I hate leaving a 1-star review, especially with the kind receptionist. She was phenomenal; working with us through the first few issues we found. It tooks us 3 rooms to be satisfied enough to stay the night, which I now regret staying even that long. All of the rooms we were in had a small gap between the door and the frame, enough to let a decent amount of light into the room, which led us to question safety and efficiency of the locks. First room had mold and stains of many colors in both beds, and bird seed on one of the mattresses, beneath the sheets. There was mold in the shower, in the sink, and overall, the room was just not clean. There was, what looked to be, dirt caked into the paint on the wall the bed was against. After we reported the issues to the receptionist, a member of the staff asked us to show her where the seeds were. When we did, instead of properly cleaning the bed, she swiped the seeds onto the floor and put the sheet back on. We left after that, so who knows if they were left there. Second room, the fridge had been left open, and it had thawed all over the floor. It also had a cigarette burnhole in one of the beds, and the bathroom was filthy. Flash warning for the video, as the light in the bathroom flickered, and appeared to have some sort of electrical issue based on the sound coming from it. Third room was not great, but decent enough to sleep in for a night. Or so I thought. After the lights were out, I noticed not one, but two small cockroaches, meaning a nest is not far, with potentially hundreds more. They came from underneath the beds and were only spotted due to one crawling onto the nightstand between beds. I ended up not being able to sleep, opting for a nap in the car the next day. The shower itself was much cleaner in this room, appeared to be recently renovated. However, we did notice a dark patch in the roof that seemed to be mold growing beneath the paint. I will say, the area seemed safe and nice, the pool/courtyard area was very well maintained. If the rooms would be treated the same way, I guarantee it would be much nicer. Even though it wasn't a huge expense, I wouldn't stay here again, even if they paid me. read more

Wow. This has got to be one of the worst places I've seen. I was going to attempt to stay here since I already paid. I tried to call the front desk for some pillows and linen, but the phone in the room didn't work. I then used my cell phone to call the number listed but no one answered. It wasn't worth it for me to walk back down to the lobby and ask, as I'm sure they'd just hand me the stuff and I'd have to make the bed myself. Honestly I didn't want to wake up with a rash or bug bites anyways so I just left and stayed at a chain hotel not too far away. read more

How is this place even still In business!!!!! This is a run down place for felon's, fentanyl addicts and hookers. Don't stay here. Hotel manager Jody couldn't care less about managing a hotel and is very un apologetic. She refused to provide her bosses contact to escalate my complaint. Rooms look nothing like Expedia photos. Just a garbage hotel that rents rooms weekly to locals. Don't bring your kids here. You'll hear loud sex noises from rooms next to you all hours of the night. There is absolutely no noise canceling. What a dump!! I asked house keeping to mop the filthy dirty floors and she told me that she can give me a towel so that I can clean the floor. I asked her if I get paid to clean their floors and she laughed. She went on to say that they don't clean the floors because a guy had Covid. Ooooo k, that makes perfect sense. I sat on the toilet and my life flashed before me. Wow!!! The outdoor grounds look horrible. Send someone out there with a broom and dustpan at least. All outside area need pressure washed. Some rooms have the room number hand written on the door with a sharpie. Could be a great place to go if you enjoy a nice cool shower. read more

Got the history of this property from the front desk lady. It's a work in progress but they seem to be going in the right direction. Really like the outside layout. Our room was decent but there were many things that were showing there age. Hopefully the new ownership continues with the renovations. This place has potential that isn't yet fully realized. Side note, we prefer rooms without carpet and the rooms have ceramic tile which is a big plus for us. read more

I have stayed here often . come from long distances to stay here. the staff from front desk to house keeping to maintenance are 1st class. I had a chance to meet the owner & all the staff very perfessional people doing a great job. the rooms are spacious & clean . the pool area is beautifully & all the amenities work ice towels close to resteraunts I like Chinese China 1 great food ! I go out of my way to stay here in Tampa clear water st Petersburg area also I travel for a living live out of all kinds of hotels & motels anyone who gives this place a bad review is dilutional. this place is a diamond in the rough . a throwback to the old hotels on 19 I'm from FL. these guys are a good company try to compete with big company's. ps: anybody who says its a dump or is dirty with roaches is a bushy liar . this place is awsome! read more

I usually use this motel to get a homeless guy that's in a wheelchair with 1 leg a room when it's raining or cold this go around had been like the 6th week in a row where I get him a room for 3+ days I advocate for the homeless I also have others that help. This particular room isn't the handicap room he usually was given but it was raining so it is what it is . I got like a $5 discount by booking online even tho I had a text message saying I could get 2 /$99 or 3 /$149 there was no expiration date on the text but I was told the deal was no good I had just used the same deal 3 nights prior with no problem! I always record room before and after because they have kept my deposit due to the guy start bleeding in his sleep and that's understandable but they just washed the same sheets and re used them smh . On to this room the toilet was doing a slow flush and I notified the desk clerk and she stated the toliet was like that also maintenance did as well.. I recorded video of the toilet and how it flushed .. over the next couple days it got worse and they ended up sending someone with Asperger syndrome to assist knowing that will not get him anywhere! This (NEW MAINTENANCE GUY WAS SCARED TO GET DIRTY) he flooded the room with toilet water and he left the room to get a barely working shop vac he brought no towels or any disinfectant at all the homeless guy thought everything was over and when he attempted to get out of bed in to his wheelchair he slipped on the soaking wet floor broke and gashed his toe wide open! Blood was everywhere I had to go up to the motel the guy that claimed the toilet was broke was lying the maintenance man that was off that day told us the guy is scared to get dirty and has a disease.. The toilet was finally fixed and blood/water cleaned up next day I go to speak to the manager and her exact words this isn't a homeless shelter and this isn't a nursing home!? First off I pay my money for him to be here and anytime the sheets were messed up my deposit was kept and they still use the sheets ! SHE KICKED HIM OUT OF THE HOTEL BECAUSE HE WAS HURT THERE it was negligence on their part I have pictures I also have recorded conversations between the maintenance guys and myself and her and myself .. the only thing I asked her was to help me out with a night or something so I can get him to urgent care he didn't need to go back on the streets with the only foot he has to push himself around in his wheelchair! She told me flat out NO this isn't a nursing home or a homeless shelter ! It's bad enough he barely gets a good night sleep but to sit all night with a broken cut up toe because of your companies neglect is crazy if you ask me ! When I told her I wanted to take him to urgent care she looked at me crazy saying why didn't you take him last night well urgent care is not 24 hrs and I have a family also his insurance recommends not going to the ER unless deemed necessary... she then said this is not a place for him he can't stay here I have it all recorded the entirety re conversation just in case she wants to deny.. I had recently booked the supposably hotel site on Travelocity Website. Floors were dirty. No plugs or other things to charge phones etc. Holes in blankets. Unsafe wiring. Little too no services. They are painting rooms but I don't know how much it helps to paint over black mold. It is cheap but it's a horrible place. read more

I don't even know what to say. First I should have checked Yelp and not relied on Google and Trip Advisor where this place had 3 stars. This place barely deserves 1 star. When we arrived, got a room. The room was dirty, the toilet seat had burns on the seat in a non smoking room. But worst of all, there literally was blood on the sheets of one bed. Went to the front desk, the only reason they deserve barely a star-the clerks were apologetic and polite, they gave us a different room and upgraded us to a king bed. The bed was clean, the room was fairly clean. Now when I say clean I mean the sheets were clean, the trash cans emptied the sink and tub had been rinsed out. But, the bathroom door was cracked and dirty, the entry door had obviously been kicked in as it was difficult to get the key card to work and lock it from the inside. The connecting door to the next room had a broken food handle. Went to take a shower and the hot water faucet doesn't work no matter how you turn it. The coffee maker was dirty, not that it matter since I don't drink coffee. The pool is nice looking from the rooms but if you pay attention, they have lawn equipment out and exposed next to what appears to be a shed that is decorated to look like a cute little house. This place is "under renovation" a fresh coat of paint on the outside would be a huge improvement. The tile in the rooms are an improvement but the execution of the tile baseboards is sloppy. Maybe if they do a little better work on renovating and get rid of the drunk walking around and hire better housekeeping it would be ok, but this place has a long way to go to be even a 2 star Motel! read more

The owner of this hotel is ver very nice and sweet! This hotel sucks though. I do not recommend to go here. I mean, if you want a cheap price, go for it. First of all, our room is so gross. The bathroom door won't even close. There is mold along the walls. It smells like trash. Secondly, the service is so bad it makes me want to cry oh myyyy. The girl Ashley that works there and cleans the rooms is very nice, however the other ladies that work there are very rude. We asked for towels several times and never received them. It's like they disappeared. Also, we asked for new sheets and and they never put them on when we were gone. We asked again the next day and the lady just brought us the sheets and the pillow sheets to put them on OURSELVES?! WHAT?! I EXPECT THE EMPLOYEES TO PUT THEM ON BECAUSE ITS THEIR JOB!!!! There is also a restaurant and bar. The restaurant seems okay, but the people that work there are very rotten and rude. This hotels needs to step up their customer service. read more

We have a service dog, this hotel charges $10 a day for her. Florida law states that hotels can not charge a fee for a service animal, but they do not care. This is week 2 here, and zero maid service. Repeated requests for clean sheets and towels are totally ignored. Also, if you voice any complaints, you are summarily thrown out with no refund for the days you paid for that remained. read more

The room was filthy, literally layers of dirt on the carpet, mold all over the air vents, hair all over the bed, some disgusting appearing substance on the head board. The front desk employee was very rude and said point blank when being told and SHOWN how dirty the room was that "what did he want us to do about it and we could anyways leave." He told us first there were no rooms available to switch, then randomly changed us to another room after more complaining - this room had literal trash left in the room of empty cigarette packets (this was supposedly a non smoking room), no lock on the door, no smoke alarm, and MULTIPLE German ROACHES(the small ones not the palmetto bugs that you find anywhere. There was no way to sleep, when asked for a refund the on duty front staff said to wait for the manager, who after 3 calls finally returned the call and denied to refund the money for the worst hotel experience of literally all time. read more

I booked this hotel through Expedia and the picture and reviews do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the rooms. They were filthy! The floor couldn't have been swept or mopped in weeks. One pass over in bare feet and your feet were black! The sheets were clean but, the duvets were filthy and the matresses were horribly broken down. Although we put out the room service card every day, we had to empty our own trash, ask for a broom and beg for towels! We did not have room service even one day. The pool was green and remained that way for the entire 5 days we stayed. The patrons from the bar on the property got loud and made it difficult to sleep. The place smelled from active smokers of not only cigarettes, but weed too. Overall, unless you like to drink and smoke weed, don't stay here. read more

My kids couldn't play in the pool bc there were women in the pool basically dry humping and didnt want to be splashed. Saturday night I thought people were going to bust thru the window bc of a bar fight and we woke up to used condoms in front of our door. Picked this for its close proximity to Tarpon Springs and Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs (my favorite beach in the area). Came to this area with my brother to go to all our old stomping grounds we used to go to when our parents were retired in Port Richey years ago. The hotel room was adequate, the mattress was soft and comfortable. Starting with the reservation: We booked our rooms 3 weeks ago through Booking.com, as the price was decent. My brother called the hotel a day before we got there, and was advised the by the hotel that they had no record of it. Fortunately, he was still able to book a room. When he told me what happened, I checked on mine as well..they also had no record of it (big surprise..). Luckily, I was still able to rebook mine as well. Booking.com didn't screw this up, the hotel did. When we arrived, we asked the front desk clerk what happened, and he said he had no idea and kept changing the subject. (Side note, one day during our stay, we were speaking to the maintenance man who was helping us with our keys that kept failing to work to both our rooms (another issue). He told us that he personally took the original reservation from Booking.com and even had given us 2 adjoining rooms with an internal door entrance between the rooms. So, it appears that someone else subsequently deleted both our reservations, and wouldn't even own up to it or apologize on behalf of some incompetent employee, which we guessed was the front desk guy we spoke to based on his demeanor when we had asked him about it on arrival.) The pool is nice, but it's not a fancy hotel by any means. The hotel boasts all renovated rooms, but the outside of the building is somewhat shoddy and still needs a major makeover and paint job. One thing awful about my room was the bright white lights. The lights are not cozy, they are lights you would expect to see in a police interrogation room. Further, they do not illuminate the rest of the room, only the bed. The rest of the room is dark. There were 2 double beds in my room, and one of the lights over one of the beds doesn't even have a light switch, so don't know what's up with that. Grose as this sounds, I spotted a couple of dead bed bugs or fleas in my sheets. Thank God they were dead, but it certainly didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling looking at them. There were a couple of loud dirtbags on this property hanging around outside, I assume they were guests. There is also a separate bar by the pool, that also has some local roughneck patrons, although they were harmless. Neither of our rooms were cleaned the first full day we were here. We told the front desk about it. The maid had lied to the front desk and said the room had been cleaned. The second full day, we saw the maids and told them that we were soon leaving for the day, and if they could stop back in 20 minutes after we were gone to do the rooms, that that would be perfect. They never cleaned them that day either. So, now there are 2 days of wet towels piling up on the floors of both of our rooms, and no more soap or shampoo. (If the maids were leaving for the day when we saw them , they should have used their pea brains and at least thought to give us fresh towels and supplies, even if they didn't have time to make the beds.) We had to get towels each day the next morning from the front desk since the maid never entered our rooms. Finally, after my brother complained to a different person at the front desk, our rooms were cleaned on our last full and final day there (3rd day). I'm giving this 2 stars due to the lack of professionalism and overall vibe there. The only thing saving this hotel from getting a 1 star review is the nice pool, the price, and close proximity and convenience to Tarpon Springs and our favorite local beach in the area, Fred Howard Park. read more

I stayed at this hotel twice, the first time because it was one of the cheaper, but still decent hotels, the second because I enjoyed my first stay. This hotel lacks some rating because it's run down a bit. Perhaps the rooms could use new carpet and a coat of paint. But the plumbing worked fine, and the beds were comfortable. We found this to be very down-to-earth and homey. We stayed at a higher rated hotel while traveling to another city, but we liked this one more. I would definitely stay there again. read more

Built in 1940 this is an older hotel with clean rooms and grounds that are being renovated. The staff is super friendly and the owner is on site. For a 2 star, under $100 per night you can not beat this place. read more

Started off to be an OK place as the man takes us to the room to show us the room we ask about a coffee pot he said oh the people before you Musta stole it. Seems to me like there was people that live there there was some shady looking characters always around didn't feel very safe of a place but we were just there for the night because we were going to a concert that night went to the concert come back and go to use the toilet and the toilet seat wasn't bolted down and about slid right off . Needless to say get up the next morning go down for coffee lady said they had a rush and they drank all the coffee so it would take her 10 minutes to make another 1/2 hour later we go back down and there's no cups no sugar no creamer had to go back to our rooms to get a cup as we're going back to the office the housekeepers were arguing Iwith a man calling him some very nasty names because it wasn't time for check out but they wanted to clean the room so it was getting really ugly so needless to say we got our coffee and got the heck out of there wouldn't recommend this place to no one don't stay here just all-around bad experience.
