Crooked and greedy! Came in to buy an Equinox with a sale price of $28,238 on their website which was listed as $2600 off an MSRP of $30,900. When I got there, they totally ignored their own website's sales price and kept referring me back to MSRP as the price during our negotiation. Finally, I called them on it and said, "So do you not KNOW about your sale price listed online for this vehicle, or do you simply not want to honor it?" Manager claimed their "system" doesn't allow him to see the prices listed on their website, only MSRP. Say what??? "No," I said, "You were just hoping I didn't notice the discount on your website or that you were trying to muddy the numbers." Liar. Shady. Scam. Greedy. Besides this, I've bought from them before, and when I did I had to fight tooth and nail to keep them from trying to steal my trade in. And they tried to do again yesterday. Started our weekend thinking we were buying one car, but ended up driving up here to buy an even better one. Found out the hard way the dealership we were dealing with doesn't hold a car, even when you've started the paperwork. At first we were upset that our salesman failed to mention that to us (we had to leave to get to our daughter's soccer game and he didn't say anything!), but within 3 hours we not only found the car we were meant to have, but drove it off the lot. DFW peeps- it is absolutely worth a quick drive to Whitesboro if you're in the market for a new Chevy or used car. Service department manager Jimmy is full of it. Went to get a quote from another shop with issues with our car they quoted us the hourly rate. Then we brought it to Holiday Chevy THEY OFFERED a complimentary consult to look at it and said it would take a couple of hours. Got there for service at 7:30. They didn't start on it until 10 and finished around 11:40 and charged us for 5 hours of service, because they have to go by "their book". Had we known that we would have gone to the other shop that offered THE HOURLY rate. Talked to the service manager Jimmy and he started getting snarky saying they didn't do anything wrong so I don't deserve a refund for the 2 hours ( I could have asked for 4 hours, but I was trying to meet in the middle) I asked and they could have charged the fee to look at it as well, but they didn't. To which I replied I didn't ask you, y'all offered and even if I paid for the consult and service per hour it still would have been cheaper. We were told by the service employee it'll take a couple of hours and were given a quote. Not disclosing up front that you go the "The Book" is your wrong doing. I then called corporate to file a complaint and asked about "The Book" to which they responded every shop has a different price book or code that they go by, basically what I was telling Jimmy when he began to get snarky about the other shop. Then he kept asking for the name of the other shop saying they should go by the book too and they're supposed to. I'm not giving you their info, I'll just refer everyone to them for their honesty. Crappy situation, because the service department worker was nice and we've always loved their service department employees. The manager Jimmy was just a rude as ever and didn't even attempt to make things right. I hung up and called corporate, because I was basically feeding hay to a dead horse going back and forth with Jimmy. He put the blame on us for not knowing they go by the book and we will never go back to a place with no honesty or accountability. read more

I have been driving for 30 years and have only had two trucks. Both are Chevy's, and until last Thursday both were still parked in my garage. One is the 75 Blazer I bought when I was 15 and still drive around town, and the other was the 03 Silverado I traded in last Thursday with 356,000 miles. I drove over an hour (I live in Dallas) for the vehicle I purchased at Holiday. The deal was more than fair and thousands better than the local __________ (fill in the blank with whatever not-so-nice word you prefer to use when dealing with dishonest, overbearing and inconsiderate sales people) here in Dallas. Without any haggling or discussion, Holiday beat Autonation Chevrolet and Friendly Chevrolet by around 5500-6000 (overall considering trade, purchase, etc... all fees). They were reasonably fair with my trade in (slightly less than CarMax but better than other dealerships) and extremely competitive with the new car price (2014 Volt). They honored their website pricing, not bait and switch type of situation. I'll be honest, I totally expected them to sneak in some fee or make up some bogus reason about why the price I was being charged was more than the website, none of that happened. They presented the upsale items to me (extended warranties, etc...) but didn't pressure me in the least. The total time with the finance guy was 10 minutes, tops. I ended up going with their financing, it was slightly better than my own. Overall, it was the best auto buying experience I've had, I've purchased 7 (maybe 8) vehicles prior to this and I've gone with several friends to help them purchase theirs. My point is that this statement says a lot, especially considering I am factoring the 2.5 hour round trip drive time to get there. I definitely recommend giving them a chance!! I deal with Ryan (Internet Sales). I found them through the USAA Car Buying service (other banks provide this, UPromise does too, and anyone can use that service; however, their internet price was pretty similar or slightly better. read more

Went to dealership after finding a truck on autotrader. Truck was pictured with lift kit installed as well as aftermarket rims and tires. When I arrived at the dealership, the truck was there as pictured. I was given the keys to check it out, but was told that my salesman was waiting for a final word on the price. I said no problem I was willing to pay the posted price. I was told that the price that was posted was too low. They had put the lift, rims, and tires on it so it would be more. I showed the salesman and the sales manager the picture of the truck I was looking at which already had all installed and had a listed price that I was willing to pay. They said well we wont sell you the truck in the picture for the price that is posted with the picture. I guess I shouldn't have been suprised though, car dealerships have always been famous for that. read more

Liars!... Do your home work before showing up at Holiday Chevrolet. I was there today 03/23/19 and spoke with sales consultant Brent Mathews. The dealer provides a calculator on their website www.holidaychevy.net for a lease or finance for each vehicle, providing you payments estimates for each preference. But according to them the LEASE calculator which provides you a much better deal IS NOT WORKING. I did my research before going out there and make sure the numbers were accurate so I would not looks stupid in front of them. They would not provide me with the numbers and not even the information about leasing the vehicle. All they said was "the number are not good" and they would not honor the numbers that is on the web site and not even show it to me. Complete wast of time, LIAR, LIAR. I would recommend visiting Stonebriar Chevrolet or any other and see for yourself the difference. I would NOT recommend them to anyone and will file a complain at the BBB. They should not be providing a tool online that is not accurate and just tell that is not working. Why are they allowed to make FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and not be punished or have to remove the Tool from the website. We need to make them responsible for their acts. read more

By far the best car buying experience we've ever had. Rachel was fantastic. No pressure and was always available via phone, text or email. We were able to finalize a drive out price completely via email and text. And when we got to the dealership guess what....that was the price!!! None of the "we forgot about this fee and that fee" games that the dealers tend to play in the city. We live in Melissa so it took us about and hour to get there but it was so worth the drive. And talk about a deal. They beat the "city quote" by not just hundreds....but thousands. Didn't get to meet Ryan Roberts but he was super helpful via email. So my wife got exactly the truck she was wanting. And the whole process was...dare I say this...pleasant and fun. Imagine that.....you actually wind up enjoying buying a vehicle. Again a big part of that was due to Rachel and Ryan. Peter in finance had us in and out in quickly. Only issue is he roots for the Cubs :) . So if you only check out the city dealers all I can say is it's your loss. Email and text are free and you don't want to short change yourself. When it's time to get me a new car (once the truck is paid off) this will be our first and probably only stop. read more

I was looking to buy a new truck and found one with the options I wanted in stock so I went to the dealer to take a look. After the salesman got the keys we went to their remote lots to find it. At this point I was given the keys to test drive and I gave the salesman my keys to evaluate my truck for a trade in. We met back in his office and said there was a problem with my truck, both back windows were open and would not close. Somehow the regulator/motor to the windows broke on both sides? I asked what his solution was and was told it was my problem. I asked since they broke them if they would give me a break on repairing them. Service manager said $500 to fix and which was no break. As to value of my trade was lowballed I guess cause it had broke windows. I have bought a truck here before but not happy how this was handled. Salesman might have been new as his business card was hand written. Drove off with windows down. read more

I have never been treated so miserably in all of my life. I went in to see a 2012 Camaro I saw online, and the salesman showed me a 2014 model instead. Kraig said it was much nicer, and that it was the nicer of the two 2014's they had in stock. I test drove the vehicle and fell in love with it. The next day I decided that it was the vehicle I needed to get into ASAP. After two weeks of negotiating, I went in to pick up the vehicle, and was sent home with the wrong car. Not only had the condition of accepting my trade-in changed and was off the table, now they were passing off this lower grade 2014 as the nicer 2014 I had test driven. I did not agree to purchase the lower class model 2014, and when I asked for them to give me the correct car, I was told that it would be at a significantly higher cost. I am an Oklahoma Army National Guard Veteran, and have served the past 20 years of my career in Law Enforcement. I have a terminal illness, and had put $5,000. cash down for payment. When I was coming back to finalize the papers, I had a bank draft for an additional $10,000. ready to put down on this vehicle. I was insulted that anyone would try to pass off an obviously lesser value vehicle when I had made a good faith offer to purchase the one that I had test driven. Rather than correct the problem, I was further lied to when I asked the dealership to send a driver to Durant to pick up this wrong vehicle. I was told there was not enough staff available, and that I would have to wait until the following week. I was forced to take the vehicle back myself, and as I caused a disturbance driving in, I saw that employees were running out of the dealership to look at me, like ants. The salesman was rude and aggressive with me when I told him I was not falling for the vehicle swap, and that I wanted my down payment refunded. He bowed up to me and my dad when I returned the vehicle. I do not recommend anyone do business with this dealership or this salesman. read more

We do not recommend this dealer! We bought a used Chevy Equinox from Craig and we wish we had not. The day after we took it home the engine light came on. In fact, we had to bring it back twice because the engine code light kept coming on 100 miles after they cleared it. Craig, the salesman told us it was only an O2 sensor but it was not. They kept replacing the wrong parts and they gave us grief each time because they had already lost money "on this deal". They reluctantly replaced one of the catalytic converters but the light came back on a third time. Overwhelmed with frustration we took it to a different shop with more competent mechanics where they said the code it had the whole time was indicating the OTHER catalytic converter only. They replaced the correct one and the engine light never returned. I found it amazing that Chevy service technicians couldn't diagnose the problem but the tiny muffler shop I took it to knew exactly what the problem was. After they had our commitment to buy they stopped treating us like customers and saw us as nothing more than a "deal". This was evident when Joel, the service adviser tried to tell me they wouldn't make it right because they had lost too much money on this deal. read more

We decided to go look at the trucks and he seen one that he liked, so we went back in the dealership to see if anybody can help us and nobody acknowledged us. I purchased a new vehicle from Holiday Chevrolet this weekend and I could not be more satisfied with the experience. I did a lot of research before deciding exactly what I wanted and gave my local dealer a shot, but they really fouled it up with their high pressure sales tactics. I found Holiday had the lowest price that I could find online, so I contacted them and 90% of the transaction was completed before I even got to the dealership. I worked with Ryan and he made sure that I was aware of all of my options, rebates, and warranties so I could get the truck that I wanted at the price that I wanted. When I got to the dealership, the trucks that I was interested in were ready and waiting for me to test drive. No upsells, no tricks, no pressure. They gave me great money for my trade and even agreed to pick it up from Austin, saving me a lot of hassle. The finance guy made what is usually the worst part of buying a car easy, efficient, and got me a killer interest rate that blew what the bank offered out of the water. First let me start by saying this is the first review I have EVER posted online, but I feel strongly about it so I am posting this- The actual buying process at Holiday Chevrolet was ok. The guys I worked with were nice enough guys. The problem I had was service after the sale. The day I bought my new truck and went to head home I noticed the tailgate would not open. The salesman had me go ahead and take it home and let me know they would come pick it up and get it fixed. They did come pick it up 2 days later. I called him a few days later and he said his service department was still working on it. Called back a few days later and talked with the service department manager and he said they could not fix it they were sending it to a body shop to have them fix it. After 3 weeks of them having my new truck, the tailgate was finally fixed. They brought my new truck back to me and when I went to get in it I noticed that there was some strange substance all over the chrome of the front and back bumper ( looked like a light color paint). I took the truck back 2 days later (100 miles from my house) and they said they would buff it out. 3 days went by and I did not hear anything. I finally called the sales manager and he told me they were putting brand new bumpers on my truck. I asked him if they could maybe extend my Onstar and Sirius trial or do anything for me for the inconvenience and he told me he would work on it and see what he could do and that he would call me back soon. 3 days later I had still not heard anything from him so I contacted my salesman again and he said my truck was ready and they were sending it back. I asked him again if they could do anything for me for the inconvenience and he said they could send me $10 for Onstar??? They had my new truck for 95% of the 1st month after I bought it and this was all they could do?? I felt like they were just blowing me off after I signed the contract. I am almost positive that Matt (the owner) would not approve of the way this was handled. I work at a large company with 3,000+ employees and will not recommend Holiday Chevrolet to any of them. read more

I never thought a trustworthy dealership existed before my car buying experience here. Jeramy Hansley was not only helpful but fair, more than fair even. I purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback with approximately 49K miles, it's a beautiful car and was priced fairly. Trust me, I researched this particular vehicle for a year pre-purchase so I know. The car had an air pressure light on when I bought it but Jeramy said to bring it in to any mazda dealership and they'll fix it, he said they most likely would not charge me but if they did to send him the bill and he would reimburse me. Well, I took it in and the crooked dealership (mazda in Denison, TX) I took it to overcharged me by at least $100, totaling to $357 BUT Jeramy held to his word and quickly sent me a check reimbursing me the full $357. If you are looking for a GREAT VEHICLE and to buy from an HONEST company come here! Best dealership ever! By the way, I LOVE my car, it's been about 3 months and I'm stoked every time I get behind the wheel. read more
