Beautiful spot for a wedding and from what my friend told me, very reasonably priced. My close friend recently got married at this location and this was the first time we've ever heard of the place or been in the area. It was quite a drive from Lutz however worth the trip to attend her beautiful wedding. Staff seemed to be very attentive to her needs while there as well as during the reception to ensure everyone had drinks and food plates were removed promptly. Good organization of the wedding as well. Not sure of the options available, however my friend's ceremony was outside in a small little private courtyard and the reception was indoors in one of their ballrooms. Decor was beautiful for both. The weather also cooperated for the outdoor ceremony -- as soon as it was over, the rain began! They also have some great areas around the building for some pretty photos. If you're in the market for a wedding venue, you may want to consider this location. read more

Our event coordinator was Daphne and she was amazing Shes very detailed oriented very helpful and got back to me as soon asap when I had questions. I've been familiar with the Spartan Manor forever. I grew up with the family that ran it in my youth. Today, I was there to attend my Mom's annual investment group Christmas party. The location was clean, except that there was the smell of wet dog. The decor was what you'd expect for a wedding venue, large crystal chandeliers, 1980's carpeting, round tables and white cloths, and a small parquet dance floor. The service was good, coffee and tea were constantly refilled. The food looked institutional, but tasted excellent: A 'Greek' salad, Lemon chicken, baked potato and carrots, dessert was white cake. Simple fare, but when your clients for the day were mostly over 70, bland is pretty much the way to go. read more

A-OK indeed! I went here for a friend's wedding and was pleasantly surprised with the nice parking lot in which I could park myself (I hate valet). There are long dark hallways leading to each event space which kind of reminded me of a scene from The Shining. The bathrooms were really clean and well kept. My friend had her wedding in a back room that was connected a cocktail bar area. The bar staff was rather unpleasant to be honest and I saw them roll their eyes at a few guests who were ordering drinks. One guest simply asked if Jack Daniels was part of the open bar offering (I didn't find that to be an eye roll worthy request). The rest of the staff was awesome and very kind in filling our waters and bringing us items to accompany our food orders. I had the ham and eggs which was enough food for me. Others at my table kind of made fun of my dinner selection but I found it to be enough food and it was flavorful. I guess the chicken and waffles was the food of choice at this particular event. It looked really good and many got to-go boxes for leftovers. The dance floor was a nice size for the gathering and I liked the overall decor. So i had gotten married in 2022 and I had gone back and forth if I should write a review about one of the biggest days of my lives so here goes. My experience started off amazing with Daphne she coordinated our wedding beautifully down to the D.J which not impressed at all. So through the ceremony there supposed to play particular songs from Dj which not Spartans fault but why do we pick these special songs if there not going to be implemented in the nose memorable day of our life right so then a waiter trips and falls while serving food gets hurt then a waitress bumps into me and accidentally dumps each down the front of my dress so I'm like ok a few drinks won't matter but the Dj never really played any music we asked for and never received my husband and I our names the holographic dusk we payed for and I asked for a year after and I was given the run around by all. Spartan usually uses this Dj so make sure you don't Over all bartender was amazing food was great decorations beautiful.But I believe in second chances so I will recommend you but the Dj ummmm noooooo read more

I came here for a wedding. I believe there are 2 maybe 3 rooms available for use with an out side garden and a nice size parking area in the back. When we 1st arrived, on time, im not sure if they were prepared to accommodate the wedding guest. Everyone was in the hall around the corner to allow the bride to enter without the guest catching a glimpse of her before the ceremony. The ceremony was outside and the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The reception area was bigger with a dance floor. The food was great. The salmon was salty and i didnt kniw the chicken was going to come out smothered in cheese. I tried to change my order before my server placed the order and she told me they ran out of salmon. Ok. Not sure how that happened. Now the drinks on the other hand were made well, thanks to the bartender. The place was ok. Just not a place i would invest my special day. read more

I have been attending events at the Spartan Manor for many years now...everything from company Christmas parties, bar mitzvahs, confirmations and job fairs to Wedding Day extravaganzas. Color me unimpressed. The food is usually very bland. The decor is very "Italian Great Grandmother" circa 1976. I almost expected plastic slipcovers on all the furniture. There are very tacky photos of brides gone by littering the lobby, a lot of faux marble statues all around the perimeter, a big baby grand piano in the lobby you are forbidden to play and a lot of fake plants. There's a lot of reds, golds and ivory in the decor...which I suppose is swell if you want your wedding in a pizzeria but not necessarily in a wedding hall. There is a cute outdoor area if you are interested in hosting your wedding reception outside. But again, a lot of reds, golds and strangely, cobbled brick work...which is insane to me. As you know, most people (women) attending events like this are generally in heels. Whoever decided it was a smart thing to do cobbled brick work out in the courtyard was probably a) not really thinking it through or b) a man who has never wore a pair of heels a day in his life. And again, those corny faux marble cherub statues holding big oversized vases of G*d only knows what. Borders on cheap and tacky. But it is a nice little gazebo if you choose to get married outside. The area is not tented for your guests though...so rain or brutal sun is always a Florida option for your attendees. Plus, the outdoor area is VERY small, so if you are having more than about 50 guests attending your reception, it will end up standing room only. For me, the biggest plus is the ENORMOUS 12 foot concrete wall that surrounds the banquet hall, so that you can't really see that you are still in New Port Richey and keeps the riff raff from floating into your party. However, there is VERY limited parking and you will find yourself having to park across the street in a grocery store parking lot right in the middle of Massachussetts Avenue, which is not exactly the sexiest area in the world. The prices are pretty out there. A 3 hour cocktail only reception, which is their cheapest wedding package and includes: Champagne Toast Tiered Wedding Cake 7 Hors D'oeuvre Items Unlimited Open Bar for 3 Hours is still $41 a person which is pretty lofty for hors d'oeuvres only. Quick aside? Did any one every look at the word "hors d'oeuvres" and think it looked like "Horse Divorce"? I remember thinking that when I was a little kid...that our local deli was where horses came to end their marriages. Anyone? Someone? No one? Just me? Alrighty, then. Moving right along... They have a wedding coordinator there who does not charge you for their services so that's a plus. However, there are not a lot of extras for the money, but they will take care of setting you up with everything you need (at a fee) such as DJ's, bands, clergy, MC's, etc. While I don't know that I would necessarily have my wedding there, it is a decent place to host a cocktail party or business event. They can accommodate up to 600 people, which is a plus if you happen to know every single person in New Port Richey. Overall, not the worst banquet hall in town...especially since its the ONLY banquet hall in town. Best choice when left with no choice, I suppose. read more

Spartan Manor has recently undergone numerous upgrades and the building is extremely well maintained and exceptionally clean. The inside has been totally remodeled. I have been covering weddings in the Tampa Bay area since 1979 and have been to numerous (as in several 100) wedding and reception locations throughout Florida's West Coast. The first thing that comes to mind is value for money. This is a family run business, not a large corporate hotel chain and their prices reflect that. The food quality is very good and always served hot. Their kitchen is hundred feet or less from just about every table. If I had a dime for every cold plate I was served by a hotel chain I could retire and I mean that honestly. The hotel chains plate and cover their food and by the time it gets from their kitchen to your table it is cold. I hate cold baked potatoes! The bar service is very generous and free poured and always a hit with your guests. My family is from Scotland and they couldn't drink their bar dry and I had a 6 hour reception with 187 guests! Spartan has some of the very best Hors D'oeuvre of just about any place I've been. They often refill them if they run out too. I guarantee you won't get any better service at most of the beach resorts either and you'll pay more, much more! Moving on, the facility offers some nice photo opportunities with a fountain, court yard, grand piano and a green spaces out front which I use often. Your wedding or event will be well planned and executed as you had envisioned. Daphne and the whole Spartan staff do a wonderful job. She can also provide you with reasonably priced vendors that have a long history in working with Spartan staff. This all simply adds to your day unfolding perfectly and making it easy and stress free. Bottom line, with all things considered and price being a priority you absolutely can't find better overall quality, service and value for money than Spartan Manor. Your guests will be impressed and never have to wait in a long line at the bar for 10 minutes to get a drink either. Yes, it's obvious I love Spartan Manor. read more
