Stopped by on Friday, 12/05/25 for the first time with my boyfriend. We got the 6pm-7pm time slot however arrived late, so we only had around 15 minutes to ice skate. It was our very first time ice skating and oh boy, it was so challenging! Located at Pershing Square in DTLA.

Had the chance to go ice skating here last week and it was honestly so fun. I felt like a little kid again, and it wasn't crowded at all so I could actually skate around comfortably. I stayed for about 40 minutes, which was more than enough, and the ice was way smoother than I expected. Such a cute activity to do with your significant other or family and friends. I'd definitely go again next year if I can. The staff were super nice too, and everyone just looked like they were having a great time. Really got me feeling the holidays even more! Parking was just a but difficult because we had to look for street parking a few blocks down.

    Nice tree nearby

Have been wanting to try this out for a few years and decided to finally go for it! Could not remember the last time I Ice skated, but it was definitely a long time ago as this felt extremely foreign and seemed to be a bit more difficult than I remember, lol! Still, we had a blast and came early, so there was no crowd to bump into. The staff was friendly and helpful in selecting the right skate size and we enjoyed our time there. Definitely recommend it for the holiday season!

So nice to be able to ice skate right in the middle of dtla and to be able to see enjoy the views. Staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived. Pretty fun experience.

It's cute for what they have to work with...Pershing Square isn't the greatest location. It's not crazy expensive, but I probably wouldn't pay full price for this- I'm glad I had a discount. The ice is poorly maintained and extremely small. There are also no bathrooms or access to drinking water unfortunately, so keep that in mind for your trip. Lockers are a one time open situation, so once you put your stuff in, you can't get it until you're ready to leave. I still had a fun time and might return next year!

We got a special discount and have always wanted to try this location during the holidays. We went on a sunny afternoon to avoid the crowds and boy did we avoid the crowds. Lol most likely would've been much more fun at night with all the spectacular lights and possibly could've even run into Santa Claus. I had not ice skated in many many many years and was surprised how difficult it was.Got around the rink a few times without falling down so that was a plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the ice skates don't stink and are really comfortable. I recommend doing this at least once!

I always liked Pershing Square's at X-mas and the skating ring adds to it. It is a beautiful decorated place in DTLA, a new holiday tradition. I love the decor, cute and festive, the music and the atmosphere. The ring is on the smaller side and pretty crowded, it makes it hard to skate, people crowd about and don't skate, more like stand around. So that is a big issue with me. You do try for an hour to have some kind of skating flow. If it was bigger this issue might be solved! Lots of people who don't know how to skate around. Check their site for the schedule, it differs. $20 admission (with skates) for an hour. Snacks around, holiday cheer and puts you into the right frame of mind. Close to the subway stop! I come here more for the atmosphere than for skating, a nice X-mas vibe!

Lovely! I ALWAYS enjoy visiting this ice rink. Great workout. Skated nearly TWO HOURS. The mornings seem to be an ideal time because there's plenty of space on the ice. The crowd usually arrives in the evenings when the temperatures are cooler and the holiday lights are on. Everyone was GREAT! One of the rink professionals (whom is also an Ice Skating Teacher) offered to re-tie my skate laces :) Awesome Sauce. Good music. Some photographers present to capture the moments of the skaters on the ice. Excited to ice skate once more!

Haven't ice skated for years and figured the temperature was warming up so we went to try it. So cool to be able to do this in the middle of Downtown LA. Pretty decent set up. $20 for an hour of skating and rentals. Locker rental is $5. Can buy tickets online and designated time to skate.

i have always wanted to do this and i was not disappointed. I took my two 4-year olds and it was a hit. We had an amazing time! So festive and fun to skate outside n downtown LA. And for $20 including skates-- felt like a deal. You can park right underneath the rink. sign up and pay online-- and go at the assigned time. it was clockwork-- seamless and easy, especially for LA.

$20 per hour session (update price Dec 22, 2023)

$20 for an hour session included skate shoe rental, parking around $20 for a day or $4 each 10-15 mins across street. Nice view outdoor ice rink.

I would give negative stars if I could! Stay away!…read more I am writing because we had my daughter and her friends joint birthday party today. The girls were so excited and have been begging to have a party there. The manager there was nothing but rude & hostile since the moment we arrived. She made the two birthday girls cry and told us us we cannot use the desert we brought for our kids which is a candy cake i made for the kids and small cups of shaved ice (I have been to a party here and was served this same shaved ice before!) I was not told that we could only bring cake or cupcakes. It did not say that on the forms I signed. Our kids do not eat cake. Then she said if kids don't eat cake that's why they make exceptions for other things, so I asked them why can't you make an exception for this and she said she wont but wouldn't give us a reason. She said her higher up manager would need to approve it so I asked to talk to her and she gives me a card and says she won't be available until Monday. And then just walked away and never came back. We were supposed to have a party host, no one helped us with anything. Other people on their staff were kind and said they were sorry for how the manager acted and that they would've let us have the desert but for some reason this woman immediately decided to be rude to us. On top of this they up charge for every little thing, the pizzas were teeny tiny and the drinks were served in weird dirty Rubbermaid pitchers. Needless to say we will NEVER be back and tell everyone we know to stay away. If i hadn't already paid the deposit and had 20 kids on their way I would have left. The girls were in tears and asking to leave because they were scared of how your manager was speaking to us. Btw I've emailed the "manager" Marissa and she has decided not to respond.

I reported a coach that teaches during public sessions WITH evidence included. A month later, I received an email from Laura- the skating director at Pasadena- saying she was unable to take any action because the coach is a private instructor, despite them teaching at the rink for hours every day and teaching group classes! Below is the email I received. ------ "Because the concerns described involve interactions between a private coach and a private student outside of an employment relationship with the rink, any remedies or claims would generally need to be pursued by the individuals involved, as private citizens. That said, we want you to know that you are welcome at the rink, and we sincerely hope you will continue skating with us. Our goal is for everyone who comes to the rink to feel safe and respected, and we would be happy to see you back on the ice. Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention, and I apologize again for the delay in my response. Sincerely, Laura Wishart | Skating Director" ------ In short, "That doesn't involve us, not our problem. Deal with the sexual misconduct yourself. But we hope you can ignore all that and keep coming back!" So disappointing.

We typically arrive early, grab a snack from the café, and have generally enjoyed our experience. Today, however, we had to stop by the front office for assistance. Unfortunately, the staff member who helped me, whose name I did not catch, but who has very distinctive half-blonde, half-black hair, came across as rude and condescending. My child had forgotten his lanyard, so we asked for a temporary tag, something we've done before without issue. Beyond this interaction, there was a noticeable sense of entitlement in the overall environment. When I visited the ProStride store, I was the only customer present, yet there was no greeting or acknowledgment. When I asked for assistance, it felt reluctant and forced, as though helping was an inconvenience. As someone who works as a Director of Member Services, I was disappointed by these experiences. Front-facing staff set the tone for an organization, and today's interactions did not reflect the welcoming, family-friendly environment one would expect, especially in a space that serves children and families.
