A great stay at this lovely hotel! Friendly staff and they have my favorite kind of yogurt complimentary! My room was comfortable- there are several restaurants within walking distance- My room was also very clean- very hot shower that seems like it would last forever! The only thing I can brag about here is the sweet woman who takes care of the daily breakfast and greets everyone with a smile and a "good morning." When I called the front desk to ask if there is an outdoor area where one can sit and read the reply was , "I don't think we have anything like that...Some guests sit on the benches out front." So I set out to get the answer I needed. There are actually two benches outside, right outside the indoor pool area which would have been helpful to know, yesterday. My advice? Stay at the brand new Hampton Inn across the street - I drove over there today to check it out. It's $10 cheaper a night, has several LOUNGE chairs outside their indoor pool area AND there's a super cool outdoor fire pit with a comfy seating. read more

I was hesitant to stay at this location since there have been several negative reviews about cleanliness. I have stayed at other hotels in Sikeston, MO and always put this one on the back burner. This time I decided to give it a try since it was closer to my destination for a funeral in Dexter, MO. Easy check in on line and friendly staff. It has all of the amenities of the Holiday Inn newer hotel designs. Best thing was when I went to sleep, I pulled the bedding up to cover myself and could smell the freshness of clean sheets! I crashed early and woke up at 2am. When I stay at any Holiday Inn, I know they have the Keurig coffee makers (a plus), so I always bring extra k-cups to have my coffee in the morning. I won't be hesitant to stay at this hotel next time!!! Oh and the breakfast was good. Sausage links were a little crisp but I would rather have that than an uncooked sausage link. The hotel was easy to book online. Front desk people were friendly. Breakfast was nice. Heating and cooking system worked perfectly. The lobby was nice and clean. I stayed here twice but not sure if I stayed in upgraded rooms or not. Both times the bathroom floors were sticky and the tub showed signs of rust in the corners and on the floor of the tub. The toilet seat also showed signs of some kind of stain as if something metal was on it for a long period of time. I only stayed one night on both stays to break up travel. I would not stay here for more than one night. read more

I found a bed bug. I'm sure bed bugs are common and hard to manage for a hotel. I left a note for the manager to call me with a bed bug taped to it. She didn't call me I had to call her, when I did talk to her she said she couldn't confirm anything was or wasn't a bed bug but she'd have look at it and call me back.... She never called back. I stayed there all week and found it the second to last night there. Trying to be helpful and limit contamination I suggested I stay in the same room. They never did anything for me. I have to say, as a road warrior I live in hotels, lifetime hilton diamond member and a current platinum elite member..this is the by far the worst holiday Inn I've stayed at. 2 days in a row house keeping didn't make the bed or get towels off the floor or replace used towels replace coffee, I'm in town on business and will never stay here again under this management, not to mention there's no CCW sign on the front door.....if you're a CCW law obiding citizen you're not welcomed here...keep that in mind, criminals will know you're an easy target...manager must be a complete idiot. ...find yourself a better hotel where you're welcomed and where house keeping can do their job because it surely isn't at this hotel.. read more

The musty smell hit us as soon as we set foot in the hotel. It has been around for a while. It looked really outdated both the room and the hotel. Our toilet was not bolted to the floor plus the outside door to the hotel would not close. Staff was very friendly and attend to our needs. I have stayed at nicer hotels for the price we paid. read more

Right off the highway. Wonderful night manager. Quiet, clean rooms. Open breakfast area, which made for a relaxing check out and breakfast time. Indoor pool was very clean and tidy, heated.. but a bit nippy for Texans. Super clean rooms, and luggage carts at the front door ready for use. read more

Not a premium hotel but definately worth what I paid. Clean, quite and comfortable. As far as employees the front desk attendent started singing as if he was a contestant on American Idol. Weird and annoying but at least he didn't start dancing! Can't really comment on breakfast it's heat and serve so eat if you need too. read more

It's tough to find a really nice hotel when you are so far from a major metro area. The Holiday Inn line has been hit-or-miss. I have stayed at some very nice ones and some that I will never stay in again. So I was a bit nervous when I made this reservation. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the hotel is, how friendly the staff, how inexpensive their rates are and how updated the rooms are. Good to know for my next trip to Sikeston. read more

This building has obviously been around longer than HI Express has been in existence. It's a little worn and frayed around the edges, but overall we had a positive experience. The staff was friendly and everything was reasonably clean and tidy. The beds and linens are clean and comfy. There is an indoor heated pool and it's truly heated (warm! like a bath!) The pool even has a chair lift for disabled access. The price is pretty good when compared to other HIEs. While you're here you should definitely have a meal at Lambert's just down the street! read more

Needed a place to stay for the night on a road trip. Not worth $150 for the night but I guess the Memorial Day weekend gave them an excuse to jack up the price. I stay here every time I visit Sikeston. My 2.boys love the hotel. The buffet style breakfast is definitely an added bonus. The indoor pool adds another cool amenity. The room are modern with flat screen tv's. The staff is very friendly. Hope your stay is as good as mine. read more

For rural area - room was clean - refrig and microwave nice to have but old and furniture old... Spent three nights here with a group of six others. I found the rooms to be comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were a fine way to begin the day. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again if I was in the area. read more

Place was one of the nicer holiday inns I have been to. Brand new hotel. Downfall is it is about 4 miles away from the interstate 55

Clean room, HORRIBLE INTERNET. Come on people, it's 2018, get your internet up to speed. I can't even work with this limited connectivity. Also, No CCW here....posted on the front door. Wish I'd known that, as I'll be staying up the road next time I come thru here. read more
