My first night in this hotel was pretty miserable. The moment I walked into the room, it smelled like cigarette smoke and mildew from 1985. I immediately went back to the front desk and told them but the person at the front desk told me that nothing could be done. I did not sleep that first night at all, as I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke. All she offered was air freshener, which, of course would not have helped. I called the front desk again and complained, but was told all the rooms were sold out. The next day, a different person at the front desk helped and got me moved to another room. That room was so refreshing after the first night of experience. They are doing construction and the first night I was on the first floor, which has not yet been renovated, and the second night I was on the third floor, which The entire second floor was shut down while I was there. Initially had two stars based on the terrible customer service experience that I had with the woman at the front desk, but they redeemed themselves with the next person who helped. We stayed in an older room. The bathroom smelled like urine and all the touch points were very dirty, no excuse. Staff were friendly, just not very clean atmosphere. Public floor areas were very dirty as well. We've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels and this one is definitely not the best, we won't be back. Step it up management. read more

I love the shower, I love the Watkins products! The pillows on the bed or amazing! The mattress is a little firmer than I would like but the pillows made up for it and I slept really good. Staff is friendly and helpful. I wish I would have taken pictures of the room. It's very nice. I like the bench they have in the room because you can sit your suit case on it to keep from having to lay it on the floor and bend over. I would recommend staying here! read more

I've stayed here twice now and had a wonderful experience both times! From check-in to check out, everything went smoothly. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. They're also very helpful. The location is great. It's within minutes of everything in Greater Tampa Bay including Honeymoon Island, New Port Richey, Clearwater Beach, The Sponge Docks of Tarpon Springs, Odessa and Lutz. There's a growing variety of restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores in the area. Complimentary hot breakfast buffet is from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM Monday to Friday and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The breakfast includes fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon and/or sausage, biscuits, muffins, pour-your-own pancakes, juice, yogurts, milk, and more. The coffee station is hot and fresh 24/7. Amenities include a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, sun deck with fire pit and grill, hammock, corn hole game, 24-hour fitness center, Wi-Fi, business center, etc. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and spacious. The modern decor in the lobby extends to all the hallways and rooms. Beds are comfortable. I've slept in both their double beds and king bed. Absolutely no complaints about this hotel. Only stayed here 1 night but I was really impressed with the hotel! We booked a lake view king suite at the government rate of $126 which was really quite a deal! Check in was easy and our room was ready on time. We got there right at 3pm. Our room was on the 3rd floor and not too far from the elevator. The room was very spacious and had very nice amenities such as a microwave which you normally dont get in a hotel room unless specifically asked on request and have to pay extra for, it had a modern lighted vanity mirror which was great for applying make-up, additional hanging space for clothes outside the closet, a large built in storage bench for luggage, an ergonomical office chair, and a coffee table that extended up for comfortable eating on the couch or using a laptop. The decor and color scheme was very nice. It was mid-century modern in cool tone colors like chartreuse and dark electric blue. The bed was firm but comfortable and there was an array of different pillows from soft to medium firm. The view of the lake was also peaceful and you could see the outdoor hangout area below. Breakfast was included and that came in handy for some much needed greasy food after spending all night drinking at a wedding. We had their biscuits and gravy and some extra sausage patties. The location of the hotel was also close to a few breweries and the highways. Would recommend to anyone staying in this area. read more

What a horrid, terrible experience here. We were hosting a seminar for a government agency at this location. We explained that we had two small packages coming in and we'd appreciate it if they could get the packages either to our room, or hold at the front desk for our seminar. We were clear on arrival, clear the next morning (day the packages were expected), and clear in our questioning on the third day before the seminar began. Each time, we were told "don't worry, we deal with packages all the time." We never received the packages (more on that later) Then, the evening of the seminar, we discover that Eric at the front desk, had made an error and we didn't have a reservation for that night, so we had 30 minutes to get out of our room following our seminar, to move to another room that he'd "taken the liberty to reserve because of the mistake." Oh, BTW, you'll have to move to ANOTHER ROOM for the next night, due to "our mistake." We said "screw it" and decided to move to our next hotel two nights early, as we were teaching at another city 3 hours away. Before leaving, we asked again for our packages that were expected two days previously, that Amazon had said were delivered "to the front desk." Again, we were told the package hadn't arrived. We left, drove the three hours to our next hotel, and I re-ordered the products for our AV system to be delivered at the current hotel. Two days later, we get a phone call from the front desk at the Odessa location. "We're really sorry, your packages did arrive, but they were delivered to the mailbox in our lobby. The front desk manager is the only one with a key, so it doesn't get opened very often. Gee, we're so sorry." And then, even though this was THEIR ERROR, they charged us $15.00 to ship it to our next hotel. Except, they didn't ship it per their promise, they held the package until two days ago (14 days after we've left their property), and called saying they'd ship it to our home, and tried to AGAIN charge ANOTHER $15.00 to send it to our home. They screwed up nearly everything they could, and collected extra cash from us to pay for our shipment that they screwed up in the first place. All this without pointing out that their staff wears masks around their necks, no Covid precautions in this hotel at all, dirty conference room, embarrassingly noisy staff (calling down the hallways to each other early in the a.m.) and a general trailer-trash approach to everything. The only redeeming thing about this junk property was the closeness to a decent Starbucks, and a couple great restaurants. We won't be back. read more

hello, i have been here with my fiance for roughly a week after being displaced by hurricane Helene and have just had a wonderful interaction with an employee at the front desk named Rick. He was extremely courteous and very mindful aswell as helpful with our needs. Let me explain my 2-star review! The front desk staff was amazing, and the grounds are wonderful. However, my first room smelled like smoke, so they moved me. My second room had two queen beds one set of sheets had old brown blood on them, and the other had hair in them, and the air conditioner didn't work, but since it was very cool that week it was no issue. I asked for a new set of linens and changed them myself. I stayed longer than initially planned, and they moved me to a third room, and there was a dead bug on one of the beds. The best part was enjoying the outdoor firepit bit. There was trash in the cushions of the big single chair, and the other cushions were dirty. The gentleman on the front desk gave me a towel. The breakfast was probably delightful. However, my one time down for breakfast, an older gentleman reached in and took bacon with his bare hands. The lady told him to use the tongs, and he dropped it back in the pan, grabbed the tongs, and took some bacon. She then added a new bacon and mixed it all up! read more

Stayed overnight here and was quite happy with the hotel. Besides the slight mishap of them putting me into a dirty unclean room they rectified it ASAP. The new room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and the breakfast area had much to offer from scrambled eggs, bacon, pancake station and plenty of yogurts. They have a nice coffee bar area and there is a Circle K and Marcos Pizza across the street. This hotel is very close to Medical Center of Trinity for those who travel and work in the medical field. read more

I stayed here Sunday with a friend while his Ac was being repaired to catch up on some much needed rest, and truly enjoyed myself. Staying at the The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Trinity was by far one of the best hotel experiences I have had thus far. Checking in and out was very easy and literally took about 2 minutes to complete. Our room was super spacious and came with a huge walk in shower and vanity style mirror, which was great for applying my makeup the next day. The best part about staying here was simply sleeping in such a soft bed that came with four of the fluffiest pillows I have ever felt. Great hotel for the price! This is clearly either new construction or has just been renovated. Everything still looks crisp, new and extremely clean. The colors are updated and the rooms have trendy furniture that looks great. The refrigerator, microwave and in-room Keurig were nice as well. I also really enjoyed the various lighting levels you can set. And, small thing, but the TV stays on the channel that you had it on when you turned it off rather than reverting to the hotel's info channel. I appreciate that. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are several amenities that you don't find everywhere including the hammocks, pergolas and patios out back looking over the lagoon. I'm not sure how useful they would be during the summer with mosquito season, but they were delightful during the winter. There's really not much around yet, though. Be prepared to drive for dinner if you stay more than a night. Quite a bit within 20 minutes, but not a lot within walking distance. Another little aggravating thing, and this is more a hotel critique than a THIS hotel critique, but if you're going to have the little sign that pledges your commitment to using less water by leaving the towels that are hung up, please do that rather than just swapping them out. Or, get rid of the little cards. There's plenty of parking and the location is extremely easy to find. I would stay here again. read more

I was VERY pleased with just about everything this hotel. The staff was perfect. I don't have one complaint. We missed breakfast our first morning there, when we went down to just get coffee the lady that appeared to be in charge of the breakfast offered of fresh fruit or yogurt! To say the hotel was clean would be an understatement! Everything was pristine! The room was VERY comfortable! I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning because it was so comfortable. Our room had a view of the lake which was absolutely stunning! The decor of the room is very modern, and the print in the bathroom in the room was great! The staff throughout the entire hotel was very very helpful and accommodating! Amy (I think that was her name) at the front desk was SUPER helpful! Wonderful stay here at the Trinity Holiday Inn Express for a nearby Wedding during Columbus Day Weekend. Staff was very kind and helpful throughout the entire stay. The hotel is spotless which was proved by witnessing employees constantly walking around, inspecting and putting misplaced chairs (and other items) in order. Room was great and had a very modern feel to it. Bed was very comfortable. Large breakfast and seating area in the lobby. Fitness center was adequate, clean and well kept. The back area is gorgeous, overlooking a little lake in the back. The area has a pool, hot tub, a few tables with chairs and hammocks. In the evening, the center of the tables are lit to become little firepits. It was a large group staying at the hotel for the wedding and we really had a few memorable nights back there with the family. Right near the hotel (walkable) is a pizza place and a Dollar General (Feel free to load up with snacks for the room there). If you drive about 5 mins, you will see a McDonalds, Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts. My only complaint would be that though the continental breakfast extends later than most hotels until about 12PM?, going down at 11:40 is never a good idea, as it was already packed up, when I went down. The woman was nice enough to get me a few things out of the fridge, behind a closed door, but everything was literally put away already, which was a bit annoying. Overall a great stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area, even over more "prestigious" named hotels. read more

Great hotel with a warm and welcoming staff. We booked a block for our wedding guests and they were more than accommodating, offering a complimentary room for the bride and groom as well as a shuttle to our a venue. When I expressed concerns about not having enough space on the shuttle for our guests, they promptly rented an additional van. The rooms were clean and the entire hotel was pristine, with a lovely back patio with games, hammocks, fire pits and the pool, of course. This hotel also featured one of the better continental breakfasts. All the employees were courteous and eager to assist, but I mostly dealt with Kristi, who was very professional and communicative throughout all of our dealings and helped us out immeasurably. We had a family reunion in Port Richey, FL and had around 30 family members stay at this location over the weekend. The staff here went way above and beyond to be very accommodating to any request we had. The property is top notch and has many amenities such as the pool/jacuzzi and plenty of outdoor seating around a fire pit and even a couple of grills to cook anytime. What a great staff at this hotel. I've lived in this area for 25+ yrs now. When I was making reservations for my family to come and visit for SupperBowl Weekend, I knew there would be little to choose in regards to hotels for any place close to trinity. When I walked into the lobby I was immediately impressed by the newness of the place. I knew that it was just recently completed but let me tell you, this place looks great inside. The room price was a bit high, I thought, for the area. I had already looked around the New Port Richey area and there was nothing as clean and as nice as this place. So I booked it that day. I have stayed at this brand hotel before while on the road and have always been satisfied. When my family had arrived in town they were very pleased with the accommodations. They had told me that the staff was very friendly and always willing to help with any questioned. WOW! I highly recommend this hotel. It was spotlessly clean with great amenities and a very large crew always working to keep everything clean and pretty. We relaxed by the pool and jacuzzi, lounged in the hammocks, and even lit a fire in the outdoor fire pit while relaxing on the comfortable patio furniture. The kids enjoyed riding their scooters on the sidewalk surrounding the hotel. When you walk in you are drawn to a spectacular view of a lake a surrounded by large trees and you can't even believe you are in the middle of a city.
