Consistency is key with anything & I can confidently say I've had nothing but good experiences in all the times I've stayed here. Most importantly, this hotel is clean. Whether it's the lobby, hallways, rooms or any of the common areas, it always seems tidy. House keeping does a great job at tending to the rooms, making sure the place is kept spotless. Of course, there's been times where I've had to wipe a countertop off that got overlooked, but generally speaking, they're on it here. They're also in a great location when it comes to visiting from out of town. They're less than 5 minutes from Honeymoon Island State Park, 10 minutes from downtown Dunedin & they're surrounded by delicious restaurants. In fact, they practically share a parking lot with one of the best seafood joints in all of Clearwater. You get free parking here, there's a nice pool, the gym is solid (but currently being renovated) & they have a pretty good complimentary breakfast. Coffee & hot tea is offered in the lobby 24/7. Honors members also get 2 bottles of water upon check-in which is always one of my favorite freebies. Overall, this hotel makes visiting a treat every time. The incredibly comfortable beds, quiet surroundings & nice staff are all you could ask for when traveling.

We won't stay here again…read more The photos look nice and, in general, it's okay. Here's what you should know: There is still musty carpet in the rooms. The A/C takes hours to cool the room down. There was a loud leak behind the walls in our bathroom. The toilet was not sealed to the ground so it rocked if you sat on it. The A/C had a loud constant rattle when it was on. The bathroom had no fan so anyone in the room can hear you using the bathroom. It also had no dimmable or soft light options so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you only have a bright light to turn on. If you look over the balcony you can see the rectangular pool, but when you sit on the chairs you only see townhouses across the street. If you can overlook those things, then here are the positives: The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge. The parking garage was small, but well-lit & you must use your room key to use the elevator, which is a nice safety feature. The room doors have a peep hole, but you also get a peephole cover so no one can look into your room. Once the room was cooled, it was nice to rest on their comfy bed. They have breakfast & a little shopette. Here is why we won't stay here again: The manager never called me about our terrible last night's stay. The last night of our stay, the next room over had a screaming kid & baby. All.night.long. I mean nonstop & it was impossible to sleep. By 3:30am we called the front desk & they said they would check on them. At 4am we called again because it didn't stop. I called & spoke with Kylie. She wasn't helpful & instead of apologizing or offering to move us, she only said "alright" before hanging up when I let her know that I would call back if it continues. When we shared our experience at the front desk the next day, the lady apologized, but that was it. I asked if they could do something for us, so she retrieved an older lady. That lady said that she can't offer anything but the general manager would be in on Monday & would call me then. Never received a call.

You can't sit and take a comfortable dump because the toilet was crammed under the counter (see picture). Every surface in the room was dirty and the room smelled like you'd just stuck your head in an ashtray even though we booked a smoke free room. We stayed for about 2 hours and drove back home. Needless to say we lost about $350. I sure hoped they used that money to fix some of the property.

They did offer substitute services but not a massage as booked and the spa experience was below acceptable for resort quality . Ashley's Victorian Haven B&B was highly recommended, and for very good reason. This two-story house was built in the 1890's, and recently refurbished and stocked with a lot of period-piece antiques. Barbara and her husband, Larry, are the inn keepers and super-sweet people. They're long-time residents of Tarpon Springs, and can offer lots of helpful advice about what to see and do during your stay in the area. They bought this house, located in the old Historic District of Tarpon Springs, totally rebuilt and upgraded the place, and then named it after their daughter. There is room for three groups of people to stay within the B&B. The first floor of the house has a one-bedroom suite with two Queen-sized beds and a private bathroom with a walk-in, triple-headed shower, and a separate antique claw-foot tub. That's where we stayed. Also on the first floor is the kitchen, where coffee is served every morning starting at 7am. There is a very comfortable parlor with comfy seating on the antique sofas, and a large dining room with wonderful antiques on display. Step outside onto the front porch, and you have a porch swing, and plenty of quiet places to sit and read. Upstairs in the house is a second-floor suite, and out back is a covered patio with a smaller vacation cottage. We spent our late afternoons sitting on this back patio and visiting with Barbara and her husband. She used to own a well-known antiques store in town, and has decorated the Victorian Haven with some of her cherished pieces. Once Barbara starts brewing the coffee in the morning, all of the sleepy heads come staggering down to the kitchen to say Hi to one another and visit with Barbara. By 9am she has whipped up a fabulous breakfast including pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausages, and more, and we all sit down as a group around her dining room table. She checks in with each of the groups to inquire about our plans for the day, and then makes suggestions as to the best shopping, dining, and sightseeing options. The lady knows her stuff! The home is located around the corner from the Tarpon Spring City Hall and police station, and so the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. You'll be walking distance to the famous Sponge Docks area of Tarpon Springs, and it was nice to leave the car behind, and get a bit of exercise. At night, the restaurants and clubs were also an easy hike from the B&B. We had a fantastic weekend staying in a very clean and comfortable B&B, and really enjoyed our visits with Barbara. She gave us some great recommendations about the new places to explore along Dodecanese Boulevard, and also the antique stores in the historic downtown shopping area. If you're looking for a great, reasonably-priced place to stay in the Tarpon Springs area, then I highly recommend that you check out Ashley's Victorian Haven B&B. It's a fun place to get away from it all.

My husband and I went for a quick honeymoon getaway, just 2 nights of our Florida trip because our room was booked over the weekend. There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel which was perfect because we didn't need our car in Dunedin. Check-in was seamless and the communication with the front desk was excellent. We stayed in the Zen Suite which has a patio facing the street. There is a lovely wine bar with live music across the street. Both nights we sat outside and enjoyed the music but do visit Stirling Wine (I reviewed them as well, great crowd). The Zen Suite is so comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. Anything you need is already in the room including dishes, flatware, refrigerator, iron, blow dryer and robes. It was easy to relax. The king bed was very comfortable. We found everything in the room easy to operate - TV, AC, door locks. We also enjoyed the pool area. The pool wasn't heated so it was too cold for me but my husband enjoyed it. I relaxed on a lounge chair with an umbrella. We also took advantage of the breakfast promo with the red next door which was very convenient. Overall 10/10 doesn't cut it. We cannot wait to visit again and will stay at least 3 nights!

Plenty of shower pressure and hot water in the bathrooms. The entire place is clean and outstanding from a decore perspective. The owners are very prompt in their communications. On top of all this you are essentially in the middle of downtown Dunedin with plenty of bars, restaurants and stores within walking distance. Even though we just had a three day stay, I'm already looking to book another stay here!!
