We came to Reyes Winery after stopping at Agua Dulce Winery and having a less-than-fun experience, so we honestly weren't sure what to expect. But Reyes Winery completely turned things around for us! The drive in is beautiful. You take a dirt road that leads you into this gorgeous entrance with a water fountain surrounded by vines. It immediately gives you that peaceful, rustic winery feeling. When we walked into the tasting room, there were about 4-5 tables inside along with the bar. The gentleman working that day told us we could sit wherever we wanted and that he would bring the tasting to us. He was working alone and was clearly busy, so I was honestly surprised but very appreciative...that we could sit wherever we wanted and enjoy the view. My friends and I chose a table outside, and he brought us the tasting menu. Their wine tasting comes with 7 tastings, and I was really happy with the selection! What really made this experience special was the service. The gentleman helping us was absolutely wonderful...so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. He was younger and had long hair...I really wish I had gotten his name because he deserves the recognition, but unfortunately I completely forgot. He was handling everything by himself and somehow still managed to make everyone feel taken care of. He kept checking on us, making suggestions, and chatting with us throughout our visit. He found out it was my birthday and even surprised me with a complimentary glass of wine, which I thought was incredibly kind! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine so much that we ended up staying for about two hours. It was such a fun, relaxed experience, and before leaving, all three of us bought bottles to take home to support the business. Thank you so much for making our experience so wonderful, light, and fun! We will absolutely be returning the next time we're in the area. We stopped by on Father's Day. They had live music such as they did last year, as well. We just had such a wonderful time. All of the servers were amazing, friendly, and helpful. We especially loved Sergio, Sam, and Kaitlyn. The Reyes family made us feel very welcome. We got to meet the owner and his wife as well as various other family members. Of all the times passing by this property, we actually stopped in finally. The vineyard is beautiful. Just massive, everywhere you look it's rows and rows of vine's. The tasting room, which we only sat outside was ok. It's a couple of large round patio tables. We didn't have reservations and showed up so they sat us with another couple. Didn't have the tasting flight but opted for a bottle of the Syrah. The flight is actually quite nice. Price is very reasonable and there's a good amount of pour for you to try. Service was nice and everyone working was friendly. We never went inside so not sure what the tasting room or barrel room is like. What was quite cool was during our tasting, a group came in on their horses and had a bottle of wine while taking a break still on the horses. Service was great, beautiful view. I celebrated my 21st birthday here! I can tell you that it was a fun experience from having a tour around the vineyard and tasting their wine. Sergio who was there for every part of the event guided me and my family on how we can celebrate my 21st birthday. He was there providing great service to the guests and they were pleased to have him around. As it was my first time experiencing wine tasting, he took the time to explain the full process, from how they make wine, as well as how to properly open and pour wine. First time visiting Reyes Winery and we came on a Saturday afternoon. The grounds were very nice and it was a quaint but nice tasting room. The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant. We were very fortunate to have Sergio greet and serve us during our wine tasting. Sergio was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all the wines and the different wine pairings with food. He was personable and answered all our questions! As far as the wines were concerned, I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised! Normally our experience with wine tastings at wineries elicit maybe a few wines we like with the majority of wines in the ok to not like zone. Here at Reyes Winery, we liked every wine we tasted! Of course our degree of "like" varied, but we enjoyed each and every wine we tasted and thoroughly enjoyed our overall experience! As we were ending our tasting, the owner (Mr. Reyes) came out to greet the visitors remaining and spoke to all of us personally. He was very friendly and gracious for our visit and thanked us profusely for visiting. Made us feel like family. I use to be a member at this winery. I always loved the vibe of this small boutique winery and the wines. In the last year so much has changed. The wines went down in overall flavor. All the different types of wines started tasting exactly the same. The wines went up in price, the membership perks and events got progressively worse and worse. In the last year there has been two of their dogs lost to their negligence. I will say Sandra is the shining star of the winery, she has always been wonderful and a pleasure to speak with. I was previously a wine club member at Reyes for years, but have since canceled my membership. The main reason is customer service, along with some other issues I have experienced while visiting. I agree with a fellow reviewer and say that Sandra is the only friendly person here. So much greenery and beauty! 2 huge German Shepherds will greet you as you enter the little house. Very friendly! We only had a few minutes before close to try a couple of wines and grab our selected bottle of white. ($1.50 per taste) We were very appreciative of staff and their awesome attitude of being happy to have us despite their 5pm close. We left with a beautiful Muskat bottle. My husband and I stopped by here per the recommendation of Agua Dulce Winery's on our way back home. They have a small tasting room with a few seats and a bartop. They also have picnic tables out front that were covered with a canopy which overlooks their vineyards and is guarded by some cute German Shepherds. We got two wine tasting flights. They have an extensive wine selection which my husband and I took advantage of. We both selected different wines and shared the tastings to get more bang for our buck. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly which made the experience fun. We also opted for a cheese plate that was small but tasty nonetheless. We spent $41 for our experience. Can't recommend this place. They always let their dogs roam and they are often in the roadway of busy, 55 mph Sierra Hwy. Sadly their dogs have been and will continue to be hit and killed. Support them if you wish, but I won't support any business that neglects their animals. read more

Bought a voucher from Living Social. Went with my friend and this was a first for the both of us. When arriving we were kind of confused on what to do. But we are not afraid to ask questions. Beth was very informative. So we filled out a form with 5 wines on top and 2 on the bottom. They brought the cheese plate and started to bring out the tasting. I love the Chardonnay 12 and the Muscat 11. Great experience and would definitely go back. Got to learn some new things about wine that I've never heard of before. I came here with my girlfriend and her band who performed during an event. Reyes is a real quaint, wholesome winery great for a tasty selection of homemade and bottled wines. The flights had a good selection, and the tasting was relatively cheap. The serving size was a little conservative, but I suppose you don't go to a wine tasting to get crazy. The staff seems to know their product well, and they treat everyone with kindness like they're family. This place is great for a quick, small outing, but it lacks in atmosphere and a variety of activities. If you drive to the middle of the desert, it would be nice if they had just a bit more to offer.
