In case you don't want to read my review. $15 per tent with…read more2 people $25 for canoes that fit 3 people $7-10 for wood? Owners and employees are awesome, and the River next to the campsite is beautiful. It was a busy weekend in Ocala considering a virus was spreading. Every camp site in the national park was booked. That did not stop my friends and I from looking. We ended up finding Bronson's camp which was an hour and a half away from from where we were, But this camping was happening one way or another. When we arrived we were sketched out, this place is in the middle of nowhere in central Florida. You see crazy sh** in the movies, so anything becomes scary right. Anyhow, we come across this beautiful river which we ended up camping next to. We are so happy to have discovered this gem. The owners were welcoming, kind, and patient. The employees were fun, one hung out with us for a bit. The people around the camp were super nice. The river was pretty, the way the trees hovered and the dock with two mean ducks haha. Canoes were available for rent ($25) which I would of taken if I hadn't been to intoxicated. It's $15 per tent (2person). Cheap compared most campgrounds. The bathrooms are not luxurious but if you spent time outdoors it's not something that matters. My night here was unforgettable, no one shut us up, there was 14 of us and it was late at night, so please be respectful and modest. I don't want this beautiful place to become over regulated because a couple of stupid people. Anyway, thank you so much! Will definitely come back. BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY, I did not get bit with it on

This is the view from our camper. The orange tent in the pic is at the point of the property where tents can camp right on the river front.

Sometimes I wonder if seasonal residents of communities in Florida post bad reviews so there will…read morebe space for them to stay every year. Red Oaks has a lot of returning "winterbirds" (I call them). Snowbirds from the midwest and northeast tend to favor this park. I'm from the mid-Atlantic area and RV full time. I moved to a spot here to be closer to my son and his new family (two-under-two grandbabies, and his wife who is from this town). There are a lot of activities in the wintertime, and in summer, the pools are refreshing for sure. Bushnell is a very quiet cattle/horse ranch type of community, so there is very little nearby in the way of entertainment. Are there busy bodies here (like one reviewer stated)? Probably... every community has a mixture of personalities and this is no exception. Is it an enjoyable place to stay? Yes, mostly. It has a lot of amenities, an Activities Director and a lot of volunteers who keep the place lively, three pools, and two dog parks. Pool yoga, cardio drumming, dances, live music, karaoke, baseball 'corn hole', regular corn hole, BYOB events, organized Thanksgiving and Christmas pot lucks, Bingo and Card Bingo, cards, woodshop, wood carving (chainsaw style), pickle ball, shuffle board, movie nights, and more. Is it reasonably priced? Depends on who you ask, what SunRV super deal they got in on (or didn't), and whether they are here for a few weeks, a couple months, a season, or a year or more. And park model pads cost more than grassy spots.

The new manager is a nightmare! Beware if you sign anything! If she likes you -hey you are ok... If…read moreshe doesn't she ll get you tossed out and then black ball you at other campgrounds! She has no managerial experience-she is never available and double talks! so if you like that kind of atmosphere go for it! Oh and she nickels and dimes you. She is conveniently unavailable at all times. She was even overheard saying she would never live in this park as if this park is disgusting. If SUN communities reada this, please send her back through training. She needs customer service skills, people, skills, and manners. ---

I love this park but only get to come here once a week it has great trails(except for all the woops) and a small fun track but unfortunately i don't want to come back usually staff is really kind an good but today they were disrespectful and rude to not only me but my dog, as i was accused of sneaking in my dog prior (as if i dident ask the guard shack if it was ok.. which they did approve i just couldn't leave her for more than 30 minutes which I'm fine with i usually ride track anyway) i have been to a plethora of other parks in Florida all allowing me and my service animal no question, if you are in the same boat as me i recommend bonevally mx its a little further but they don't bash you for having a service animal and have a way better track that is better maintained and more jumps! this ruined my week dont let it ruin yours

This is Mecca for anyone who owns an ATV or dirt bike…read more Acres and acres of trail-laced forest. Sand bowls full of jumps and tracks. Ravines. Campgrounds for the pitch-a-tent and RVers a like. A comfort station (bathrooms w/ showers) for you tent people. (Trust me, you need it... I can smell you from here.) There is just no place like it. TIP*** For those of you who prefer a Holiday INN, there is one right at the entrance of the park. HOWEVER, ever since someone was killed on the main entrance (being stupid and racing up the middle) they don't let you ride in, you have to tow your ATV/Dirtbike in. Going 15 miles an hour on a bumpy dirt road for miles can take a while.
