HHbM is truly so much more than a gym. When you see reviews that say Marisa changed their life…read more.. they mean it! Marisa has changed my outlook on fitness for the better. I used to use the gym as punishment to my body for looking the way I did. Now my mindset has completely shifted thanks to Marisa. I'm excited to go the gym because I GET to, because I have the CHOICE to. It's no longer a punishment, it is a badge of the hard things I can accomplish and the privilege I have to move my body. This outlook has truly changed my life, I choose this mindset every day in all aspects, and pass it along to whoever will listen. On top of that, HHbM is a community where we bond through events such as clothing drives, charity work, and good old fashion fun at a brewery on a Friday night! I am so grateful to be a part of HHbM!

HHbM Review/testimonial…read more I have been going to HHbM for about 6 months now and I absolutely am in love with everything about Marissa, the community she's created and my workouts at her gym. I did a ton of research before deciding on HHbM and it was the best decision hands down. I was quite happy with another gym I belonged to, however a change in my lifestyle and responsibilities changed and it was no longer a good fit for me. Since joining HHbM I've become stronger, remained extremely consistent, gained confidence, lost weight and have made friends that are part of the community she's created. Additionally, my life is constantly changing and I find myself away from my home frequently and I love I can join her virtual sessions and it feels like I'm amongst my workout buddies and at the gym. Marissa truly cares - one element of fitness I never truly grasped was the element of self care, with Marissa's help and motivation this has been a game changer for me. It's helped me not only drop 20 plus pounds, but improve my health significantly. At almost 65 years of ago, I'm the strongest, fittest and most confident version of myself. The fitness industry can be confusing and deceptive, but Marissa, the members and the health atmosphere at HHbM she's created is truly a rare find. She keeps her workouts challenging, different and educates you along the way. It's an atmosphere I look forward to at every workout and keeps me motivated to return and stay accountable.

First OT class and loved it! Jo was so nice at checkin, and she showed us around. Bathrooms,…read moreshower, lockers, and studio were all very clean and well maintained. Keaton did our first class; he was very friendly and helpful in correcting form and making sure we were okay (I was in the "red" zone often, so he seemed a bit worried for me). He also gave us a rundown before and after class of the machines/exercises, as well as our fitness numbers, and asked about our goals. I'd recommend this place!

I met the trainer. Her name was Anna or Riley. She was cool or whatever you know like she did the training it was for an hour they give you a heart monitor, which wasn't bad at all. I did it. I was tired. I sweated out everything that I did so I'm leaving and she's had like it was pretty cool. I liked it. It's like OK let's sign you up or whatever this is gonna be good for me since I'm signing you up. I was cool until I saw the prices which was $200 a month and she kept telling me it's self investment and was very pushy and I didn't like that at all when people are pushy it makes me lose interest real quickly, and she just kept persisting and persisting and persisting for me to join and I can tell that she was getting mad that I don't want to join at all so yeah, I'm never gonna join or ever coming here again

The equipment is in fantastic shape and the gym is always clean and organized. They have a fantastic variety of free weights and machines and can accommodate almost any type of training. As other reviewers have noted, the location is very convenient, there's dedicated parking, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Update after 2 years of working out here. Still *love* this gym. Wanted to add that I've been doing PT sessions (8x a month) with their personal trainers, Jeremy and Andrew. Can't recommend them enough! Both know their stuff, provide excellent feedback, support, and motivation, and something that didn't occur to me ahead of time - they help get the weights/exercises setup, which makes my time in the gym that much more efficient! The gym is going to continue adding new equipment, and they have some great plans for the future. I'm excited to see what comes.

I signed up for a consultation, then I went to visit the gym and decided it just wasn't going to be a good fit for me. "Coach Chelsea" or whoever is calling and constantly texting has been told to stop and she won't let up. She leaves incredibly weird texts and they DO NOT STOP hassling you. I've told them politely to stop calling and texting and they wont. I told them I would report them, and she still hasn't stopped. If people don't want to do your program, they don't want to do it. I don't get how they think it's okay to just harrass people into joining.

They have been open for just one week and were generating a lot of interest for personal training. I met with the owner/trainer, Chris Meredith and he gave me the overview and philosophy for his business. It's a very positive focus on assisting clients to attain their individual fitness goals in a peaceful, beautiful setting. He tailors his training to his client's individual needs and tastes from encouraging them to really "bringing it" and challenging them to blast past their own barriers to a new fitness level. His website is still under construction, but don't let that prevent you from making contact and giving this new personal training studio a try. I will upload a photo I took of Chris inside his studio soon.

Plus, I've been getting my muscles back. So exciting! This is such a great fitness program, and the instructors and participants make it easy to be there at 6 a.m., in the cold, dark Seattle fall. Across the board, everyone is incredibly friendly and inclusive. It's not a bunch of brides trying to look good for their big day (which is great! this would be your ticket!); it's mostly fit moms who are committed to long-term health and fitness. I feel closer to my community, which is a hugely unexpected and positive consequence. I've been going 3 days a week at 6 a.m. at the Phinney Neighborhood Center parking lot, and some Saturdays at 8 a.m. at Golden Gardens. And, really, this is good for any fitness level. I could barely keep up the first week, and I've come a long way in the past month. Each workout is different and challenging, and the hour flies by.

Now that the Crossfit craze is waning maybe you should try a more realistic exercising program…read more I have been attending this gym for nine years after having been a member of both the ProClub and the Bellevue Club and it's done wonders for me. I do the Power the Active and the Spin classes, in a way a blended kind of Crossfit but one that normal people like me can enjoy being part of. No one walks around in the latest spandex and there are no 'muscle heads'. This is interesting entertaining and refreshing exercise that anyone can do and do it up to any level they choose. I heartedly endorse this gym, its programs are designed by doctors and trainers and based on reality not on fantasy. When I first started, if I missed a class she'd send me a text - hey, we missed you today, what's up? It was motivation, but not pressure. The members will welcome you, the instructors will help you (if you need it) and like Alison says, you get to leave feeling grateful about what your body can do.
