Quite possibly the worst Americano I have had in quite awhile. She was using a double shot…read moreportafilter and had two small "pitchers" under it. She let the shot run and poured the pitchers into my cup. Then she placed the pitchers back under the portafilter and let them fill again and dumped them in and then replaced them to catch more of the weakened bitter fluid that was dripping from the portafilter. At this point I asked how long the machine was going to run water through the coffee. She replied "Until I tell it to stop" to which I said "Please tell it to stop." I hate to be "that guy" and didn't want to tell her how to do her job but it seemed like no one else had done it previously. I have had coffee from Kahwa before, although it was the Sarasota location, and it was never like this. This was worse than the bitter swill that you get at Starbucks. I hope this was an isolated incident but I fear that she honestly thought that was how to draw an espresso shot. Hopefully management can provide some training.

My husband switched to buying his whole bean coffees from them, and he's very happy with their selection. They carry Guatemalan, Ethiopian (my two faves), and several others.
