Salacki Painting - Townhouse in Wood Ridge

    Salacki Painting

I have been looking for someone to remove one wall of wallpaper after a skylight leak. I had two…read moreestimates where someone came out, but never sent an estimate. One estimate was over double the cost of Mr. Salacki 's estimate. I called Salaski Painting and someone came out the next day, and the work was completed within a few days. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, professionalism, and final result. I would use them again, and recommend without reservation. Rose M.

I recently use Salacki painting (finished this Wednesday April 3, 2019)…read more - Ray was prompt and quick to come for an estimate - The crew he hired did an ok job painting my house. Note, only on the painting itself. - I've now been back to my old house since and see a lot of issues after the painting, hence the update. Looking back, I should not have use this company at all, I was hoping that they did a professional job, so when they're done, I can have the old house ready for listing. Instead, his crew did a terrible job that left me with a lot of work, cleaning up after his crew, I literally paid somebody to paint my house, then not everything was painted and left a lot of mess I have to deal with, I wasted my money and my time (taking about 2 days to clean up). What upset me the most for my last job with Ray Salacki painting are: - The painting is not professionally done. A professional painter would not leave so much splatter of paints all over my wood floor. I had to kneel down and spent a lot time, literally use my nail to get some of the paint off my wooden floor. This paint splatter is all over in all the rooms everywhere. So after Salacki's crew is done, I have to spend the entire day to clean up the splatter paints all over. - The crew painted shut some of my windows. I had to spend a lot of time carefully using scrapper and knife to free the window from the frame. It is very unprofessional because nobody would paint somebody's window or door shut. After the paint is dry, I can NO LONGER open those windows. - The crew also did a half ass job on some of the doors, for example, he would paint the inside but not outside, he would paint the top hoping that you did not see that bottom was not painted. - The house look like a mess after his crew were done, and I was counting on being able to be show ready after they're done. Looks like I have to spent a few more days to really clean up. - The crew left 4 big bags of trash, not the kind that neatly put away in the bag, it's the kind that left soiled paper towel all over, the paint can was not closed properly and so it leaks. So I took care of everything carefully still got some paints leaked out. - The thing that frustrated me and disgusted me the most is: his crew stuffed about 6 or 7 folded paper towel in my toilet. I'm not sure what happened, maybe he's in a rush or something, the paper towels are probably soiled with paint. At first I just notice a small corner of left over paper towel in my toilet hole, so I flush thinking it needs to go down. Then water backs up and over the toilet bowl and flooded my bathroom floor. I ended up grabbing the corner and pull out, not one or two, but 6 or 7 paper towels. Only god knows how many more the crew stuffed in there. Who does that? Is he stupid or something? - Some of my windows are painted shut, so I am going to have to cut it open.

It is with great enthusiasm that I write a review about Monk's Home Improvement. After being highly…read morerecommended to use Monk's services by a family member six years ago for their superior painting and home renovation skills, I instantly felt confident about their reliability and trustworthiness by the level of knowledge and communication (by the in-house team as well as the in-the-field team) all throughout the bathroom painting and sink/countertop replacement project. I would absolutely recommend Monk's for home renovations of all shapes and sizes. Monk's is the only place that I would turn to for any type of home remodeling project. Since the original work, I continue to use Monk's from projects small to large, such as backsplash replacement to casement window and door replacement to laundry room renovation with design, as well as a gut primary bathroom renovation and design. After all of the work was completed, I literally was blown away by the skill level and professionalism on every aspect of the job -- not only from the contractors who performed the work (Diego, Mainor, and Maurico), but also Maria, the talented Estimator; Nelson and Jim, the superior Project Managers; Denise, Casey, and Cortney, the amazing Designers; Mike, Windows & Doors Expert; as well as Kathy, the lovely Front Desk contact at the Morristown Showroom.

Review long overdue - I used Monk's to perform an incredible amount of work on my house before I…read moremoved in. They refinished and stained the floors, redid all the paint throughout the house (inside and out), replaced all the windows so that they actually open and close, let's see... there was more, but it's been so long! I haven't had to retouch anything in many years, and I am now consulting with them for more improvements. Very professional and open, honest, and looking to help you find your balance of value and quality. They are my first choice to come back to any time I have work to do - I note they don't do _everything_ I'm looking for (they'll redo my deck but not the walkway leading to it?), but for what they do, I trust them 100%.
