This is my first time back in here to them since the new renovation and new management. Food is good for what I got come check them out. I will ALWAYS MISS RUDY.

Just some of the menus inside.

Family is visiting for the night and wanted an easy, non-chain, quality Jersey lunch, so I placed a call to Hogback. and we ordered: a salad with blue cheese on the side; a liverwurst on rye; a "Brooklyn" Reuben; a cheese lover's panini; and a chicken caprese panini. Oh and a couple of chicken fingers for my 4 year old nephew. The food was not bad at all, although the fries are battered which I'm not a fan of. None of the family had any complaints and the salad was HUGE with quality black olives and lots of nice looking romaine. I don't like liverwurst or corned beef but family said it was good. The chicken cutlet was...a chicken cutlet. Nicely pounded out. My cheese lover's panini was nice and gooey and the pesto within served as a delightful complement. The main issue I have here is the courtesy of the staff. When I walked in to pick up the order, the man behind the counter failed to acknowledge me for a good 2-3 minutes. Staring at his phone I guess? Very welcoming... Then someone else (receipt says Kait) came with the food and rang me up. She couldn't have looked more miserable. Their website says that you get a free bag of chips with a $40 order, we were spending almost $60! When I asked about the chips, she just said "oh yeah I think that's online only." Geez, sorry I called in my order! How un-millennial of me! What nerve I have! Perhaps they didn't like my NY sport team apparel? I have no idea, but Hogback Deli would be a 4 star venue if they just treated their paying customers like humans. The foods pretty good, none of us got sick anyway. Prices aren't cheap, especially on the junk food. Receipt wasn't itemized so I think I also got screwed buying chips marked 2 for $6. Didn't have time to bring this up with a hungry traveling family waiting for us to bring back sustenance, and I doubt the staff would've cared anyway. As others have said, it's easy to miss, it's JUST before crosswicks creek and the Mercer county line on the right if you're on 130 north. Once you find the deli, don't expect to find good customer service or nice staff, but you will find pretty good food.

Their hoagies are awesome! Just make sure you are feeding multiple people if you get the full size!! Always fresh ingredients and friendly service, I just wish they were a little closer.

Let's just say we definitely ate with our eyes not our stomach when we finally visited Hogback Deli. The jumbo whole is enough for a day's worth of food or more for two people. And don't worry if it's just you, the hoagie will taste just as good the next day. We came in with an empty stomach and were only able to finish a quarter of our Italian hoagie. I mean, look at the amount of meat that's packed in these. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a change of pace from your usual Wawa. This was everything we could have asked for for an Italian hoagie. Next time, we'll definitely go for the regular size (:

Don't drive too fast you will miss it. My mother gave me a piece of her #5 hogie then the next day I drove 20 minutes o get my own it was wonderful. Was unsure about the size. When the employee brought it out and I saw how big it was I was shocked. The bread fresh and good, not expensive. They have an extensive menu, so I plan on coming back for more.

Frankly, I'm a little shocked that there are any negative comments about this place, AT ALL. I was already grateful to live in NJ, even before I discovered the Hogback (about a year ago), but now? I can't even imagine moving away, because what would I do then? Suffer. I would suffer without the Hogback Deli. Food, in general, is wonderful; genius pairings and complex dishes are one of life's real treats, but the basics - like a good sub - provide structure and comfort, and here in New Jersey, we're fortunate to have so many very decent sub shops to choose from. I recall when the first Subway came to town, and I made the mistake of giving them a shot; the disappointment and disgust are still fresh, 20-some-odd years later, with their scant meat, and sawdust bread. No wonder that icky guy lost weight! Even Wawa makes a better sandwich than Subway - Wawa's are serviceable; and it's a novelty to be able to order on the computer, and get coffee and gas while the sandwich is getting made. Maybe if Subway offered other services I'd be able to forgive their abysmal product...but probably not, because NJ is the Land of Plenty when it comes to proper sub sandwiches. But this review is not about lame and mediocre establishments. It's not even about a good one. It's about the best of the best. The Hogback makes a sandwich the way sandwiches should be made: high quality bread (I like the sesame seeds), and filled with meat, cheese, and your extras. I usually order a half -- and the first time I did this, it seemed like a lot to pay for a half a sandwich (it was around $9, I think). But, the end result is approximately 17 pounds, and the size of a running back's thigh, and is possibly packed with as much meat. You'll get 3 meals out of their half sub, easily. The Hogback uses premium Thumann's meat, and their loaves are perfectly golden on the outside, and nice and airy on the inside, giving you that ideal chewiness: just enough to exert some effort, but not to the point of savagery. The menu is vast: loaded with typical convenience foods. You can get a warm sandwich (like a cheesesteak) or a cold one, and probably a half dozen other to-go items. You can also purchase the cold cuts, by weight, as you would at the grocery store, as well as the bread, and they've got plenty of chips, drinks, coffee, and snacks to grab, too. It is business-only in the Hogback: order your sandwich and move to the side; staff is pleasant without being overly friendly (which is fine by me). There is no idle chitchat: everyone is drooling for their sub. The only bad thing I can say about the Hogback is that I wish I had discovered it sooner. There is no reason to go anywhere else.

Hogback Deli is a little tricky to find, but it is worth the effort. There are many very good to excellent sandwich shops/delis in the Hamilton/Yardville area, and this is one of them. A small shop with a big menu all around the walls. There are Boar's Head decals around, but I am not certain they are the sole distributor here. I ordered one of their special hoagies (#4) - Turkey, Swiss, Bacon, Cole Slaw on the long roll. Even the so called, "Mini," is enough for two lunches. They use quality bread, and their creation was tasty and satisfying. Truth be told, refrigerating the uneaten half until the next day did not preserve the remains as well as desired, and the second chance was a shadow of its former self. While Hogback (named for the road it is on, not the source of the food) is not quite at the level of my favorite, Little King, it is still a worthy contributor to my lunch cycle.

Sure, the prices are a little higher, but the amount of meat and cheese inside a sub is well worth it.

Laurel, NJ for our wedding day.  A bit a research and abundantly positive Google and Yelp reviews brought me to Foodwerx Catering.  Along with their catering packages, Foodwerx offered the services of a day of coordinator, Roxanne.       Going with Foodwerx and utilizing the services of Roxanne was the best decision we made regarding our wedding day.  Roxanne's attention to detail, planning, timeline management, coordination of vendors, communication, vast experience, aesthetic, logistical expertise, and most importantly, warm and kind heart are everything a couple needs to ensure that their wedding event exceeds every expectation.  Every bump in the road or unexpected turn of events was handled calmly, promptly, and professionally.  Adding additional décor flourish to our reception area; she handled it.  Adjusting our timeline to ensure that our photographers got cake cutting shots before our contractual end time; she handled it.  Last minute realization that a generator was needed for the outdoor kitchen; she handled it. Simply put, she worked magic at every turn to ensure that we had the best day possible.     Now, the food.  There are almost no words for how incredibly the food was prepared, served, and how much our guests enjoyed.  Our families are not easy to please when it comes to food. Therefore, cookie cutter lukewarm generic wedding food was NOT AN OPTION for our day. Foodwerx surpassed all expectations by providing food that was scratch made on site, served hot and fresh, and was unbelievably flavorful and delicious.  I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for all of Roxanne and Foodwerx's tireless efforts.  Bottom line, if you are looking for an exemplary culinary and wedding day coordinating experience, look no further than Foodwerx!!

The only reason I didn't make this a five out of five was that I felt that it was very limited on the happy hour menu and wind up spending a lot more than I anticipated because we ordered off the regular menu in addition to just the hot wings and I'm not even sure if I drink choices. The beers were on the happy hour unless it was like two or three on tap so that was a little bothersome for me. It was hard to sort of follow what is and what Isn't but I think we'll give it a fair. Try one another time when Fifa games are not going on. We did order wings off the happy hour menu, but then from the regular menu I had the sesame tuna tacos instead of fries which I hate I had brussels sprouts but again there's an up charge to do that. My wife had the half cheesesteak she added sautéed peppers she added a chipotle. Aïoli and she also swapped out tater tots for whatever the fried choice was but everything was at an up charge. Food was tasty was good but again like I said I was coming for happy hour and I felt like I wasn't happy with the hour.
