Come to find out they were only taking 40 guests for the Friday the 13th flash deal. We were numbers 37,38, and 39 -several potential customers were turned away during our wait. There were 4 artists that day and we waited about an hour and a half. I watched some super awesome pieces of work come in/out. The female artist in the first room was creating fabulous realistic insect pieces. I watched her do a moth on a knee cap and a slug on an inner arm. Detail was amazing! I had my nipples pierced here and the piercer was knowledgeable, professional, kind and made my experience easy. I was scared as hell to get them pierced and his calm demeanor really eased my worry and took my stress level down to a 1. I was a shaky, sweaty mess! Poor guy. So here's the deal. I've always been told to go to You Pick It, We Stick It in the Pasadena area. So when my friends wanted tattoos, that's where we'd go. UNTIL the guy tried to give us some ridiculous price for a tattoo so easy a toddler could do it. That's when we found Hold Fast. The first thing I noticed is that everything is super clean. And it doesn't smell like old cigarettes or weed (You Pick It, I'm looking at you). The next thing is, everyone was super nice and helpful (and not high...). Then Donnie, the artist for the evening, gave us a price that made everyone happy. He was clean, efficient, and super helpful. Fast forward a few weeks and I decided I wanted a second lobe piercing. Piercings give me super anxiety (which is why I didn't get the first one until this past August). Donnie, again, helped me out. He was very calm and talked me through it. Fast forward a month later. So I couldn't figure out how to get the earrings off..... Hold Fast does free jewelry replacement if you got pierced with them. So I grabbed my studs and marched right over to Hold Fast. Robert changed my earrings for me and was super cool and didn't judge me for my lack of competence. All in all, my favorite place for tattoos and piercings. Today is 11/6/20 I walked in with my wife to the establishment and was greeted by someone peeking there head out of a door into the hallway for only a second and continued talking so we waited and a minute, Later the same person walks out and says how can i help. We give her our ID and she says it will only be a moment so we proceed to wait and then I'm told I can't go back due to covid-19 but I would like to note during this whole interaction the employee is not wearing a face mask and is most definitely within 6ft so my wife heads on back to get her piercing. I was surprised when my wife comes back out of the establishment and lowered her mask to have no piercing so I ask what happened, "your nose is crooked in the middle" is what the man told her, so she was heading out and he says "I can adjust it" but my wife kept walking so now I wasted my time and my wife's joy is yanked from under just because someone didn't feel like doing there job right the first time. We walked in yesterday to have my nose pierced. The place was very clean and the price was reasonable. Mike did my piercing. He was fast, professional, and very experienced. You can tell he knows what he's doing. He answered all my questions and talked me through the whole process. I love it that he actually took his time making sure the placement is right. I honestly thought it was going to hurt but now it's the least painful out of all the piercings I've had. The whole process was fast and the overall experience was just great. I could not more strongly recommend that you avoid this location. I have 7 tattoos, I really like six of them. I have one from this studio that consists of 20 letters. None of the letters match. The letters are squished, some lines are blown out, some lines fell out, and some have random bobbles in them. I assure you that I can sit for a tattoo; my other tattoos have immaculate lines. The other tattoo artists point out the flaws of how this one was applied. I regret going to this location and encourage everyone to avoid it. Don't make the mistake I made and think anyone can do simple typewriter font. If they can't get that right, what will they do with something complicated? read more

I walked in one day in my 20th birthday and I already had a tattoo in minded. I showed the artist and he said " I can't do it that small" me being naive since it was my first time getting tattooed agreed to get the tattoo bigger. Which was not at all what I wanted. I ended up regretting my tattoo that I got here. I understand it was my fault for not saying but I can't go back because the tattoo artist looked at me like my opinion did not matter. I even hesitated about the tattoo at one point and he had an annoyed look to his face. I even asked if there was an aftercare sheet that I could look at and he said "just put some aquaphor". The customer service is trash. I felt like his needs were meet more than my own and it was my tattoo I was receiving. I'm planning on lasering the tattoo once I'm able to afford it sadly. My experience here was not the best. Plus it may seem clean but when I walked through it smelled like cigarettes and a hint of mold. Very horrible experience. I went their and the piercer was horrible!!!!!!!!!! NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not informed after care of piercings and the ball from the barbell was stuck inside of my nipple!! That's a bad thing, but on top of that when I called back and asked to speak to the owner RYAN picked up and cussed me out!! :( Very unprofessional!!! I told him that I did not like how he did things and he told me to burn in hell!! Ryan is horrible! And I don't even think he is the owner he said he was! The piercer was horrible but at least Ryan should have comforted me! I had a ball in the middle of my nipple and I was really scared!
