What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. When I arrived, however, I was told they would not honor the discount I had been quoted because there were "no notes in my file." Instead of taking responsibility for what was clearly an internal communication issue, I was told I was lying. Whether or not someone documented something properly is not the client's fault. I did everything I was asked to do. I even told them it was fine and that I would pay the higher price just to move forward with the appointment. Despite that, the staff continued to question me and speak to me in a way that felt accusatory and demeaning. The entire interaction was unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. I was made to feel embarrassed and foolish for something completely out of my control. I ultimately left in tears. I would strongly encourage this business to work on communication, professionalism, and how they speak to clients. No one deserves to be treated this way.

On top of that, I received calls and texts from several different phone numbers, with no clarity on who anyone actually was or who I was supposed to contact for accurate answers. It created total confusion and zero accountability. The only positive experiences I had were with Sierra at the front desk and the medical provider who performed my service. They were kind, professional, and the only bright spots in this entire situation. I was promised a refund of $340.00 due to the many issues I encountered, yet that refund has still not been processed so I claimed fraud on my card due the fact that I cannot get a reply from anyone to update me on the refund status. Thankfully my bank is incredible and will do the fighting for me. At this point, I honestly wish they would just refund my entire service ($540.00) and be done with it. What started as a bad experience has only continued to get worse. I originally planned on being a loyal, long-term client, but after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. This has been a horrible experience from start to finish, and I would strongly caution anyone considering LaserAway to think twice, especially if clear communication, accurate pricing, and customer service matter to you.

I recently moved to the area and decided to give NakedMD a try. During my consultation, the consultant was very friendly and mentioned that all of their providers are RNs or nurses rather than technicians, which made me feel confident moving forward with my PRF microneedling appointment. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly with the blood draw. The first nurse who attempted to draw my blood seemed new and was having difficulty finding the vein. After multiple attempts, she missed my vein and ended up blowing it, which was extremely painful and left me with additional bruising. At that point, Stephanie--the nurse who would later perform my microneedling treatment--was brought in to help. She was able to draw my blood successfully on the first try without any issues, and I appreciated that. However, I was disappointed with the microneedling treatment itself. Compared to treatments I've received at other med spas, the procedure felt rushed and not nearly as thorough. When I got home and looked more closely, I noticed that my upper lip area had been completely missed during the treatment and around my eyes. Since my face was fully numbed at the time, I wasn't aware of it until afterward, but it's hard to understand how an area like that could be overlooked. Overall, the staff was friendly, but between the painful blood draw experience and the lack of attention to detail during the microneedling treatment, this visit did not meet the standard I've experienced elsewhere. I left feeling disappointed and unsure if I would return to this location.

I've had to rebook appointments more than once, because I still had remnants of spray tan on my face and another time because of my tretinoin use. At the time it felt like a bummer, but it showed me how much she truly puts her patients first and will never cut corners. That level of integrity is rare and so appreciated.
