We won't stay here again. The photos look nice and, in general, it's okay. Here's what you should know: There is still musty carpet in the rooms. The A/C takes hours to cool the room down. There was a loud leak behind the walls in our bathroom. The toilet was not sealed to the ground so it rocked if you sat on it. The A/C had a loud constant rattle when it was on. The bathroom had no fan so anyone in the room can hear you using the bathroom. It also had no dimmable or soft light options so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you only have a bright light to turn on. If you look over the balcony you can see the rectangular pool, but when you sit on the chairs you only see townhouses across the street. If you can overlook those things, then here are the positives: The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge. The parking garage was small, but well-lit & you must use your room key to use the elevator, which is a nice safety feature. The room doors have a peep hole, but you also get a peephole cover so no one can look into your room. Once the room was cooled, it was nice to rest on their comfy bed. They have breakfast & a little shopette. Here is why we won't stay here again: The manager never called me about our terrible last night's stay. The last night of our stay, the next room over had a screaming kid & baby. All.night.long. I mean nonstop & it was impossible to sleep. By 3:30am we called the front desk & they said they would check on them. At 4am we called again because it didn't stop. I called & spoke with Kylie. She wasn't helpful & instead of apologizing or offering to move us, she only said "alright" before hanging up when I let her know that I would call back if it continues. When we shared our experience at the front desk the next day, the lady apologized, but that was it. I asked if they could do something for us, so she retrieved an older lady. That lady said that she can't offer anything but the general manager would be in on Monday & would call me then. Never received a call. read more

Visiting this coast is always a great time & knowing this hotel is here when I'm around makes it that much better. Whether it's pricing, cleanliness, customer service or location, I have nothing but good things to say. Consistency is key with anything & I can confidently say I've had nothing but good experiences in all the times I've stayed here. Most importantly, this hotel is clean. Whether it's the lobby, hallways, rooms or any of the common areas, it always seems tidy. House keeping does a great job at tending to the rooms, making sure the place is kept spotless. Of course, there's been times where I've had to wipe a countertop off that got overlooked, but generally speaking, they're on it here. They're also in a great location when it comes to visiting from out of town. They're less than 5 minutes from Honeymoon Island State Park, 10 minutes from downtown Dunedin & they're surrounded by delicious restaurants. In fact, they practically share a parking lot with one of the best seafood joints in all of Clearwater. You get free parking here, there's a nice pool, the gym is solid (but currently being renovated) & they have a pretty good complimentary breakfast. Coffee & hot tea is offered in the lobby 24/7. Honors members also get 2 bottles of water upon check-in which is always one of my favorite freebies. Overall, this hotel makes visiting a treat every time. I'm so glad there wasn't a single thing to complain about and that's amazing! Located in Dunedin, this hotel is actually a level higher to help not get flooded during an possible hurricanes or storms! They have two elevators to take you to the floor to check in, which also has the food during the morning for breakfast. The staff was super friendly and helpful during check in, making sure the little requests we had were all fulfilled. I really enjoyed that you need to tap your card on the elevator to unlock the floors to get to your room. The room itself was very clean and spacious. There was a very nice amount of plugs so I was able to get all my electronics plugged and charged during the night! The shower and bathroom were very clean and the soap they offered smelled very nice and fresh! The breakfast was generic but I will say that their biscuits were out of this world and I was guilty at having more than I should've. They were very crispy around the edges and super flakey! My family stayed here for one night recently and we will definitely stay here again when we're in the area. Located minutes away from downtown Dunedin and also Honeymoon Island, it's a perfect place to stay. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as a Publix in case you want to load up your room fridge with some food/drinks. Our room was great, the beds were so comfortable as most Hampton Inn beds are. The only negatives were that the water pressure was soooo low and the bathroom floor was kind of sticky. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices including fruits, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, 2 types of omelettes, breakfast bagels that had egg, cheese and bacon on top, oatmeal sausage different types of breads: bagels and make your own waffles. Finally, I have to give a huge shout out to Roy who was working the front desk when we were there. He was so kind and so helpful and he is a real asset to Hilton (they own Hampton Inns). 3 nights this trip... Initially we had reservations for a sister hotel about 3 miles away also in Dunedin. But that hotel was damaged with the most recent hurricanes around here. I received a phone call saying this one is a option and is more of a high rise hotel. Being a little cheaper certainly helped the cause. The ground floor has a covered parking lot and an outdoor heated pool. Check in is on the first floor. That said, we stayed on the second floor in room 209. It had a king sized bed with just one small dresser for storage. Small mini fridge and microwave. Downstairs on the first floor has breakfast served till 9 AM. Hot / cold items are available and are pretty standard. If you want anything after that (lunch or dinner) just go across the street to Frenchy's. Which we did a few times. The staff at the hotel is very pleasant. Check in & out was a breeze. Housekeeping is only done every few days. Which seems to be a common trend these last few years. For what it's worth, this looks like a pretty new hotel. And there is much to do in immediate area. Yes we would stay here again. read more

I could tell when we were pulling up to this hotel it was going to be nice. The location is great. You can walk to places to eat, drink or stores. Upon entering the building the elevators are on the first floor. Which I think is nice. You go up stairs or the elevator to check in. Kathy checked my husband and I in and she was super nice. We will be here for 2 weeks so she gave us a lot of places to eat, drink or shop. Which are all in walking distance. The rooms and bathroom are super clean and big. Im guessing it's quiet here to because I haven't heard one person in the rooms next to us or in the halls. I know they are busy because there are a lot of cars in the garage and parking lot. read more

On the the positive side, the staff here are lovely, and that makes all the difference. But having just gotten back from overseas travel I was struck by how unattractive our room was- with a steel grey sleeper sofa, steel grey carpet, and poor lighting- it was too dark in the room at night. The towels are on the thin side and the breakfast, like most hotel chains- pretty bad. The thin " blanket" on the bed ( like a spread) was slippery and oddly shaped. And the place isn't cheap. I think this Dunedin location is probably the same as other Hampton Inns. I think a more creative interior designer could make a world of difference. read more

This hotel was very nice! The room was clean and roomy. The lobby was comfortable. The staff at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. Our air conditioning unit broke and they were able to accommodate us with a fan until the repair crew came the next day the beds and bedding were very good quality . The pool area was small but was able to accommodate the group that we were with. The staff that made the complimentary breakfast were very polite and helpful. Phenomenal stay. This is my third time here and it never disappoints. The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, safe and in amazing proximity to Honeymoon Island State Park. It is the staff that puts it over the top though, from the bubbly welcome at the front desk (sorry I missed your name) to the energetic service at a great breakfast. For instance, not only was Dave zooming around keeping everything stocked, he surveyed every guest still eating when it was time to close up at 10 to make sure no one wanted anything more before he closes the doors. Opened about 10 days ago. I knew going in they would be experiencing growing pains. Being a local 10+ year Hilton member I figured the service level would be somewhat in line with the values of Hilton. It is not. In summary, the right people are not in place here. Maybe they are the right people but clearly not adequately trained to represent the standard Hilton values. Pros 1. The hotel is brand new, it's beyond clean. 2. It has covered and uncovered free parking 3. Stable free WiFi and breakfast 4. 3 miles from Honeymoon/Caladesi island 5. 3 miles from downtown Dunedin (cute shops) 6. 7 miles from Clearwater 7. Pool gets shade in the morning and sun in afternoon 8. Rooms available with fridge, microwave, and balcony 9. Super comfy beds 10. Across from Frenchys outpost which has decent/good seafood and drinks 11. One block from a small plaza that has a dollar general where u can get anything you need for the beach. Next to the DG is a shop you can rent bikes from Cons 1. In a residential area and I could hear everything everyone said while standing in their yard. The noise from the people at the pool also echo'd. 2. Customer service. Untrained or improperly trained staff. Management needs to get in front of this. Really that's all I have to say. The pro's far out way the cons.i travel for a living so I'm a very low maintenance guest. For those that are high maintenance you may have issues here. In time i hope it improves but for me right now, I need to think hard about if I'll stay here again. Right now the answer is no. With that being said it's still a great rate for a prime location in an adorable town with not many hotels. The hotel itself is nice. The location is AWFUL. It is not near anything, not near "cute" Dunedin. Not near a beach. There is absolutely nothing to do around it and it looks like it's in the bad area of town. There is no trolley close. It absolutely is a lie that it's location is good. Have tried to get refund so my kids vacation isn't ruined by staying here but as of now they won't. Will update but definitely don't stay here or you'll spend your whole time driving to find something to do. read more

Don't stay here. Unethical staff and management. Everything was find until we checked out. I left a pair of jeans and a cardigan sweater in the closet. We called same day as soon as we realized (by then we were four hours away in Miami) and were told they could not be found, but that housekeeping would call the next day. No call, so we called back. The "assistant manager" claimed he looked in the room and checked with housekeeping and they could not be found. He said the manager would not be back until Monday (this was Friday morning at about 7am). Called back Friday afternoon and surprise, the General Manager was in. She says that the items were not in the closet and could not be found. Refused to believe that I had left them and essentially shut our inquiry down. These items WERE hanging in the closet. We forgot them because the closet shares a door with the bathroom and we forgot to check. The fact that they were there when we left and then not turned into lost and found tells me one of the staff either threw them away or took them. Either way, the lack of customer service when we called negated our whole experience at this hotel. We are relocating to the area and need to make a couple of additional trips out there. We will NOT be staying at this hotel - because of the dishonesty from the staff and management. read more
