i wanted to go here because the vibes seemed very welcoming, however i ended up with something…read more... far from my expectations. i understand that my asian hair is pretty dark so it might not have been able to lift very lightly but i wish i wasn't given that much hope to begin with. i was told not to schedule for a test strand but i figured it was okay and decided to trust the stylist. the back was processed for longer than the front resulting in more yellow strands towards the front of my face. the pictures included do not truly show how warm and yellowish my front pieces were when i truly wanted something ashy. the coloring although not the worst in itself was definitely not what i asked for. the cut however was extremely uneven and choppy. i just cannot believe i sat down for a 4 hour service leaving like that... i ended up recoloring myself and going to another salon to fix. i gave it a two because the stylist was kind but i won't be coming back. i included the references i used of what i wanted compared to what i actually left with.

However i really feel Apotheca needs to know about my experience. I walked out with the second worst hair cut of my life. I asked for a shag hair cut, with curtain bangs. I ended up with some sort of bob like cut. My bangs were utterly destroyed. The stylist took a weird blunt chunk out of the center, and didn't blend them. I have a weird mix of long and short chunks for bangs now. To their credit a senior stylist 'fixed' my bangs-its better than what the original stylist did, but it's still a step below good. I realize I was given to a junior stylist, and it's a learning process, but I think she really needs a senior stylist to take her under their wing and mentor her. I certainly will not be going back.

The salon was a quick, easy walk from the historic Bethlehem hotel where I stayed. The salon was very clean and bright inside. Only one stylist was working that day and I was the last appt. at 1 pm for the day. Jen was very friendly and did a nice job curling my hair for the event. It cost $45 and I was very happy with how it looked. The curls held all night (and I even left them for a couple days after). I would definitely recommend Clementine salon if you are in town and need a blowout or curls done for an event.

During my first visit there, I watched Michael listen to each customers needs. I saw him transform a women with dry multi color hair to a stylish hip hair style that both she and her boyfriend loved! I told Michael that I wanted to grow my hair out longer. He gave me fabulous hair cuts each time while we grew out my heir. I finally got the look I wanted. Michael has since worked with me on perms, hair color and a variety of styles. The hair stylist I had was super friendly and energetic but cut it way too short, almost to my collarbone. I wish he would have checked with me on the length before he actually started cutting.
