I found Barre3 Kirkland about six months ago. At the time, I'd not found a fitness routine that I…read morecould stick to for over a decade. I struggled with self-motivation, did not feel confident as I fumbled around a gym, and struggled with chronic pain due to several car accidents and demanding athletic activity throughout childhood. Walking through the doors of this Barre3 studio changed all of this for me. I was hooked before I'd completed my first class! Not only are the workouts challenging and dynamic, I find myself experiencing an exponential boost in confidence and competence regarding mobility, breath, and functional strength. Prior to Barre3, I was unable to successfully use my postural muscles effectively, due to long term injury. After 6 months of Barre3 workouts, my chiropractor recently shared that my posture is improving greatly! What truly sets Barre3 Kirkland apart from other fitness studios is the strong sense of community that exists within the space. Owners, Elizabeth and Hannah, along with their wonderful team, create an atmosphere that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for people to move, grow, challenge themselves, and be vulnerable throughout the process. Their intentional efforts to authentically engage and build relationships with participants fosters an atmosphere that that feels unlike any other fitness environment. I genuinely feel like I am loved and cared for by staff and other studio members--what a gift. This place is truly special. If you're looking for a studio that feels like home, this is the place for you.

BARRE 3 @ KIRKLAND…read more First timer here using Class Pass! I really recommend it if you haven't heard of the concept, where you can try multiple studios for the same price! I saw this location super close to Downtown Kirkland and had to try it out! Parking was available for street, there are free two hour options or you can park at the Library. I decided to take Signature 45 with Bo, had no idea what I was getting myself into, I was just excited to get into the class. Bo was FANTASTIC, amazing instructor and so funny! He pulled out the funniest jokes and I really loved his attitude, he also would go to certain people and help their structure and position more better, I really enjoyed this just to help you learn better. The owner was kind as well. The place itself was a bit small, it was just one class, one studio at a time, bathroom is only one and there is not a shower there. Not too sure if I missed it. Overall, great class and they gave me a small "welcome" gift which was some energy mixer and about their membership.

I was looking for a local studio to try aerial yoga with a friend. I saw the previous yelp reviews…read moreof customers having a bad experience with someone from the studio, but I thought it may have been a one off event and wanted to give them a try. Since their website address leads to a broken link I reached out on facebook messenger. I used one of Facebooks canned responses to ask 'Do you have any promotions?' and the response was 'Never. I find that kind of model disgusting'. Didn't know asking if they have a promos was such a negative question and I asked them to elaborate, but have not gotten a response. I'm still trying to figure out why my questions was so bad? (Attached screenshot)

Wow, my abs have not been this sore in a while! I had heard about Knotty Yoga through the aerial…read moregrapevine and decided to give it a chance when one of Meetup groups planned a meetup here. I took the intro class that was specially priced at $19. For an hour and a half, it was an incredible deal that I could not pass up...and it was more than worth it! There were about 18+ people in the class and we started with a warm up on the silks. Afterwards, we watched Mason and 2 other instructors demo on the rope, silks, and lyra respectively. We then learned a few things on the silks and did a quick stretch of the upper body. The verdict? The warmup is NOT a beginner warmup. There's lots of balancing of the upper body on the arms or forearms while the legs are held up by the silk apparatus. As the body is balancing, it is moving forwards, backwards, and twisting side to side. For me, the warmup was great and challenging, but I could see it being difficult for a beginner. Vivian was the instructor on the silks. I found her explanations and demonstrations thorough as I had previously learned one of the tricks at another studio but had not understood it fully until Vivian explained it another way. We were learning how to climb the silks and even though there was heavy emphasis on the use of the legs, I didn't hear any guidance about relieving any tightness in the forearms or the hands during the instruction. And in the cool down/stretching, there was no focus on these parts of the body at all. For the cool down, we paired up and all we did was twist the upper body while pulling on each others arms. Time was up but I wished that there would have been more time for more thorough stretching. Now I realize that there were a lot of people in the class and it was an intro class so I am probably calling out personal particulars, but I was really impressed with the overall vibe of the studio. I like their whole hybrid exercise modality idea. The instruction was awesome. The studio is a great space and I am especially looking forward to taking future classes in trapeze and lyra. Lastly, I find the pricing options a great value.

I have found these needs in SolarYou--specifically in Irina's Deep Stretch class! There were many other first timers in this class, so maybe that's why Irina was so detailed in all the stretches. I hope the attention to detail remains the same in future classes. Irina went around the class to help each person with their stretches as well! I booked the class through ClassPass, and the preparation instructions were clear that the class start timing is strict, so be prepared to find parking and give time to put belongings away and secure a spot in the studio!

I used the free class trial offer to check out the baby wearing dance class and it was so fun. I'm still recovering from giving birth and I easily adapted the moves to what my body was able to handle, while still enjoying the connection and fun of dancing with other moms and our littles. The instructors brought great energy. The space itself is a great "make yourself at home" vibe. I can imagine it may get a bit crowded at popular days/times but was super convenient to navigate and find a place to park the stroller, then nurse my kiddo when I needed to. It feels like they've put a lot of consideration into what parents want/need from a place like this. I appreciate the variety of pricing options, from memberships to punch cards to single passes, especially since it's hard to predict our schedule these days. And access is linked to the kiddo, so partners and caregivers can take advantage of the space too. Will definitely be back!!

Our first impression was stellar and I wish we had checked it out sooner! The Heybrook is aesthetically beautiful, fun and safe for littles - and bonus that they have several toys we don't have at home! - they have coffee and good company for parents, and ample opportunity for young ones to socialize with each other. This place is a gift to the community, including the affordable cost with great value. Thank you, Heybrook!
