Donuts from Hole in One Donut.
    Maura C.

My sister and I were craving donuts one Sunday morning, so we decided to try out the Hole in One Donut shop. We ordered a half dozen and had donuts to snack on for a few days, which was perfect since the donuts were sweet, yet delicious! We picked out a blueberry cake donut, chocolate cake donut, french cruller, chocolate sprinkled, vanilla sprinkled, and a chocolate iced donut. My personal favorite was the chocolate iced, followed by the blueberry cake donut, which reminded me of a blueberry muffin. This location was super easy to get to with a decent amount of parking outside. Since we were somewhat close to USF, we ended up driving over there and taste testing the donuts outside. This was such a fun morning exploring a new donut shop and walking around USF's campus!

Ok I'm not easily impressed by donuts but this place is phenomenal! I had a maple glazed with bacon. I ate mine so fast that I didn't get a pic. I love their creative flavors and variety. They had the cutest Cookie Monster donut. Almost any kind you can think of, they have it. I just wish they had longer hours but otherwise, 10 out of 10 recommend!

(At least dunkin has real cinnamon rolls) I purchased two glazed donuts and a "cinnamon" roll. Glazed donuts tastes pretty good but the cinnamon roll didn't have any cinnamon in it(maybe a hint). I asked the worker if they were like the donuts or if they actually had cinnamon in them(they do not) and she said yes. It seems like most of their offerings are like the glaze donuts but called a different name. I dont think will go back to this business, at least Dunkin Donuts has real cinnamon rolls.

The donuts at Hole in One are really fresh and delicious! Whenever I'm in town, we always get these donuts. My personal favorites are the Boston cream, apple fritters and sour cream glazed. You can't go wrong with their donuts!

Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was extremely yummy!

For the life of me, I can't understand what all the hullabaloo is about. We tried this place based on the rave reviews, but their doughnuts are mediocre at best. I ordered online through Door Dash and scheduled my pickup for the next morning. That part was easy. I went in the next morning for my pickup and there was only one other customer on a Tuesday at 10:30. I was glad because I was afraid there would be a line. The inside is plain, no frills. There were two employees. One was helping the other customer, the other looked at me and then started dancing while in her own world. At least she is happy to be at work! Then she looked at me again and asked if I was with the other customer. I replied that I was there to pick up an online order that I had placed through Door Dash and told her my name. There was one bag on the shelf and she told me I had to verify the order. I wasn't sure what she meant. I started naming the things I ordered, but she kept saying "on the phone" and I was confused. My phone was in the car and I was ready to go out and get it when, begrudgingly, she handed me my order. I will say the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was out-of-this-world delicious. It couldn't even compare to the one I usually get through a certain fast food store's drive-thru. However, it was all downhill from there. My husband couldn't eat his everything bagel with cream cheese. He said it had a funny taste and the cream cheese was not a generous amount. The apple fritter that he usually loves and that everyone raves about was just an apple fritter. There was nothing special about it. We didn't eat any of the other doughnuts we got because one bite of my glazed sour cream was enough for me. I could immediately taste the oil. I don't know what we were expecting, but this wasn't it!

With a name like Hole in One Donut, you would think they would totally concentrate on donuts, but they also have breakfast sandwiches. The surprise was they didn't have much of a variety of donuts. This place was listed as top 4 in Tampa, and I can't understand why, unless competition isn't there. I ended up with a strawberry filled donut and I took 6 bites before I hit any strawberry filling and after that it was just a little spot for my next bites. Truly disappointed. The donut itself was good, but if it's a filled donut, it should be filled. Interior is a mess with boxes of cooking products everywhere. There were 3 tables for customers, but 1 had boxes piled all over it. Nobody ever cleaned tables when people left. I didn't have a good experience and wouldn't return.

Excellent donuts, sandwiches and pastries that are consistently way above the competition.

This is by far the best little donut shop. It gets super busy with lines out the door. You can order ahead in door dash. Enjoy!

I love these donuts!! Girls are not as welcoming but I'm sure they're so busy. I wish I lived closer. I'd probably be heavier though.

Ask the Community - Hole In One Donut

Have they ever run out of product before closing time?

To the best of my knowledge no, will not have all of their donuts, but whatever is left over when they close, they donate to a Church the next day so all their donuts are fresh made each day.

I could see that they had sold out of a few items, like fried oreo donuts, but they still had plenty of delicious treats left. I went with an apple fritter, guava-filled donut, samoa donut, and a frosted, then topped with mini M&Ms donut. Total cost for 4 pastries: $11.00. I made the mistake of having a piece of the apple fritter on my way home, and sadly could not stop eating it; thus, no picture. However, it was AMAZING. One of my favorites ever. The other donuts were parceled out over the weekend, and they were all delicious. This store has been around forever, and they are just as good as they always were. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and various coffees. Parking can be tricky even with their own parking lot, but it's worth the hassle. If you're done overpaying for fancy donuts, Nicola's will satisfy the craving.

BEST donut shop in Tampa!! Great selection and they put out new special donuts occasionally. The…read moreservice is always spectacular. The gentleman that works the morning, always remembers us and makes my kids feel welcome. I think the kids like to go see him as much as they do the donuts! The donuts are mostly yeast donuts and just as good if not better than Krispy Kreme! My daughter loves the fried Oreo, my son like the mini holes and red velvet and I go for the glazed mini croissants, red velvet (cake donut) and Vanilla coconut (cake donut). The regular donuts are so light and fluffy, cake donuts are so moist and tender they even have breakfast sandwiches options on bagels and croissants (I think, but bagels for sure) HIGHLY recommend!!! Only downfall is they sell out fast and close when they sell out. So best time to go is 7-9am. I think they're open until 1, but there won't be much left by then. It's a great stop on yoir way to work because he opens really early! Iced coffee is also really yummy. Nit too sweet!
