Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

Lorrie started helping me, asking questions about my work, and brainstorming about who in Idaho falls would have the paints I was looking for. During our conversation I said how I paint (literally just shoot holes in a spray can for explosive collabs, and or poke holes in a bucket of paint for different designs), and she told me that only men do that when they know they cant paint so they can take the credit from us women. That's when I realized she thought I was a woman this whole time. I told her that I'm trying to be a man( have been since 2019 ). she quickly apologized and ran away from me like I had the plague. when I was leaving I heard her talking with another woman and the only this I heard was Lorrie say, clear as a bell, "I know! But why would any woman want a penis that badly!" I can only assume that was about me and my transitioning. To this day I have felt too uncomfortable to go back in there and probably never will. That was the most Homophobic thing I've ever had done to me. And she's a manager of all things!! I've had such a hard time talking about this to anyone until now and I have my new wife to thank for that. update. I wrote this same thing on a google review on this same business and found out that it is no longer public for some reason... pretty sketchy place. Even for Idaho Falls, I guess its really about who you know and screw the little guy.
