We had an apt for our daughters hair for prom. They quoted us $35 on the phone and it ended up being $55. During styling the hair dresser told us the hair won't curl unless she trims off the end of the hair. She asked if she could we agreed but she didn't make it clear she was going to tack on a hair cut and shampoo fee of $21! To trim up the end of hair. When I wanted to get that removed, she said she should have charged me $29 to trim up the ends of the hair she trimmed and tough. The hair was beautiful but the extra HIDDEN FEES WERE CRAZY. We won't be back. If they told us up front the true cost we would have still paid the $55 and if they said to trim up the ends would cost $20 we would have said no. But we were not given the courtesy. read more

She typically doesn't work evenings but accommodated me by staying past her hours. Don't know why there are only 3 stars. Under new management and was very pleased considering I'm a picky customer. Ruined my wedding day, Worst experience of my life. I made an appointment with Holiday Hair at Memorial Parkway Phillipsburg NJ 08865 for 9am on my wedding day. Take under consideration my wedding was at 1pm. I got there early around 8:35am to get everything started and so that my day would start smoothly. The two hair dressers who were there saw me and my fiancé (who wanted to get his haircut) and told us "do you have an appointment because we don't take anyone without an appointment until 10am" I informed her I did have an appointment and then she replied "you are not in our book and we have regulars customers who do, so we cant take care of you". At that point I just walked out! Freaking out because nowhere in Phillipsburg/ or its surrounding areas, can you get your hair done without an appointment. Thankfully my now husband went to Supercuts over in Easton PA and one of their hair dressers did my hair. I am forever thankful, without her I would have had to either cancel my wedding or just do it myself. You may ask yourself why am I writing this. Well here is why! I called corporate and spoke with one of their reps there. I explained what happened and the district manager was supposed to get in touch with me. My wedding was Dec 11 and I have yet to hear from them. How irresponsible. Just an FYI Holiday Hair if you don't want my business there is many other chains who do. Ruining and adding stress to my wedding day was not a very nice thing to do! and just another FYI if you having trouble with your scheduling system (that's what the two girls said) at least hire nice enough reps that wont tell me that a regular customer is more important than me. Also if you were not going to contact me back.. do not tell me you will. I would not recommend Dana. I asked for a medium length shag. I came out with a butched short, uneven and mis-shaped cut. She started by shaping this cut with a razor and then went through it with scissors the length is now 1/2" to 1" my hair was down on my shoulders. I went to her because she has over 30 years experience and get this when she was done cutting my hair she admitted that she doesn't know what she's doing. Horrible customer service , the heavy set lady with black 80's hair was rude to my daughter , my daughter had called to find out if she needed an appointment for a balayage, she said no , so when my daughter and her friend got there this lady gave them an attitude telling them that the wait would be an hour and that an appointment was needed.. after she told her over phone no appointment was needed only walk ins , she told the girls that this service was expense and that she should try to go to another salon. I am appalled and greatly offended. My daughter and her friend were profiled by their looks and an assumption was made that she could not afford the service. We have been loyal customers since 2005 , I will never go back to this place ever. read more

Where to begin? I have been coming to this location for about 30 years, and never had an issue. Ever. I moved to NYC a few years ago, and still come back to visit my family, and when I do I try to squeeze in a cut. My usual stylist retired so I have to choose someone else. It WAS working, until this week. I made an appointment for 230 in the afternoon, and when I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating they would be back in an hour! I could not wait, because I had other plans. Called at 4:10, and no answer. Went to the location in Pohatcong the following day, and they were closed for training. I made another appt at this location for that afternoon, and again, another sign on the door. I even stayed one extra day to try again. Made an early morning appt for today, since I am leaving to go back to NYC in the afternoon. They cancelled me because stylists called out and there were other people booked all day. Now I have to look for a place in NYC withing my budget. I will not be returning here. Disappointing since I had always loved how my hair turned out. read more

walked in at 20 of 8 to get a simple men's buzz cut and the lady said "we are booked for tonight" after her and the other hairdresser both looked at the clock 3 or 4 times each. obviously i know you close at 8. a men's cut doesn't take more than 15 minutes, and considering the amount of hair i don't have, it probably would've taken less. you aren't "booked", you're just lazy and would rather talk to other people at the counter for 20 minutes instead of doing your job. very unprofessional and a really bad representation of a store that already doesn't have the best reputation. will not be returning. sad. read more
