Hoi Polloi is just one part of the wineroom called "Double Trouble". Incredible wine, epic live music Fridays and Saturdays without a cover charge, and a super warm and cozy ambiance both inside and out on the patio. During the day, the wine-tenders provide an intimate wine experience and at night-- it's a party that you don't want to miss! If you can catch the winemakers, they are super friendly and knowledgeable and the entire staff is so warm and accommodating. It's like going wine tasting up the central coast without leaving the SCV. Whether you are novice or a connoisseur, they will absolutely take care of you. My family became wine members 3 years ago and we are so happy with the experience thus far. Comedy nights on Thursdays once a month, live music Fridays and Saturdays, and free tastings every time you go in if you're a member. Can't beat it! Having a local wineroom that provides central-coast wines is an absolute dream. Definitely try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

WHAT A COOL PLACE TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS !! Downtown Newhall isn't what it used to be, they're made it beautiful for the holidays & this place Double Trouble is a blast. Great selection of their own wines that they handle & have bands on the weekends. We came to see the group All Access & the place was packed & people even dancing.... at a wine bar !!! We shared & finished a bottle of their Pinot Noir that was delicious! Probably best to join their wine club to get better pricing, but we were first timers. They don't handle food, so we brought our own Charcuterie & it worked out fine. Plenty of street parking & a public lot just a block away.

Not being a wine drinker is no reason not to bring friends here. Have been here twice with the cribbage players, who do enjoy wine, and loved it. Friendly comfortable ambiance combined with nice music. It's a regular venue for us now.

Hidden gem in the the heart of downtown Newhall!! No snotty wine drinkers allowed at this rustic tasting room pouring top notch California wines.

Great place to enjoy great wine! Two great wineries came together from Paso Robles & Santa Ynez...the service is great with the winery owners giving great conversation about the different wines

The host person she was amazing and friendly and I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's been there for a long. Your wines are good little pricey for my taste for the options you get of mostly just red's or for what you get. I wish you had a better variety of whites. Anyways, we got in there. We sat on the couch in the front unfortunately for us. It was the only day we can come and they had a Christmas in July thing going on in the streets. Unfortunate for me as I've had a knee replacement and we drove around for 30 minutes trying to even find a parking spot to get in there cause we had to pick up our wines with the subscriptions /membership that we had. My daughter and her friend were there and enjoy their selves immensely so with all the hype that she was telling me about this place I was excited to go, but like I said, unfortunately, you were having Christmas in July nothing but screaming kids running around and the streets were packed... not what I wanted for a relaxing environment. But once we got into the establishment, like I said, we sat on the couch we started to have our tasting. It was peaceful and quiet and then all of a sudden these family start walking in with all their kids and it became a romper room. This is a winery. This is a place that adults go to relax shouldn't have children running under foot while you're trying to taste wines or just relax. That was the biggest disappointment I have with this place is that you allow children to run around I will not return. I'd rather go to a wine where I can relax... Again, the girl that waited on us absolutely amazing. She gets five stars. The fact that she let children and all this ruckus in there three star.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

I was a wine club member for a year, I've paid and attended a couple of special events, checked out their outdoor vending market, and love coming by just to relax for a glass of wine. The wine itself is excellent, and the ladies behind the counter are always incredibly kind and informative. The grounds are mostly nice, and I do love visiting the animals in the back. Here are a few areas that fall short for me: Like I said, I've attended a couple of paid events here. And while the dessert vendor is absolutely delicious, the boxed sandwiches provided are disappointing and practically inedible. It's surprising they continue to use the same sandwich caterer for events. The outdoor middle area is so unattractive. Can't they do anything nicer than wood chips and bark? As a vendor myself, I wouldn't ever want to join their market events. Instead of placing booths and tables along the pretty and easy to walk perimeter, the vendors set up in this field of wood chips, which makes it an awkward setup for both the vendors and shoppers. Steve, the general manager, is incredibly nice and charismatic during events. However, on regular random visiting days, I've found him to be unfriendly and even somewhat rude. It's really odd and a disappointing contrast to his event persona. So overall, it's (mostly) a pretty spot with great wine and excellent front counter staff. Wish I could give it five stars. Pam, Sales Director - Private Events, and Laura, Private Event Services Manager, were truly one of the best teams I have ever worked with. I've been organizing banquets and events for many years at a variety of venues, and they stand out at the very top. They were professional, responsive, detail oriented, and genuinely invested in making our event special. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and they anticipated needs before we even had to ask. They truly elevated our banquet to another level for our deserving coaches, families, and players. Amanda, the banquet captain, and her team also did an amazing job the night of the event. They were attentive, organized, and kept everything running smoothly. The room looked beautiful, service was seamless, and the entire evening felt polished and well executed. The food was also really good, which honestly can be a question mark when you're serving a large buffet to a huge crowd. You just never know what the quality will be like in those situations. The Oaks Club absolutely delivered. The food was fresh, well prepared, and plentiful, and we received many compliments from the guests. That said, I do want to share one concern. Another sports team from our school, which does not have a booster club and therefore must process payments through the school district and school account, ran into an issue during the contracting process. Instead of the club's legal counsel contacting the school district directly to discuss his concerns, he chose to insert his own revised verbiage into the contract. Understandably, the school district was not comfortable with those changes, and unfortunately the banquet arrangements fell through as a result. The team then had to scramble to find another location that would sign the contract according to district requirements. It was disappointing, especially since this could have likely been resolved through direct communication. Ultimately, it felt like a big loss for The Oaks Club on a weekday night over what seemed to be a few negotiable wording adjustments. If the legal counsel hopes to bring in future business from local high school teams, he needs to figure out a smoother process for these contract situations. While our event itself was a success and we're very grateful to Pam, Laura, Amanda, and the entire team for their efforts, I hope future situations involving school issued payments are handled with clearer communication and collaboration with the appropriate parties. Thank you Pam, Laura and team!  You guys are the best!
