Hog's Head is one of my favorite bars which is located inside the Three Broomsticks at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is located inside Universal Orlando Island's of Adventure. I do think this can be confused with the restaurant and how to actually get there. Hog's Head is actually separate from the restaurant. There is a separate entrance, separate lines as well. This is just a bar, they do not sell any food here. However, the restaurant is next door and easily accessible if you want to grab a drink and then go get food. The bar is themed to Harry Potter, and if you are a fan you will love it. If you have never seen the movies or read the books, you can still enjoy the bar. Their options here are limited, with them just having beer, ciders, a couple of cocktails and the famous butter beers. I believe they only do the frozen here. If you wanted a different version I think you need to go to a different place. I personally prefer getting butter beer here as opposed to the carts, since the line is so much shorter. It is also a bar, so the bartenders know how to keep the line moving quickly! You are able to also purchase the butter beer in the souvenir goblets. My wife and I do enjoy coming here, I love their beers and it really is always a stop when we are in the park. Their vibes are kind of dark and gloomy but completely themed to Harry Potter. The last time we visited, my wife was not feeling a beer and we really only knew of a long island cocktail which she does like. I was speaking with the bartender and she suggested a vodka based drink with lemonade and Prickly Pear. I ordered this for my wife but since she was sitting outside I could not take both drinks. However, the bartender was very sweet, let me order both, and she just had my wife step inside. When she went in, it was ready and she just handed it over to. It was very nice! She didn't have to wait in the line. This was a great drink, one she said she would order over and over. Overall, I think you need to add this to your list. Hog's Head is the bar located inside the Three Broomsticks at The Wizarding World in Universal Orlando Island's of Adventure. It was the first of the Harry Potter dining areas as it opened at Island's first. People tend to get confused, but this is the bar side. You do not have to eat in the restaurant to come here, it has a separate line as well as a separate door. They do not actually serve food here, only drinks. It is very much themed to Harry Potter. If you have read the books or seen the movies, this is what you might envision when you think of the local pubs that Harry goes to with his friends. Their options are very limited, just having beers, ciders one or two cocktails and the famous butter beers. I personally enjoy coming here over the carts for Butterbeer. The line moves faster since it is bartenders and they know how to keep it moving. They also serve the souvenir goblets if you are looking for those. My husband and I love coming here for a drink. The vibes are dark and really brings us into the movies and books. We love it. We will usually grab a beer or cider. On our last visit here, we discovered there were some cocktails. I knew about a Long Island version which I am not a fan but this time, my husband asked if there was anything else she could make. She offered a cocktail with Vodka, Prickly Pear and Lemonade. She was super sweet as well and let him order mine even though I was outside, but I had to just go in and pick it up myself. They do not allow one person to take 2 drinks away with them. However, she had it ready and when I went in, she was easily able to just hand it over to me. It was actually delicious. The prickly pear was fantastic and mixed with the lemonade, really really good. She did not know the name of it but said if we asked for the lemonade prickly pear, everyone would know what we wanted. This will for sure be a drink I will get over and over. Overall, I will say, you should add this to your list. They have great drinks, fun vibes, talking heads behind the bar and great team members. We really love this spot and I think everyone should check it out. You might actually miss it, if you are not looking for it. Ah, the Hogs Head- named for its decor of a literal magical moving Hogs Head right behind the register at the bar. This dark and stoic bar is located in Hogsmeade Village at Islands of Adventure, right next to the Three Broomsticks restaurant. It's actually one of the few places to get a hot butter beer for those rare chilly Florida days. You can get regular butterbeer as well of course, but I wouldn't recommend getting it here as it's more expensive. I think they add a tip for the bartenders on- sogst your regular butterbeer at the stands outside. As this is a bar, you can get other alcoholic offerings: beer, wine, mixed drinks and then water of course. Also, ask the bartender if the hog can say hi. Trust me. read more

Hog's Head Pub: Although I've never been a fan of the Harry Potter (HP) films, the books have captured my imagination since I was a kid. Since the first mention of butterbeer nearly 27 years ago in "Prisoner of Azkaban" (1999) I've dreamt of chugging my own mug of the magical drink. In the HP universe, butterbeer was served cold in bottles as well as hot in "foaming tankards". In both the fictional universe and at Universal Studios Florida, the drink can be purchased at the Three Broomsticks, the Hog's Head Pub, and the Leaky Cauldron. I ordered my brew from the Hog's Head as I thought the bar area with the mounted hog's head would make for a nice photo op. It wasn't a long wait in line, and the bar tender was friendly (and yes, it did make for some nice pictures). The fictional drink's recipe contains a slight amount of alcohol that humans could tolerate without becoming drunk, but that was powerful enough to intoxicate a house elf. Sadly, for those above 21 (and luckily for those under), Universal's recipe does not contain any alcohol. For my first ever tasting, I went with the chilled version (hot and frozen are also available). To my delight, this was much more than a butterscotch flavored soda. In fact, it's not fizzy, so soda is a poor comparison. Texturally, it's also slightly thicker than a standard liquid and is incredibly creamy. That cream is what astounded me most as it did not immediately vanish but remained for the entirety of my consumption (which was a good 25-30 minutes). Butterbeer's flavor profile is comprised of butterscotch with hints of shortbread. The drink is sweet, but not to the point of being sickly. Honestly, I planned on buying it once for the picture opportunities and figured it would be a one and done. It cast such a spell over me though that I plan on continuing to purchase it on all my future visits. Biggest surprise of my visit in terms of food expectations. We were so happy they were still serving drinks so close to closing time and that it was not busy at all. Kayla was so NICE!!! Best team member there!!! The pumpkin Juice tasted like autumn in a cup. The best part about this place is just the general experience of going, as it feels like it's pulled right out of the films. It's basically a Long Island: Vodka Gin Rum Tequila Mixed with sour mix & raspberry iced tea I asked for mine unsweetened so it didn't just taste like sugar. We loved the Butterbeer at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. Hog's Head is one of the places you can get it. This is a bar located in the village of Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure. It's connected to the restaurant Three Broomsticks. According to the Harry Potter Wiki, "[t]he Hog's Head Inn was a slightly disreputable inn and pub in the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade. It was located one or two streets off of the High Street, the Hog's Head Inn was a fixture of Hogsmeade for several years. A lot of people asked me, "What does Butterbeer taste like?" The menus at Universal describe it as "a non-alcoholic sweet drink reminiscent of shortbread and butterscotch, served in a souvenir cup." I agree with that description and would add that, to me, drinking a Butterbeer is like drinking an extra-sweet and rich cream soda with a thick, creamy top. It's unique and delicious. I ended up having two regular Butterbeers and one Hot Butterbeer in one afternoon. Admittedly, I was sick of Butterbeer by the end of the third one. However, as I write this review, I'm craving more. My wife and I prefer the regular, cold, iced Butterbeer over the hot Butterbeer. While my wife didn't like the hot Butterbeer at all, I liked it, just not as much as the cold version. The hot version isn't carbonated, but it still has the same sweet, yummy flavor and rich, creamy texture. It's similar to other hot creamy beverages. There's also a third version, which is frozen. We paid $25 plus $4 tip, $29 total, for two regular Butterbeers ($8.99 each) and one Pumpkin Fizz ($5.49) at Hog's Head. That total price includes Orlando's 6.5% sales tax rate. We charged it to our room at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando, which had a $100 Universal theme park credit (eligible in-park purchases only; a benefit of the American Express Platinum Card). Surprisingly, we weren't able to use all of our credit in one day. I guess we should have had more Butterbeer. The Pumpkin Fizz is tasty too. It's another cold carbonated beverage, a refreshing pumpkin soda. It's sweet, but not too sweet and not as sweet as Butterbeer. It's also not as thick as Butterbeer. My wife described it as a cross between apple cider and pumpkin puree, with carbonation. Earlier in the day, she had Pumpkin Juice ($5.49) from Three Broomsticks. I didn't try it. She said it tasted exactly like the Pumpkin Fizz, but without bubbles. The service at Hog's Head was great. One of our friends is lactose intolerant. She asked for non-dairy Butterbeer. Non-dairy Butterbeer is an option across the Wizarding World. However, when it was our turn to order, we found out from the bartender that the non-dairy version could only be purchased on the other side of the tavern at Three Broomsticks. Not wanting to get into another line at Three Broomsticks, our friend took some Lactaid and dealt with it. I'm giving this place a 3 because the theming is so good!!! But the food is just not. The beef pasties are pretty good, just a bit salty. But everything else was the quality of 1990's hospital food. The soup was a standout horror for me. It was supposedly potato and leek, which if made even typically is amazing. But this was nothing more that barely flavored water. It was just awful. I added so much salt and pepper to it to make it taste like anything because I was starving. The lemonade is definitely not lemonade, it's neon green chemicals. Don't order that! The iced tea was Nestea so that was fine. The "roasted" vegetables were actually steamed, mushy and flavorless as well. Maybe the other food is good? I really don't know? So I wanted this ButterBeer that everyone keeps talking about but the lines were outrageous. I stumbled into Hogs Head Pub and saw a line one person deep with what looked like interesting beers. I walked closer and realized they had Butter Beer. A women in line told me they had frozen Butter Beer and recommended that. Not even two minutes later I was walking away with a frozen Butter Beer in a nice air conditioned spot. The bar tender was also nice enough to point me in the direction of a table near an outlet so I could charge my phone (the outlets are painted the same color as the wall so they are hard to spot). If you're a Harry Potter fan, you have to stop by here. Every time we go, there's a line out the door. The line actually moves pretty fast. The place is dark and truly reminded me of THE Hog's Head while reading the series. Love that there really is a hog's head hanging behind the bar; apparently it moves and makes noises occasionally but I haven't seen it myself yet. There's no menu but the bartenders will make anything you want. I wish they had a cocktail list that I can choose from. Of course, the price is super expensive but that is normal for this type of environment. In the book, it's a dive bar but here, they don't do dive bar prices lol. The bartender were always nice. Only one drink per ID, we ordered a drink and a shot, we had to take the shot before we left the establishment. They have outdoor seating in the back as well as inside. However, the Wizarding World has two speciality beers: Hogs Head Brew and Dragon Scale. They are both delicious! Dragon Scale is more of an IPA flavor so keep that in mind. For the kiddos, Hogs Head serves cold butterbeer, frozen butterbeer and hot butter beer. The hot version is only available from November until March. You can also purchase a collectible mug. You'll get butterbeer for $4.99 instead of $8.99 using the mug. The ambiance is quaint and warm. A hidden little pub in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure. I was here with my boyfriend and we wanted to get a drink I had to ask an employee where we could find beer. It's connected to the Three Broomsticks dining hall, but there's a separate entrance. The sign out front isn't too big, but if it were the line would probably be much longer. There's a good selection of beers on tap as well as liquor and the famous butter beer. The selection includes the Harry Potter beers wizards brew, dragon scale a hogs head brew that you can only get at this location. There are also a few other familiar English beers like Boddington pub ale and Guinness. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. They explained to us the different beers and let us sample a few. We decided to go with the hogs head brew. It was good, but I usually prefer something a bit lighter, so for our second round I went with a Boddington. The beers are around $9 each, but that's pretty much standard pricing for any beer at a theme park and I definitely prefer the atmosphere here compared to another general beer stand in the park! read more

I stopped in briefly here just to take a look around and gander at the menu. It has a nice authentic feel to it and you are almost certain that Hagrid or maybe even a dark wizard will come through the door at any moment. It's dimly lit with a long bar and several wooden tables for dining. The atmosphere definitely gives a seedy feeling which is just perfect for how this place is described in the books and depicted in the movies. The big hogs head on the wall only adds additional legitimacy to this place. I was already pretty full from the leaky cauldron so I didn't order anything, but they have about 10 items to choose from and naturally you can get butterbeer and some other fun alcoholic drinks here. I love this place! I feel like I dived head first into one of J.K. Rowling's books. The ambience is great and the bartenders are always super friendly. They have their own exclusive beer on tap, Hog's Brew, which is an amber lager. It is sooooo good! I've also heard through the grapevine that they serve warm butter beer in the colder months. This is in the Harry Potter section of Islands of Adventure, and it was a great 'quick service type option' at the theme park. The food was far better than the standard quick service, but had plain options for my kids. I had the rotisserie chicken and a hogs brew. We all had corn on the cob as a side. Food was great! My favorite part of this place - which will sound silly - was that they had hosts that pointed/walked you to an empty table, and cleaned up after you. Compared to the standard Disney quick-service (where you search/fight for a table), this was amazing. I was alone with my two kids so the fact that someone helped me find a table and cleaned it up (and I could have a beer with dinner) - was such a pleasant experience. No pictures because we were that hungry but we got the feast that fed four people per the menu and split in a group of 6 with a side of soup and fish & chips. This was a delicious filling meal, chicken was my favorite with potatoes. This is the perfect place for Muggles that want to get their buzz on and are bummed that Butterbeer is non-alcoholic. I happen to be a Muggle that relishes that Butterbeer is non-alcoholic but I can understand how some people need a shot of firewhiskey to take the edge off. You can also visit the pub to check out the cool animatronic Hog's Head behind the bar. Especially on those days when Ginny is going through magic mood swings and Harry's kids decided it would be funny to slip some Puking Pastilles they got from the Weasley twins into his treacle pudding. Word of advice: avoid the lines if you're looking to just fill up on Butterbeer because the adjoining Three Broomsticks restaurant is faster.
