Hoi Polloi is just one part of the wineroom called "Double Trouble". Incredible wine, epic live music Fridays and Saturdays without a cover charge, and a super warm and cozy ambiance both inside and out on the patio. During the day, the wine-tenders provide an intimate wine experience and at night-- it's a party that you don't want to miss! If you can catch the winemakers, they are super friendly and knowledgeable and the entire staff is so warm and accommodating. It's like going wine tasting up the central coast without leaving the SCV. Whether you are novice or a connoisseur, they will absolutely take care of you. My family became wine members 3 years ago and we are so happy with the experience thus far. Comedy nights on Thursdays once a month, live music Fridays and Saturdays, and free tastings every time you go in if you're a member. Can't beat it! Having a local wineroom that provides central-coast wines is an absolute dream. Definitely try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

WHAT A COOL PLACE TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS !! Downtown Newhall isn't what it used to be, they're made it beautiful for the holidays & this place Double Trouble is a blast. Great selection of their own wines that they handle & have bands on the weekends. We came to see the group All Access & the place was packed & people even dancing.... at a wine bar !!! We shared & finished a bottle of their Pinot Noir that was delicious! Probably best to join their wine club to get better pricing, but we were first timers. They don't handle food, so we brought our own Charcuterie & it worked out fine. Plenty of street parking & a public lot just a block away.

Not being a wine drinker is no reason not to bring friends here. Have been here twice with the cribbage players, who do enjoy wine, and loved it. Friendly comfortable ambiance combined with nice music. It's a regular venue for us now.

Hidden gem in the the heart of downtown Newhall!! No snotty wine drinkers allowed at this rustic tasting room pouring top notch California wines.

Great place to enjoy great wine! Two great wineries came together from Paso Robles & Santa Ynez...the service is great with the winery owners giving great conversation about the different wines

The host person she was amazing and friendly and I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's been there for a long. Your wines are good little pricey for my taste for the options you get of mostly just red's or for what you get. I wish you had a better variety of whites. Anyways, we got in there. We sat on the couch in the front unfortunately for us. It was the only day we can come and they had a Christmas in July thing going on in the streets. Unfortunate for me as I've had a knee replacement and we drove around for 30 minutes trying to even find a parking spot to get in there cause we had to pick up our wines with the subscriptions /membership that we had. My daughter and her friend were there and enjoy their selves immensely so with all the hype that she was telling me about this place I was excited to go, but like I said, unfortunately, you were having Christmas in July nothing but screaming kids running around and the streets were packed... not what I wanted for a relaxing environment. But once we got into the establishment, like I said, we sat on the couch we started to have our tasting. It was peaceful and quiet and then all of a sudden these family start walking in with all their kids and it became a romper room. This is a winery. This is a place that adults go to relax shouldn't have children running under foot while you're trying to taste wines or just relax. That was the biggest disappointment I have with this place is that you allow children to run around I will not return. I'd rather go to a wine where I can relax... Again, the girl that waited on us absolutely amazing. She gets five stars. The fact that she let children and all this ruckus in there three star.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

They also have a cute little shop inside with snacks and gift options. I picked up some crackers and organic raspberry Red Vines, which was a fun little bonus. The downside for me was the tasting experience. Tastings are done at the counter, so we had to stand at the bar while tasting, even though there is plenty of beautiful seating throughout the property. There were three people working behind the bar. The two helpers were very kind, friendly, and seemed like they were learning the ropes. Unfortunately, the woman with the long black, curly/wavy hair seemed to be running the show, and her personality really put a damper on our experience. She came across as extremely cold and unwelcoming, and honestly looked like she didn't want to be there, girl looks miserable. We didn't stay after the tasting. I really like being able to relax and enjoy my time at a winery, and when the service feels unwelcoming, it takes away from the experience for me. I was there with two friends and was actually considering celebrating my birthday there, but I couldn't see myself spending more time in that atmosphere. So we decided to leave and head up the street to Reyes Winery...and honestly, I'm SO happy we did! If you're interested, head over to my Yelp and check out my review of Reyes Winery.
