 2 toppings and whipped cream, yum! It was nice to try this spot. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving recommendations, the atmosphere brought you back to childhood and the prices, not that bad considering it's on Las Olas. We're officially fans! It's a big of a drive and paying for parking is not fun, but the ice cream at Hof's is legit. I came here for an elite event and immediately knew I had to come back with my wife. We finally made it back last weekend. Two guys manned the counter and were super patient with us. I quickly decided on cookies and cream and went for a milkshake since it was about to be my first meal of the day. It was the perfect consistency. They even give you a fatter, boba tea type straw. Wife got a medium cup and got to choose 3 scoops. She was very happy with her double duche de leche and cookie dough. The only fault of this place is probably seating. I had not been here since they converted the store from Hoffman's to Hoff's House of Sweets. I came for an art event in which the artist was there and several of his pieces were on display. They've done a nice job converting the space into one where you can hang out for a little bit and eat your ice cream, there's now a couch and chairs as well as games to play. In addition to their own chocolates and ice cream they are now selling wines and other brands of chocolates and sweets. I love their ice cream and that's usually what I come for. Hoffman's is a sweet South Florida success story. They first opened in 1975 in downtown Lake Worth. In the late 1980's they moved to Greenacres where they opened both a store and a chocolate factory. They hold a lot of events at this location and it is always decorated beautifully at the holidays for its Winter Wonderland Event. In addition to the Greenacres store there are several retail locations around south Florida. Besides chocolates, ice cream and milkshakes are sold at all Hoffman's locations. My friend and I stopped in to check out Hoffman's newest iteration called Hof's House of Sweets during the Las Olas Art Fair, Hof's is located on East Las Olas Boulevard next to what is to be the new 28 million dollar Tunnel Top Park. In September of 2022 they transformed with a new name and a lounge concept selling Belgian waffles, wine, specialty and beer milkshakes, ice cream, dipped pretzel rods, and chocolates that are made at the factory in Greenacres as well as sourced locally and internationally. This is an experimental spin off for Hoffman's. It is meant to be a fusion of art, music, and pop culture. According to Jarett Levan, President of Hoffman's parent company "We believe the new dessert destination is a place where people will want to hang out and connect through a love of sweets, music, and art. We are excited to bring our decadent sweets and treats to Las Olas and welcome guests to the Hof's living room." I enjoyed the more modern makeover and lounge vibe but it is still the same high quality sweets Hoffman is beloved for. Also the art was a nice addition to the store. While we looked around we were offered a sample of the Mexican hot chocolate. The packaged chocolates looked especially appealing and I will be back for some next time I need a gift. read more

11-25-23 Saturday evening 7:30pm The first time I was introduced to this place was through a Yelp Event. It was so delicious and unique I had to return back quickly. Once inside you take a look at all the chocolates behind the case lines and ice cream and you want everything. So I ask the nice person behind the counter for the same as we had at the Event. Except instead of three, get my favorite one which was the mango with the strawberry syrup whipped cream and spicy topping. For hubby I got some chocolate turtles and chocolate covered toffee to bring him. Unfortunately he wasn't with us so I wanted him to enjoy this delicious experience as well. We sat and ate our ice creams in the comfortable seating area towards the front of the store. They have retro toys to play with and is very colorfully decorated. This was my go to spot whenever I visited Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, Last night I visited the establishment and asked for the raisin cluster and was given the cluster of nuts, which I'm allergic to. I ran back and told the manager who gave me my money back but when I called the next day to talk about the situation he was very much so on the defense and claimed that I was never given the nuts. All I wanted to do was talk to and say that they should be very careful due to people's situation. Came in on a Thursday night for ice cream with the family. I tried the special ice cream flight that was part of a event that they were promoting. I loved the red velvet with espresso Sunday. My husband loved the apple pie one. And my kids loved the traditional chocolate ice cream. The service was fantastic when I was there and they have a few other sweets like truffles. First off I would like to say that the manager Addison and Logan were amazing. Soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and given a great explanation of the items featured. We even got to try some of the candies they offered. I was so hooked I ordered the chamoy peach rings( don't tell my Orthodonist) they were amazing. I first tried the mango tango one which I was really excited about. The mango sorbet was so delicious and with how hot it's been these days it was much needed. My second and favorite had to be the apple pie, it was soooo rich and had actual apple pie chunks in it. I'm still dreaming about this one. I didn't realize that the other float option was actually a adffogato which I had never had before. The expresso surprised me, it was good but def a strong one. I will for sure be back to try some other items. Pro tip there isn't much space inside and make sure they you make time to find parking but after dinner this was such a great sweet treat. I just discovered Hof's ice cream about a few years ago and it was life changing lol, it is no doubt one of the best ice creams in south Florida. I use to like the old location, very old school, their chocolate is also amazing and service always attentive. Just about the other day we stoped by las Olas to discover they had moved to another location and to our surprise it was remodeled, hip and cool and with another name and twist with a Cafe' and also new fun Milkshakes and ice cream desserts. Wonderful little shop for all things ice cream & sweets! This space is clean, organized, and inviting. Tonight we came in to try their sundae flight which consisted of 3 pre selected sundaes- Mango Tango Tajin, Red Velvet Nespresso, and the apple sundae. We had just eaten a huge dinner down the street and had asked if we could have our flight to go so that we could eat it later at home, which they happily did for us. Service here was wonderful. The flavors of this flight were a bit too complex for my personal liking (lots of different flavors happening in each sundae), however my boyfriend really enjoyed them. On my next visit, I'll probably stick to one of the more classic options that they offer. I'd also like to mention that this spot offers a cute sitting area up front complete with a few games you can play while eating (I believe I saw connect 4, and a few others). It was Halloween and one of my coworkers told me to check out the lobby of our work building. Turns out the building did a collaboration with Hoffman's Chocolates for the holiday and it was candy central downstairs. There were tables full of candy. Cookies, candy apples, even some rice krispy treats. I have no idea how much their assortment of sweets normally is, but what I was tried was pretty hearty. Mind you, I limited myself to a rice krispy treat bar smattered in chocolate and a gourmet candy apple (that admittedly probably is rotten by now as I let it sit there because it was too pretty to eat). The rice krispy treat bar I luckily had the foresight to refrigerate and it's been keeping well. I imagine that from here until next year I'll finish it. If I don't or it loses its taste, at least this is relatively nearby that I can get another one. Obviously not Halloween-themed, but you get the idea. How's that for no boos? read more

I stopped by this place at the end of the day. The staff were spraying horrible smelling Lysol on the glass cases before closing up. I bought some candy and brought it home. The candy tasted like the chemical spray! Why in the world do you need strong chemical sprays in a candy shop? don't you realize that those chemicals get into the food! A single scoop was $5.95 which is kind of pricey for a scoop but not if you have a hot fudge sundae! I had a butterscotch flavored ice cream with loads of hot fudge and toasted almonds. Almond Jitterbug: Surprisingly my favorite of the jitterbugs. Something about how nicely roasted the almonds were. And they're big. So a good hardy crunch against the caramel and milk chocolate. Cashew Jitterbug: I really like cashews so was looking forward to this one, but it was just ok. The cashews were mainly in halves, not wholes, so they felt kinda clumped together. And they weren't heavily roasted. Pecan Jitterbug: The classic turtle basically. What you've come to expect. I think their caramel is especially nice. Chocolate Covered Pretzel: I was told this is one of their more popular items. It was a medium-sized pretzel with a thick milk chocolate coating. After dinner, my family and I was searching for a place to where we could grab something sweet. As we were walking around Fort Lauderdale, we happen to see this quaint shop call HOF's. As we walked in, I liked how the shop was playing, some good music, plus they had different games laid out with nice lounge chairs so you can enjoy your dessert while playing, and a wall decorated with different albums and album covers. This shop has not only a plethora of ice cream flavors, they have lots of different chocolates, candy, and coffee options. The employees of the shops were very helpful by helping us navigate through the menu, especially since this was our first time here, and there was a lot to choose from. My cousins ordered vanilla milkshakes and vanilla ice cream cone with sprinkles. They said the vanilla very smooth and creamy, and wasn't overly sweet to where the ice cream was very enjoyable. I ordered the Oreo-ohh shake which was divine. The rim of the cup is covered in chocolate icing with Oreo crumbles packed to it. Then the milkshake is a thick Oreo milkshake with pieces of Oreo cookies. Finally on top of the shake was a white chocolate, covered pretzel and a fudge covered chocolate Oreo. I loved every bit of that shake. I was yearning for more when I finished it lol. We went in to get some ice cream after brunch yesterday and the seating is one big table where a family of about 15 occupied. They were not eating ice cream and the store clerks didn't say anything to them. So, we had to stand to eat our ice cream. Their previous seating of seats and settees was a better option. I ordered the banana and it was okay; wouldn't order it again. The path to the restroom was awkward as there were boxes and the area just looked unkept. Their specialty is the uniqueness of putting ice cream on cookies or brownies or waffles or whatever else you desire, and then letting you top it with basically anything. They had coffee and liquor infused products, too. They were nearly out of stuff, like a couple of ice cream flavors and pastries, at peak hours on a Sunday, which just seems like poor planning. They also had only one person working, and while they did their best, it would have clearly been faster and better for business if they had an extra person working. By the time the last person in my group of four got their dessert, the first two people were already done. Also, I didn't love the way my cookie ice cream sandwich was packaged (although warming the cookies was a nice touch). The paper lining in the box made it difficult to eat the ice cream, as a lot of it got caught in the folds as it melted and I couldn't eat it.
