If you're needing a secure place to live and park, Capitol Place has both. Staff regularly roam the building (including parking, stairwells, etc) through the day and night to ensure everyone's safety. The condo is a very family friendly place to raise your children, and also a good place if you don't have kids. The gym with AC is really nice, and the equipment is kept clean. The kids play area is well maintained and is a safe spot for your keiki to run around. There is also an adjacent dog relief area that is serviced regularly to keep it clean. It's also in a good location in town - close to major businesses in downtown, and several hospitals. The easy freeway access is nice, and major grocery stores are nearby.

It's comforting to see so many owners also work for the complex, which adds a nice level of pride in what they do. Ownership includes storage for most water sport items like surfboards, SUP,s Kayaks and even a boat slip when available. Pool, hot tub, saunas, gym, BBQ, social room, and tons of private seating on multiple outdoor decks. I often worked remotely in the outdoor pool area. Ample tables/chairs and lounge chairs. Very clean. Exercise room had all the equipment necessary for a decent weight workout and bicycles for cardio. The counter and kitchen area in the party room is very nice sized, clean and an awesome ice maker!!! Grateful for Allen & Steve answering my questions and helping me search for housing. Hey there neighbor, here is an updated/most recent review on the Pearl Two Condominium!…read more Nicely tucked away from the main road, the Pearl Two Condominium is located at the top of Koauka Loop, right next to the Pearl Regency. This 33-floor condominium features 24/7 security, secured building access with a proximity key, a large pool with an in-pool jacuzzi, sauna, tennis court, cabana, BBQ area, a small child's playground, and ample visitor parking with 15 open stalls that are available to use by your guest; from the hours of 6:00a-2:00a. Upon entering the drive way, there is a 15min parking/loading zone area that will allow tenants to load or unload things from their vehicle, make quick trips to the condo, or move bulky items from 8:00a-4:00p - with prior notice to Resident Manager. The driveway then leads you to a concrete roundabout area, which allows others to be picked up or dropped off to the front entrance of the building. The building offers three elevators, one of which is a freight elevator to help with moving large/bulky items. During the late evenings, security will shut down the middle elevator, allowing tenants to use the freight and other elevator. Interestingly, at least one elevator, at any given time, will come to the ground floor and remain open until ready to be used or operated by a tenant or visitor. That way you're not always waiting for an elevator from the 26th or 33rd floor to come down. The upkeep and maintenance of this 1975 building is astonishing. Management hires a company to do monthly carpet cleaning throughout the building's hallways, which leads to little to almost zero bugs found. You'll find zero rubbish on the property, and the landscape is well maintained. Now for the house rules. Every condo or apartment you reside will always have house rules; some places stricter than others. One house rule that is most famous at Pearl Two, is the 5mph rule while driving in the garage. Separate from the condominium, the 5-floor garage offers an elevator that allows you to get to and from your parking stall. There are cameras in place that will clock your speed, for safety reasons. There is a 5-10mph speed limit. Once you go over 10mph, you will receive a ticket, posted on your front door. On a light note, other than the house rules (which is with any condo or building) they do allow you to reserve and "rent out" the pool area for private parties - up to 20 people. It's a little pricey in my opinion to rent out the pool & spa area, but it's a great way to have a party right at your own home.

I know they vacuumed all hallways twice or three times a week. I've seen few roaches in three years living there but not like the building next door. The parking garage is secured most of times. I have a couple of friends who live in this building. There's 8 guest stalls on the ground level and about 10 on the second floor - there's a turn right before the gates. Check in your car woth the front desk, as well as, the guest your visiting. Sometimes they ask and they know what number. Depending where the event is, the security will activate the elevator so you'll be able to press the button. Sometimes there is a glitch so you may have to go back to the security desk. 7th floor is where the activities are held. Cabanas, infinity pool, theater room, gym, yoga room, bbq areas, and much more. It's a great area to hold different functions. Great view of Ward area. It's a very relaxing area. Parking can be difficult some days. Since guest parking is limited, Kapiolani is the closest street parking. Weekdays and Saturdays opens at 630pm, Sundays and holidays open all day.

Rude, loud, and cooking disgusting smelling food stinking up the hallways. There was an old mama san drying her laundry on the pool deck bushes one day, just like back in The Old Country. Blows my mind how a "luxury Condominium" doesn't screen their tenants/owners. Trying to use the amenities on the weekend are a joke. Pools packed with all their extended family and friends just taking advantage of the building, bbq's, and dinning halls. I ended up moving to Waiea. Never been happier.

This what seems to be the standard condominium conveniently located just right outside of downtown is not what it seems, though invited as a guest I can't comment on the living conditions but know just from the amenities that it must be a lovely spot to call home. From what many will read of the security and how strict they are can be somehow frustrating though the need to feel safe should be the priority for many and though arriving as a first timer understanding the process really wasn't that complicated and actually appreciate knowing you can feel safe. Once I check with security and gave them the necessary information what's on the 8th floor was something that I've never expected to see as if I was transported to a location in Japan as it was a massive koi pond with several islands of grilling station with sinks with tennis courts and a huge party room that all seems to be sitting on the koi pond was just so impressive. The party room was quite large and seem to be able to hold 20-30 people quite easily with a kitchen area making it an amazing place to celebrate your occasion. Thank you for sharing this lovely place and what a cool vibe that I could've sat forever just chilling by the waterfall to unwind and relax after a long day, I'm so thankful to have enjoyed this opportunity with others. By far the worst rental company they discriminate against growing families claiming they only show…read moretheir properties to adults only after not showing up to their own showings only to call us 5 mins before the showing that their employee could not show up due to "COVID" symptoms Now let's be real on a normal day it still takes a half hour to drive from airport to university ave just because you had no explanation as to why no one else could show the property or at least call atleast! An half hour before to cancel is just unprofessional now you can't even rent to growing families cause you already started on the wrong foot that's just very petty. My wife and I were denied from seeing a home cause whoever was supposed to show us the unit was sick we were stood up at the unit only to be called 5 min before the viewing that no one would be able to show us the unit knowing well we had a newborn Child. That being said I wanted an explanation at to why we didn't get called ahead of time before the being to come on a later date? Now I'm being told that you property doesn't rent out to small families with children last I checked that's housing discrimination because I'm sure your not renting those units out to people over 62 so why not now? A community qualifies as housing for older persons and is exempt from the prohibition against familial status discrimination if: 1) HUD has determined that it is specifically designed for and occupied by elderly persons under a federal, state or local government program; 2) it is 100% occupied by persons 62 or older; Examples of familial status discrimination include: Refusing to rent to families with children.
